  1. Also, Rick Hahn still sucks. Harold Baines hitting his yearly words spoken quota in December.
  2. Where the f'hell did you write this supposed full package of players the Sox are receiving from the Phillies???????????????????????? How is that clear ????????? Nobody has been mentioned but Crawford. Don't say Bohm or something idiotic like that. Or taking back Castellanos for Benintendi. I'll save us both the trouble and put you on block. The first time I've had to do that in twenty years.
  3. We don't even know for a fact that he has more shares right now than JR and sons. Regardless of that, JR is the official control person unto he dies or 2029, whether anyone actually likes it or not. That JR made it so ambiguous for some fans is clearly on him.
  4. Why would you also need to include money AND Quero along with Robert for the likes of Crawford? That hardly makes sense. Benintendi, sure. But very few if any teams would bite on that one.
  5. Friedman has no reason to be desperate to make a bad signing even worse. He'll be perfectly fine as a high leverage reliever like he was with Miami and SD. Tanner's just not a closer for a high profile contender. It is what it is. Same thing happened to Devin Williams in NY. Fwiw Robert Suarez will be absolutely eviscerated in NY Boston Philly.
  6. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/free-agents/_/year/2026/position/c/level/mlb Can't open this site with or without VPN in China for some weird reason. There has to be someone AFTER Realmuto. Otherwise just take a veteran contract like Jeffers or Higashioka in trade for mostly payroll relief. Campusano (SD) could be had for a lot less than Quero because he's currently third on the depth chart and hasn't met expectations matching his earlier prospect status.
  7. Who is he replacing? Will Smith? Rushing? Just injury insurance/depth? Dodgers have already dumped a number of young catchers with higher profiles than Quero in the last 2-3 years.
  8. For a 120 game per year catcher. Jury is still out on Quero being a real difference maker on the offensive side. That's a huge risk for a contender to 1) completely trust a second year guy and 2) give up comparable (yet flawed) talent instead of simply acquire a FA veteran with just $$$.
  9. Why 39 picks were taken before Cooper DeJean was selected is one of life's great mysteries...seemed so obvious to at least select him in the 20s. He perhaps is one of those non track guys like a Jerry Rice (obviously no HoF track yet for Coop) that almost never got caught from behind as a punt or kick returner in game situations. Rice quite famously "only" timed 4.55-4.6 (at Miss Valley State.) Game speed/innate football instincts.
  10. Unless you believe 2025 Quero is his peak. Which would be HIGHLY disappointing to this particular rebuild's enthusiasts.
  11. The Dodgers have the most young outfield prospects in baseball and none of them are being traded for Quero...unfortunately.
  12. A LOT more than one. It's all over the place. If you think about selling high, well it's certainly unlikely to be Ohtani or Matsumoto. Blake Snell is just a left handed version of Cease with a long contract that very few teams could afford to take on. If they really believed in Rushing, they would trade W.Smith, but that's not happening either.
  13. How do you KNOW this with any degree of absolure certainty? He's their most volatile pitching asset based on that injury history. Sasaki's value is down, sure, and so is Rushing's. https://lastwordonsports.com/baseball/2025/12/03/dodgers-trade-tyler-glasnow-free-agent/ There's about 20 articles in the last week to Ten days specilating about a Glasnow trade.
  14. As long as Getz doesn't just make a trade mostly for the sake of doing something. Has to get back a starting pitcher, elite young pen arm/s or preferably an outfielder. 1B/DH as well. As long as the return actually improves the future prospects of "the next White Sox playoff team." Still not convinced about Lee.
  15. Same as White Sox. Waiting on that new stadium in 2029. Holding pattern in a division increasingly dominated by big money teams. And even the Orioles were kicking tires on Alonso and Schwarber.
  16. Robert Suarez now the biggest "name" closer remaining. "Diaz will slot into the ninth inning, pushing Scott to a setup role alongside Alex Vesia, Blake Treinen, Anthony Banda, Brock Stewart and Graterol. Will Klein, Ben Casparius and Jack Dreyer all had solid or better seasons in 2025, but if everyone is healthy — far from a given — there’s only room for one of that trio in the final bullpen spot. Of course, injuries will inevitably create opportunities for many of the Dodgers’ overqualified depth arms, and each of Klein, Casparius, Dreyer and Edgardo Henriquez have minor league options remaining." Dodgers can either trade Glasnow...one of a handful of young starters (Sasaki Sheehan Wrobleski Casparius and rehabbing River Ryan)...trade catcher D.Rushing or one of their four young outfield prospects. Or just simply buy a corner outfielder. Need to get much younger on the position player side. Andy Pages is their only true young starter there.
  17. Rays usually don't make significant mistakes when they move on from a player...except for misjudging Wander Franco's character.
  18. Must purge everyone connected to Hahn. Joking. Just appears to be another attempt at roster churning like an actively trading mutual fund manager at the end of a very mixed quarter. Have to be appearing to do at least SOMETHING if you're not going to sign anyone of significance. What would Branch Rickey do???
  19. https://www.si.com/mlb/rays/onsi/news/mlb-insider-reveals-why-rays-never-traded-pete-fairbanks-in-recent-years The counting numbers looked fine/good...but they apparently overvalued his worth on the trade market. Just not an elite guy, service able but not dominant peripherals. Essentially Matz just replaced him, providing more flexibility as a LH reliever/swingman. Lots of uncertainty about the health of that rotation too...especially Baz and McClanahan.
  20. Robert to replace Tatis is pretty laughable. They have Darvish Bogaerts Musgrove Machado and Cronenworth that are all "bad" or soon will start becoming bad contracts. That said, Miller Tatis Pivetta and Merrill are really the only players who are "valuable" to other teams atm...Jackson slightly less so after signing his early extension and falling off a bit from his rookie production.
  21. Treinen T.Scott and Kirby Yates were all closers at various points last year, but it ended up with Sasaki in the post season. Not sure if they are going to try to trade Glasnow and then let Sheehan, Wrobleski and Roki fight it out for the last spot. Henriquez has closer stuff as well. Still need to address LF or possibly trade one of their young outfield prospects and/or D.Rushing to acquire one. Or simply just buy one in FA...just don't think it would be Tucker at this point.
