That's because Jerry Manuel has been managing for the first time again since 2000. He started managing again last Wednesday(?) against the A's. It was easily spotted with like 7 guys hitting out of spot. This is fun baseball to watch. Yet another late inning comeback. Last year....this would have either been a loss, a lucky win, or gone to extras. I somehow knew we'd get this one.

OK....in that case, I'm fine with the ejection. I was pissed as hell when Garland got ejected in that Stinky-Twinkie series.
-
Were the benches warned ahead of time?
-
I'm in the middle. I want to see both teams get the s*** kicked out of them....and I'd like to see us in first place....but first place only matters in August and September, not May and June.

Who needs clutch hitting when you can get clutch walking?
-
See, we all knew it couldn't last. He hit like 6 homers in April or something like that....and I bet he doesn't hit 4 the rest of the year....meaning he won't get to double figures.

Top 10....sheesh. Excluding Harris for now....I'll try. I'd put Ichiro in there....Luis Castillo....not sure how fast Chone Figgins in Anaheim is, but I know he's fast. Rafeal Furcal is pretty damn fast too. Juan Pierre, Alex Sanchez in Milwaukee, Dave Roberts in LA, Womack in Zona, Soriano as well...and then I'd say it's a tossup between Carl Crawford in Tampa Bay and Jimmy Rollins in Philly. You think Harris fits into those guys? I do. Kind of sad though, IMO. Speed really is a lost art. I kind of wish I lived in the 80s....get to see guys like Rickey Henderson and Vince Coleman fly from first to second constantly. Then seeing Lofton in the 90s....man, that is fun baseball. Hitting homers is cool....but they are much cooler when they are like nails in the coffin. Kind of like Konerko's homer against the Cubs last year in that comeback when we were down 8-0 and he hit the homer to give us the lead. Those homers are the greatest. When you are up 3-1 with runners on first and second, and a guy hits like a 450 foot bomb....those kinds of homers kick ass.

Colon has 79 pitches through 7. He could probably pitch into the friggin 11th if we need him to. Ponson's at 99....so hopefully he'll come out and the Sox will get to the Orioles pen.
-
I still think selling tickets for a dollar like once a month or so would get more and more people out to the park. And lowering ticket prices would do some good too...and lower it for all games, except the Sox-Cubs games. Keep the Yankees games at the same low price.

On speed alone...it's Willie Harris. He's gotta be top 10 in speed in the majors. He can flat out fly. No one has figured out how to steal first yet....except Lloyd McClendon

Well, this team's bats couldn't be held at bay for too long, IMO. They have too much pop, and hopefully in this upcoming series they will explode. This Twins series is a perfect statement series. We will hopefully go in strong, (like coming off a sweep), and Minnesota is coming out of a game where they lost 9-5 in 14 innings. Right now, they're bullpen won't be as strong because of the 14 inning game, and we'll hopefully just be steam rolling into this series. This is the perfect time to get hot. Though it doesn't mean much, we could be in first place by the end of May.

You like saying that, don't you?

Did anyone notice what I noticed? Frank starting to hit better = team starting to play better When Frank is happy and hitting well....the team is playing well....and winning.
-
Just found this out All of Frank Thomas's homers have been solo shots.
-
Sweet....I'll be able to watch Garland on WGN, and Buehrle and Loaiza with the Twins FSN station.
-
Hairston Jr....he appears to be a solid player, and there'd be a possibility I'd take him over Jimenez's lazy-ass. He doesn't draw many walks....though he has this year(19 in 36 games? he had 44 in like 160 games in 2001)....and he's got good speed, and apparently has some pop too. I'd give them PK and DJ for Hairston and Ponson maybe....someone like that.
-
Does Lugo like to f*** teammates ex-wives? If so....then yes, we did.
-
Buehrle, Garland, Loaiza So Garland is going to pitch in that series? Yeah..... he's had pretty good success against Minnesota, if memory serves me correct, so it makes sense. Not to mention, JG has a little retribution to dole out for being ejected the last time he pitched against the Twinkies True. I hope he plunks Mientky's ass again. That f***head deserves it everytime. Career against the Stinks, Garland is 1-1 with a 3.75 ERA in 36 innings. Not too shabby
-
How in the f*** are the Wild gonna get out of this hole? Down 3-0...they have got to be f***ed, don't you suppose? The last time Anaheim played Minnesota, Anaheim advanced to the World Series. That looks like the scenario that is going to happen now as well...though the Ducks will go to the Stanley Cup Finals, not the World Series.

Then why don't they sent his ass down to get some work then instead of making him sit around holding his dick? I just assume that he'll get sent down. That's all I can hope for.

Maybe I should be a white rapper. Or maybe I should just flip the camera off every time I see one!
-
No, I liked the other one a lot more. Someone else can have dibs on that one though.

You know what....I'm thinking you just gave me my new avatar. Look what a little b****ing can get you!
