Good friends of ours that went to Toronto last summer said just the opposite about its cleanliness. He's a huge Blue Jays fan so it surprised us when he said that. Maybe it was just the areas he and his wife visited.

I have read that statement from him when the first one came back. Quite frankly, he has a point. I do not know if I believe he doped or not at this point as one test (with its "back up" test) has turned up positive. What about the other legs of the race as well as before and after? From what I understand, those were clean. Are they sure it isn't his hip medication showing up in these tests (he is the one getting a hip transplant, right)?

A co-worker of mine is up there for the weekend visiting family and going to the games.

I just looked up some info at WebMD and it looks like a side effect of lactose intolerance in small children is growth issues (most of the other symptoms listed were him to a T except the "growing out of it by the time they are a year or two"). Hopefully it can be treated by supplements, and at worst, human growth hormone (or something like it).

If you could send good thoughts and prayers to my 3 year old nephew (his bday was 8-3) it would be appreciated. He had a doctor's appointment for a check up yesterday and it looks like more tests have been ordered. They feel he is too short and are trying to see if there might be anything specific causing it. Since he is 3 and still cannot handle dairy, they are also putting him through some testing to officially diagnose it as lactose intolerance (the sperm donor has this as well so it wouldn't be a huge surprise). He goes for the tests in about a month and in the mean time he (mom) has to keep a diary of what he eats every day. He does take vitamins every day, but we are hoping that at worst it will be calcium supplements. The doctors didn't give my sister any idea of what they suspect might be the issue so we are all a little rattled at the idea something could be wrong with our little Dude. Oh, I had to share this. When I went to seem him on his birthday, I brought a cake, ice cream and some presents. As soon as he saw me he asks, "Are you bringing me my happy birthday?!" He was so excited to see me which melted my heart. We played catch for about an hour (he kept changing the "ball" we were playing catch with haha) and his friends came by. We ate dinner, then cake and then the presents. While he was opening them, his "girlfriend" Lexi was helping him and her mom told her no and then my nephew told Lexi's mom it was okay she was helping him. He was so excited to get the "Little People" CDs and DVD that I bought him as well as the overalls (the pants and shirts he liked but didn't get excited over haha).

At work. Our power was out yesterday from noon to 7PM at home. Speaking of work... Why the freak ask me for details if you are just going to disregard them anyhow? I really hate having my time wasted.

Happy bday! It's also my nephew's 3rd bday! Can't wait to bring him cake, ice cream (if I can find the silk, lower lactose kind) and presents tonight!

Actually as of the last two months or so, the stats say the Royals have been one of the best in terms of scoring runs (or something like that is what Hawk and DJ said last night).

Keep it as low-keyed as possible. As mentioned dinner and maybe a flower or two. I mentioned to Brian that on 7/30 or 7/31, it was 6 years since our first date. Only reason I remembered is that a good friend on mine has a birthday on 7/30 lol.

I hate sales calls during lunch lol.

Brian is a huge Joker fan (even has a Joker tatoo) and is excited about this, but wasn't so keen on their choice for the Joker. This is supposed to be more of a how he became the Joker flick from what I have read.

We just went to Lake Geneva for a few days. We went swimming (okay, he swam I waded), on a boat cruise, bought some paintings and out to dinner. We were there for 3 full days and hated leaving. We are looking at going to Raleigh, NC in the early fall as well.

I agree with Steff and Soxy and I also think the husband should have been up on charges. He knew she was suffering from PPD and continued to knock her up and ignore the signs. She should never have been alone with those kids, not even for a minute.
