And he's got a LH stick. I think the only negative thing about him, compared to our other CFers, is that he once played for the Cubs.
-
Roman....that's bulls***, and you know it. You're not a fan of MB because he has pitched s***ty over the past month or so. If MB goes on a Cory Lidle like streak in August when we really need him to, are you still going to be anti-Buehrle?
-
You could make the same argument for a guy that has great hands, but s***ty range as well. Jose makes the plays that some SS's do not make....but does not have great hands, which some SS's do. Tell me...do you think a pitcher has more confidence with Royce Clayton at SS or Jose Valentin at SS?

They're all minor league pitchers??? Signed, Captain Obvoius

It's something like that. I definately don't want to give them Crede. I'd consider a Rauch, Garland, and Reed package....but I'd have to consider it for quite some time. We'd then have to lock Beltran up, which would be hard as hell to do with Bora$$ as his agent, until Webster is ready. If we could get him for $6-$8 mill...that'd be great....but nothing more. If he wants more....go with Borchard or someone signed as the CFer.

There is a difference between Colon and Ryan....a vast difference. For starters....Nolan Ryan struck out some 5700 batters in his career, or something like that...and he pitched 27 years, which obviously showed that he had good mechanics....which brings me to my next point, in that Colon does NOT have good mechanics. He does not have bad mechanics....but they sure as hell ain't good. If you are ahead by quite a bit, and your pitchers has over 100 pitches in the 7th or 8th....you take him out....period.

IMHO....we do have good defense at SS. Just not a good glove....if you can understand what I'm saying. Jose has incredible range...and a very, very strong arm. However....he misses a lot of routine plays, and can get wild with his throws. I just think it would kick major ass if we somehow, someway got Edmonds from St. Louis. I'd give them a lot.

KC will not be in contention come July. Guaranteed.

Does this mean we are in the Beltran race? I hope so.....I would give quite a bit to get Beltran. He's a better version of Jose Cruz, IMO.

Kielty is a guy that I hate on the Twins but would love to have him on the Sox. The guy is an OBP timely-hit kind of guy. He kills balls when he needs to. He is the guy that single-handedly pretty much cost us atleast 3 games last year....without including intangibles in there. I remember the first Twins-Sox series of the year....Ritchie pitched...and Kielty hit one a mile out to CF on a 3-0 count(which, BTW, I hate.....I can't stand it when teams hit us hard on 3-0 counts...bugs the s*** out of me). We lost the game, and it seemed Ritchie's ERA went no place but up after that incident. Also..the last series of the year....Kielty hit 2 2-run homers on back-to-back nights in the bottom of the 8th inning with the score at the time being 2-1. Unless he signs with the Sox...I'm gonna hate that f***ing son of a b****.

Even soxfan420 could get into the team then! Anyways....I was thinking that we trade PK and either Rios or White....whoever they want....for Kim and Womack. We take on some salary....and get a leadoff guy in Womack....and if Jimenez doesn't want to get his lazy ass into CF....Womack can go there...with Rowand as the 4th guy, getting plenty of starts.

Guys....when BMR is positive....you know good things are about to happen!
-
I think he was trying to imply that it was a very, very s***ty throw. Had Paully K not made that play....I would have blamed Jose for atleast the tie, in this instance....unlike in the Minnesota series.
-
Carlos Beltran??? I think he would look damn sharp in a Sox uniform about now.
-
You wanna talk about dumb....now that is dumb.] What a f***ing idiot. He should join America's Stupidest Criminals.

Roman....has anything tragic ever occurred to you in your life? You've never thought "Is suicide right? Of course not....that is just not right for me. I'm gonna live my life to the fullest" ??? If you have....and I'm sure you have done atleast that...then that is atleast thinking about it. I've done that before....and it just doesn't sound right. I'd rather be living on the streets then being dead....plain and simple. There are too many wonders in life not to live it to the fullest. Roman...something tramautic will happen to you in your life time....and it will bring you to your lowest low - there are far too many things too terrible to mention that could happen - and I'm sure suicide will cross your mind, and you will be strong enough to get through it, because you seem like a strong human being.... ....even if you have some questionable ideas.

Holy s***....Sox win. I didn't know this team was even alive. They showed signs of life tonight.
-
swing and miss at ball in dirt, 0-2 count cmon BILLY! ball way high 1-2 GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS 1 out wait it was a nasty slider here comeshinske ball 1 1-0 meeting at the mound here we go.......... OMG foul by 2 inches down the RF line 1-1 count If Nardi were still the pitching coach....that ball would have landed in the seats in LF.
-
A DP would be huge here.
-
Right now, I'm hopping back on the Aaron Rowand bandwagon....he can hit f***ing .125 for all I care....it sure as hell won't hurt the team the way they've played and he's the best defensive CFer in either the AAA or MLB levels for us right now that can be used.
-
There is a difference between Buehrle and Ritchie. That is, not including the fact that Buehrle is a lefty and Ritchie is a righty. Buehrle has a career ERA of under 3.50.....in the AL. Ritchie's best year to date was a year in which he posted an ERA around 3.50...in the NL. If you translate those...I see much more success out of Buehrle over those 2 years than I do out of Ritchie in that one. Can pitchers not go through rough times or something now a days? Am I the only one on this board that realizes it is May? We are lucky it is not July or August...that's when we should get worried.

I am not saying the sox are going to win the division, but i have a feeling tonights game was the beginning of good things for the sox........... Knowing how Murphy's Law kills us constantly....this will be the first time BMR is wrong.

I can fire back a very good smart-ass comment now and then too.

Hell will have to freeze over and then some before Garland and Wright show consistency. Also....welcome to the boards! Hopefully you can have some fun this year!
