  1. I didn't know if he was a diabetic. When they have really high blood sugar episodes, it's often mistaken for being drunk. That was the only thing besides drink/drugs that I could think of that would make him look that bad.
  2. Was he drunk or sick or something to make him nanner on like that?
  3. That's pretty cool. Hopefully I can visit it someday.
  4. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 11, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) Don't worry. As long as you're not a terrorist it doesn't matter if they listen in on your calls. Hell, they should also be allowed to open your mail and read your emails. LOL! I pity whoever it is that has to log my calls, emails, etc. They have to be bored outta their gourds logging my calls, emails, etc.
  5. OW!!!!! What a catch though!
  6. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ May 11, 2006 -> 03:02 PM) Palermo's.
  7. I guess I will be concentrating on the Sens game. Hopefully they can get a victory.
  8. Quick question on this. With all this logging, are they listening in to calls or just quantifying who call who and how many times? How can you find out if they are listening to your calls?
  9. Updated: 10:10 a.m. ET May 11, 2006 IQALUIT, Nunavut - Northern hunters, scientists and people with vivid imaginations have discussed the possibility for years. But Roger Kuptana, a guide from Canada’s Sachs Harbor was the first to suspect it had actually happened when he proposed that a strange-looking bear shot last month by an American sports hunter might be half polar bear, half grizzly. Officials seized the creature after noticing its white fur was scattered with brown patches and that it had the long claws and humped back of a grizzly. Now a DNA test has confirmed that it is indeed a hybrid — possibly the first documented in the wild. "We've known it's possible, but actually most of us never thought it would happen," said Ian Stirling, a polar bear biologist with the Canadian Wildlife Service in Edmonton. Polar bears and grizzlies have been successfully paired in zoos before — Stirling could not speculate why — and their offspring are fertile. Breeding seasons for the two species overlap, though polar bear gets started slightly earlier. Polar bear and grizzly territory also overlap in the Western Arctic around the Beaufort Sea, where the occasional grizzly is known to head onto the sea ice looking for food after emerging from hibernation. 10. The admins and mods at the Canes board I post are obsessed with closing threads and warning people. Starting to drive me nuts. Doesn't help either that they changed their URL (due to a server change) mid playoffs.
  11. I go to Ballys (either the one just off Golf Road in Schaumberg) or the one across the street from Chicago Ridge Mall (and once or twice to the one in Evergreen). The one in Schaumberg is nice, but they seem to take a long time getting equipment repaired. The one by Ridge is dark inside, but I really like it and would be there regularly if it weren't for the lack of parking and rush hour traffic (I go to the one off Golf to let traffic die down).

    RIP John

Very sorry to hear that. Prayers are out.
  13. Canes up 3-0; Sens down 3-0. About the complete opposite of what I was thinking was going to happen (I was hoping for 3-0 for the Canes, just wasn't sure if that was going to happen).
  14. CONGRATS!!!! It is wonderful to hear both baby and mom doing well. Welcome to the world Alyssa! May 10th is a great day to have a birthday!
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 10, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) Yeah, Farmer stinks....then again, I'm probably the only one, but I didn't think Rooney was God's gift to broadcasters either.... Makes two of us that thought that.
  16. Yeesh, it's his first time pitching in the bigs with a knuckler and a bunch of family in attendance. Give him this game and then see what he has in the next.
  17. I hear ya, Steff. Sperm donor has a $10 a week payment to make to my sister. Has he paid it recently? Nope. Has he been looking for a job? Not that any of us know of.
  18. Between my senior year of HS and most of college, I didn't sleep much - insomnia sucks ass. Generally I get about 6 hours of sleep a night and it usually works well (every now and then I have to sleep a full 8 though).
  19. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 9, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) Britney Spears just announced on Dave Letterman that she got knocked up again. Kevin Federline has at least 9 more months of spousal support! Since she is due around 10/2, about 5 or 6 months haha.
  20. I just saw the clips from the Canes game and DAMN I wished I could have seen that game. I got chills just watching the clips, I can only imagine how much screaming, yelling and jumping up and down I would have done.
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 9, 2006 -> 09:12 AM) I can tell you from experience that going to a job you hate everyday sucks. It literally just drains you. The big thing is to try to work him towards something new and better to give him some hope. Even if it doesn't bring immediate gratification, keep trying because somedays frankly nothing will help. Help look for other jobs, or get him to go back to school, or try for a promotion, or whatever is the next logical step for him. Good luck, its a thankless postion to be in. That's been what I am doing. I am just not used to seeing him like this. This is something he would always go to his dad about (to get perspective mostly and to get a kick in the ass). I do think part of is that he doesn't have him to go to and he has tried to go to his older brother and doesn't get much conversation out of it.
  22. How do you help someone that is depressed? The last 6 months or so for Brian have been tough and it seems like the toll is starting to show on him. He keeps saying that he is just tired, but I know it is more than that. I can hear the flatness in his voice, the frustration when he talks about his job, etc. I have tried suggesting that if the CFD thing doesn't work, to try to go back to his last job where he was happy (money and vacation wasn't great, but he liked what he did). At FDP, he goes between being a feeder and a second pressman and it is a union shop which means fantastic money, but ball breaking hours. He has at least managed to stand up and say he will not work all weekends, that he wants at least one full weekend off each month. That has helped some, but the presses he works on are some of the biggest piles of crap around. If they were Heidelbergs he would have very little issues with his job other than not acclimating to the third shift. Just nannering, but hoping someone could give me ideas to cheer him up...
  23. Thank you! It really sucks ass not being able to see the game. This is the first game I haven't been able to watch since right after Thanksgiving. grumble grumble grumble lol
