Any PSU/Spartan Fans Out there
Queen Prawn replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I follow the MSU Spartans football team. Them, NC State Wolfpack and the Cyclones are the college teams that I follow. -
I didn't see it myself, but from what I have read on several sites, Boris Said spun Ryan Newman and when Burton and someone else checked up to avoid the wreck, Skirt didn't and spun Burton.

Skirt Busch needs to learn to pay attention in wrecks. What a jerk.

Jermaine has been a blast to watch. He was a little rusty in the beginning, but damn, he has proved to be an excellent catch for us. Maggs does look a little goofy with the longish hair. Seriously though, it seems like he is doing well enough for the Tigers. Works out for both teams, just is costing the Tigers a good bit more cash for the results.

QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 10:55 PM) I'd say it's those that experience the rejection and don't have proper parents to explain it to them is why things like Columbine happen. Thank you!!! I was picked on quite a bit from 6th to 8th grade, but always had my parents there to explain the behaviors as well as help to cheer me up. Had that not been the case, I do not doubt that I would have done something stupid just because I would have had so much pent up rage and sadness. Instead, I dealt with it and by the time I got to high school I learned to shrug it off and get involved in activities and with people that didn't give me problems. I ended up haveing a very successful high school and college career because of my parents guiding me through that tough time.

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 12:26 PM) I started 1st grade when I was 5. My b-day is in late October but my parents somehow got me into kindergarten when I was only 4. I think the cutoff now is they have to be 5 or older by September 1. Same here, except my bday is in mid-November.

I agree Yas. Brian and I go to a ton of hockeys (at all levels) each year and generally end up cheering for the visiting team (all out favorite teams are kinda far away). We've only dealt with rude fans a few times (generally they had too much liquid courage). I am also used to seeing jerseys for teams that are not playing and it is actually fun to see how many different jerseys we can spot.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 06:53 AM) Stay in school kids or this could be your next job . . . I am more curious how they are planning to taste the insulin. :puke

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 07:38 AM) Not really, I have noticed on my Hotmail Account though, the spam has just been crazy on that. My MSN account has been filled with crap that has been getting through the spam blocker lately.

I use the Sure clear stick. So far, no problems.

This sucks. We just received word that a coworker is dying (as any time now). He was such a cool dude. When he came back after a prolonged medical leave, he said knew he didn't think he had a lot time left and every day was pretty much a gift. His doctors had told him he had weeks left and there he was several months later coming into work for a few hours here and there. Reading the email that was sent about his current condition reminds me too much of what happened with Brian's dad (except that with my coworker it was cancer and with Brian's dad, it was a stroke).
-
I just finished, "For Laci" by Sharon Rocha. I am currently reading, "The Second Time Around" by Mary Higgins Clark. On deck is "The Onion Field" by Joseph Wambaugh (I also have another Mary Higgins Clark book waiting at home for me.)
-
That's some powerful stuff they had there. I wonder how this will complicate my parents' trip to LV next month (he has to carry on his insulin).

It makes me sick they are "protesting" over this kid while an innocent little girl was shot to death by a drive by while she was playing video games in her basement. Why no protesting there for an innocent little girl?!

Happy bday!!!

Yahoo is the only search engine I will use as it seems to be the most reliable for me (use it for technical searches at work). I do not use either site for an email address though (used to use yahoo way back when though).

Couldn't afford one of those at this time, but it is at the back of our minds for the future.

You have GOT to be kidding me. That makes me sad. Christmas is going to be tough this year let alone having displays popping up already. We are going to concentrate on the religious aspect as well as family for Christmas more this year than we have in the past (leaving presents for the kids).

Well, it happened. Brian is serious about trading in his Maurader he just got in February. He loves the car, but with the chance the gas prices are going to continue to rise rather than stabilize, he wants to get a 4 banger (likely either a Ford Focus or a Cougar I-4 if he can find it). I just hope he can be happy with the lack of get up and go most 4 bangers have (which is why I pretty much refuse to ever own one again - with all the highway driving I do, a 4 banger will make me lose it when I get passed, left right and sideways lol).

hahaha actually thanks, I needed that laugh. Wasn't feeling really great after being treated like a 5 year old.

It was an experience like today's that really makes me hate going for my cleanings. Yes, I have braces and have had them for almost two and a half years and will have them for at least another 6 months, nothing I can do about it and it isn't like I just love having pieces of metal stuck to my teeth poking me in the cheeks. I do floss, albeit not very well, but hell whenever the hygenist tries to floss for me, she breaks the floss and can barely do it so obviously if she can't and I am at least trying, it is the best as can be expected at this time. And why is it that the hygenist gets disappointed when you tell her that (after the fact) your gums do not hurt?! You would think they would the way she was poking and scratching them with the scapel-wanna-be thing she was using to clean my gum line. Hopefully when I go in February for my next cleaning I will have an estimated time of removal for the braces...but I am not holding my breath on that . As a treat to make me feel better, I went and took 4 books out of the library.

By my BIL's house in New Lenox, it is $3.15 a gallon for 87 and by home it is $3.29 a gallon for 87. I figure it'll go up at least 5 cents with today's news.
