Find me a SS on the market who meets that criteria

What are you talking? Read again

It must be Manuel's fault that we always play corpse ball against a no-name pitcher we have never faced and has a 7.00 ERA
-
I was just about to post that....anyone who wants Judy over RJ is nuts Judy is young, and of course RJ will not be with us beyond next year but I want to play to win it all the next two years
-
Bernie Williams 0.249 Derek Jeter 0.278 Sheffield 0.295 Pay Rod 0.279 Bambi 0.225 Posada 0.265 Matsui 0.284 Wilson 0.218 Lofton 0.298 Except for Matsui and Sheff, do they suck or what for the $ they get paid? (Lofton will never keep up that avg once he gets more at bats)
-
Before we get too ahead of ourselves, this is the Texas Rangers pitching we are talking about....and their worst two starters too
-
The sad thing is I would kill to have him in our BP right now Foulke, Shingo, Damaso, Politte as the main guys would be awesome, with Cotts and Adkins brought in as needed for spot duty
-
Foulke blew another one late last night giving up back to back HRs to Olivo and Edgar Martinez...Ms came back to win it in extra innings off a grand slam by Boone Olivo got a single to get the bases loaded for the winning grand slam Foulke has now blown 5 of 19 saves, and has blown 4 out of his last 6 saves...

Yeah, I think Cleveland has as much chance to beat the twinkies as they have to lose to them Twinkies cannot play more than 0.500 ball against them (at least in terms of being favorites)

I would love to still get Robbie Alomar back and send Ben Davis down That way, we get a strong depth on the bench for the IF and OF when playoff arrives Robbie can be a very good LH bat to spell Willie or if Willie continues to struggle Between Willie and Rowand, CF is covered from both sides of the plate Jurassic can be the reserve OF'er or even play CF against tough righties in the playoffs, or play DH if Frank does not get back Between Robbie and Uribe and even Willie, LH and RH is covered for 2B Of course, we can play Uribe at SS to rest Val against some lefty pitcher too That way, our depth lets us sit people when needed or to get best LH/RH player on Robbie has started to hit well again (now at 0.289 overall and hitting 0.359 in July with a 0.432 OBP in July) .....it should be easy to get him real cheap (some really low prospect) though I doubt KW has ever forgiven him for his contract issues last off season.....though with Sandy around, he would be fired to come back here.

And they have to play without Mauer again ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA (TICKER) -- Rookie catcher Joe Mauer was returned the disabled list by the Minnesota Twins on Monday with a sore left knee. Mauer, the top pick in the 2001 amateur draft, originally tore the medial meniscus cartilage in his left knee attempting a sliding catch in the second game of the season. The 21-year-old underwent arthroscopic surgery and missed two months. The 2003 Minor league Player of the Year, Mauer is hitting .308 with six homers and 17 RBI in 35 games this season.

Starting weekend @ Baltimore @ WHITE SOX Boston Anaheim Oakland (4 games) @ Seattle @ Cleveland YANKEES Cleveland @ Texas (4 games) @ Anaheim Texas If they come out first at the end of this, they probably deserve the division....I just do not see them doing that though The only two series they start off as favorites is Ms and Orioles

For those that bash Frank for anything and everything, here is another clue for you ignorant fools. Everytime Paulie is asked to play DH and let Frank play 1B (which happened more often last year under Manuel), Paulie has whined about how difficult it is to play DH and not be in flow of the game etc etc Now, Maggs comes out and says the exact same thing. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Maybe some of you FT bashers will realize how the man has been doing it for a long time now and doing it so well.....

LostinBoston and Ozzie Do you guys know Montreal is paying for all of Carl's salary this year? So, basically we will be able to replace Maggs next year with Carl (who when healthy can play the RF fine) if Maggs walks. Carl will make 4.5 M next year and his #s are worth that much (he will definitely hit 20 dingers considering how friendly USCF is to dingers now) We can spend the delta between what Maggs wants and what Carl will make (which is ~10M) to get pitching
-
Well Carl will shut these assholes up for one night Of course if Carl does not hit a HR every game, this trade will suck
-
It should be 3 out of 4
-
I said it before, get Beltran baby or get a Randy Johnson so that we can win games 1-0
-
Jeckle You talking abotu not panicing/knee-jerking? Classic...
-
Wanna re-consider cowbell?
-
You know Harris has zero HRs this year right?
-
Why is Borchard with his impressive 0.167 avergae batting ahead of Uribe at 0.267? Yes Uribe has been slumping but he is better than Borchard :headshake
