Attorney Eric Holder is going to Ferguson on Wednesday. Apparently Obama's giving tonight and Tuesday night with the Missouri National Guard before he considers changing up the response and possibly making it a federal situation, although he clearly doesn't want to be viewed as taking one side or the other...and politics is already hard to separate from this whole situation with Jay Nixon feeling a tremendous amount of heat for his handling of events so far. Sounds like he is VERY leery of going there personally.

Same thing with former White Sox Carlos Torres against the Cubs today. At one point he got the gun entirely turned against his hip. And he shoves it away. And the gun goes off. Well, then Michael takes off and gets to be about 35 feet away. And, Darren’s first protocol is to pursue. So, he stands up and yells, “Freeze!” Michael and his friend turn around. And Michael taunts him… And then all the sudden he just started bum-rushing him. There's no way in hell they're going to pay DeAza $6 million as the 4th outfielder. If they're not serious about contending next season, you'll see DeAza starting in LF again next year.

Buehrle had an opportunity that offseason to go to the Nationals with a no trade clause, but was apparently swayed by Loria's supposed commitment to Miami. In an interview with Levine/Rozner on Hit & Run on Sunday morning, he seems to still be carrying a lot of bitterness towards Loria. He bought a house there in Miami, only to end up across the border in Canada without his family or beloved dogs. If he doesn't get back to the World Series, I'm sure that will sting quite a bit, knowing he could have been with a potential powerhouse team with a great bullpen at the end of his career.

They know his limitations defensively, on the basepaths and against LHP. If someone really wanted him, he would be gone by now. Not part of the future, and there's so many faults and limitations in his game that won't change or improve...just no way. Tyler Flowers is a totally different situation...whether to hold onto him or not.
