I am very happy they are not going to waste money on someone as over-rated as Maggs Puhlease....let him go to the yankmees. I am sure Gerogie will be increasing his payroll now to $300M now that he has seen the Bo Sox win it all, and no one is talking about his chokeees.

Because I finally realized how good I would feel when we would win it all....and then I realized the true reality is the reason they won is because they got Schilling etc We will never have that kind of payroll....and hence we will be dying without ever witnessing what the Bo Sox fans are witnessing right now I spoke to a lot of my Bo Sox friends....called them to congratulate them....and they all told me of peopel they knew who they wished were around to see them win tonight And then it struck me....some day some one will say that about me.....coz the White Sox will not win my life time....and I am not even f***ing 30 yet

We should keep Garland until we can find 5 pitchers better than him. It is really that simple. And the fans need to lower their expectations since he is not getting paid to pitch like Curt Schilling out there. I swear I have not seen bigger maroons than the ones who want to dump Jon, without realizing we do not even have a 5th starter ANYWHERE in this organ-I-zation. Find me 5 pitchers better than Jon/Judy, and then we can dump him. Also, if that means though that we have to trade every big bat of ours to create $ space, then what is it worth?

I would love to have Elo as out 4th starter, forget 5th, given the crap we have other than Freddy Garcia Girlie, Count-less and Judy .... what a trio

He was one of my faves too.....actually I loved both Howry and Foulke. I still remember the "Foulke the Cubs" signs in one of the intra-city series :fthecubs

Cotts an all-star? Now I realize why I missed these boards But yeah, back to the topic, Foulke was one classy guy. Happy for him!!!! He definitely contributed a lot in shutting down the spankees in games 4-7

What is wrong with that idea? What do we lose? When you have a team that is extremely constrained by a $ cap, you have to get creative and a little lucky to win it all Look at how the Cards are doing with a bunch of players who were injured before (Carpenter) or sucked before in their pitching rotation

I am with you....I still believe.....I love how the last series is us against the Royals and the twinkies vs the Indians with the Yankees before that It may come down to that.....who knows?

He is definitely no worse than Girlie....err...Buerhle and he makes so much less than him so why not keep him until you can....once he reaches a point where he wants lots of money, let him go It is not like we have the next Pedro to replace Garland anywhere in our system If we cannot get a 5th starter, why worry about a 4th starter

If we want to win the division we have to be in first place by the time Aug is over. The Aug schedule is brutal for the Twinkies (Anahiem, Oakland, Yankees)....we better get ground right now by sweeping the darn Royals ....we better not lose even one game to those guys right now

Just got back from a vacation in DC where I just got a chance to check scores at night.....seems like we blew it at home getting swept by the twinkies Oh well....get better now Sox And now I hear Urlacher is out for a while....

I just got back from a wonderful vacation from DC (except for the return trip where we got stranded for 7 hrs on a flight at f***ing Waco Texas because of thunderstorms in Dallas, and had a sleepless night to get home thanks to American Airlines incompetency) and during my trip there, I obviously visited the Smithsonian Museums In the Museum of American History, they have a "Baseball and America" exhibit going on with very interesting stuff in there There was a very nice small sub section on Comiskey Park, before it was renovated to become the new Comiskey Park Thought I should share it with the rest of you...for anyone in DC or around it or going there for vacation, do try to get to the exhibit (it may get to Chicago too in some museum too or may have already been there)

So.....
