From September until about April, I make all the cookies we eat at home - I have to keep a stash of choclate chip cookies for Brain or I never hear the end of it.

Excellent points, both.
It was nice to see Big Jim at a game recently. I was really steamed to hear one of those creeps on blab radio (B & B maybe?) later make a snotty little remark about him.
I was at a game he was at (maybe the 9/24 game - I can't remember). As soon as they showed his mug on the screen the crowd erupted in boos. I wasn't paying attention and was wondering why everyone was booing since it was mid inning and I noticed him up on the screen.

According to weatherbug, there is a 30% chance of showers/t-storms this afternoon. We were getting that chance quite a bit during the summer and generally saw not a damned thing. Nothing much on the radar except a few cells in Wisconsin. I get a feeling if we get anything it will be heat induced storms not a cell moving across the midwest, but I guess we shall soon see.
I wish I had the opportunity to go. My co-worker received tickets from his father-in-law (season ticket holder) because he is out of town on business. Why can't my future-father-in-law be a season ticket holder lol?
With this weather we are having, I keep thinking it is just midseason. I don't know when it will hit me that this is the post-season. In 2000, I had to keep ducking out of class to get scores and this time I get to ignore the phone and email while keeping track of the game.

Oh, please, please, please, please win.
That's been my mantra since the White Sox made it into the playoffs lol.

BTW...go Whale!!! My favorite non-Blackhawk hockey uni.
It's the hamsters that keep us together.

so, will he be playing golf tomorrow, like the Mariners?
Scary thing is that he is a Packers fan as well. It's a good thing he works third shift - that way I don't have to deal with him lol.

I feel for ya. Brian and I were dating in 2000 . . . he is a Mariners fan. That is all.
