Neal Cotts
At the start of this season, in my opinion, I felt we only had one reliable guy in the bull pen (Marte) Shingo was an X factor, and in my mind he still is an X factor because I am not sure how he will do once he gets to face hitters who have played him at least 2 to 3 times around.... True to form, other than Shingo being awesome nothing is different from what was expected. I expectd Mike Jackson, Politte, Cotts, Adkins to be at >4.00 ERA and they are all there I expected Botch to be sent to the minors by now, and he is gawn.... I really think we have to get one stud and one solid reliever to truly contend

Esteban Loaiza
Clearly last year was the best he will ever pitch. I still like him but he has not been the same pitcher this year (league figured out his cutter? Or he has some small injury? Or he was just plain overachieving last year?) His current stats are respectable: GS 15 CG 2 (vs 1 last year.....so he is better here this year) ERA 4.18 (vs 2.90 last year.....clearly a drop off until now) BAA 0.260 WHIP 1.30 W-L 7-3 (vs 21-9 last year.....which is on the same track as last year) HR 16 (vs 17 all of last year....which means he is on track for 3 X worse this year) H 103 (vs 196 all of last year.....on track for being 275 for this year) But he is a career 97-85, 4.55 ERA pitcher (for 9 years now) How much do we pay him to retain him next year? Or do we go after a Matt Clement instead? Thoughts?

Attendance
Higher attendance is always good, but if it is happening because we are having more half off Mondays and $1 Tuesdays etc etc, then I doubt it really helps the payroll Also, remember we started the season above what we were supposed to be at with our payroll It was guaranteed we would be shedding off some of our salary over the off-season....none of it happened

Few Thoughts on today's game
I think you have to realize Brando, that Cleveland is the #1 offense right now, even better than the Yankees.....so it is not going to be easy against them Of course, once we get in the playoffs we have to get used to great O opposing us (Yanks, Bo Sox, Angels) and great pitching (Bo Sox, Yanks, As)

Some hitters think in a tied game with man on 3rd, the pitcher will throw strikes from the first pitch so they go after the first pitch

Oh great we will bunt for Val and then Paulie will be his useless self again popping it up going for the 8 run HR

OFFICIAL GAME THREAD 6/22
If they get a lefty in here, we better counter by sitting Val's ass for Jamie Burke (and let Uribe play SS, and then sit Jamie for a CF, and Willie to 2B) I better not see Val strike out against a lefty here, Ozzie

OFFICIAL GAME THREAD 6/22
Yes I agree with both of you, but to swing for the fences for the one pitch you are looking for is stupid And there were dumbasses who wanted to trade Frank for this overpaid, overhyped, slow tub of goo If Paulie can even be half as good as Frank in his career it will be news

OFFICIAL GAME THREAD 6/22
Paulie you piece of s*** :fyou This asshole was quoted yesterday on ESPN duriong the game by the announcers as saying he has now decided to swing for the fences and get impact plays instead of just putting the ball in play. As we can see, the douche bag misses RBI opportunities thanks to this. Frank was crucified for that approach by the paulie lovers....wonder where they are now? Twice in the game the f***er has not produced.....what an overpaid bum

McDonalds Sox Commercial
Considering Sub way came out with the Ozzie vs Baker sandwiches, Mcdonalds had to do something.....after all they are a Chicago company....of course not very smart to have been the first to stoke the rivalry in the fast food industry
