  1. QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:21 PM) wow...the indians announcers are basically laughing at our lineup I like the girl holding the "Grady Stole My Girlfriend" sign Grady could probably go up in the stands and it wouldn't matter the way the White Sox offense is going, like Satchel Paige or the King and His Court. I wonder if the White Sox would have any discernible reaction if Sabathia told all of the outfielders to stay on the bench in front of the blowdryers next inning?
  2. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:16 PM) I'm listening actually, like I have the entire year. And yes, I know we can't hit lefties, but is that any reason to give up on a team in the fourth f***ing inning? The game goes 9 innings and the Indians have an abysmal bullpen... it's not over yet. Their bullpen is much better than last year. Unlike the Sox, they don't have three blown saves already this season. Our bullpen looks a lot better on paper than in reality right now. Betancourt is always solid, Mastny has been a good find, Borowski has done what he's supposed to do...they're not bad. Cabrera was absolutely nasty against us the other day.
  3. QUOTE(SoxGovernment @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:16 PM) wow im listening to the indians broadcast and there was a commercial for tequila and it said "if you want to dance like a retard then drink tequila" isn't the political correctness sensor going off? if Tiger gets criticized for saying he's acting like a "spazz" out there...well, whatever
  4. QUOTE(zenryan @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:12 PM) Jose is a f***ing joke. when he pitches against a team that cant hit then he dominates. against teams that can hit, he pitches scared Last time I checked, the A's and the team he dominated last year (on the road, no less, in a critical series), namely the Tigers...after his injury even...if they played the way they're supposed to on defense, he would have 50-60 pitches and he wouldn't have to be careful with Sizemore or Hafner. This game feels a little bit like the Wednesday game against Oakland now. Whatever happens, we're pretty lucky to win one of three in CLE the way we're playing.
  5. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:11 PM) The the count from 04 has returned Well, I don't think any pitcher has watched 6 outs behind them blown in four innings and simply cruised through that game. One or two errors, sure, but three? In four innings?
  6. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:07 PM) Reading these posts would lead one to believe the score was 25-0 Indians. Guys, its 1-0. I know the offense hasn't looked good (well, I know they haven't sounded good), but the game is still incredibly early and we are down only one run. Just wait. If we get out of this inning unscathed, we might actually win the game. But we're in trouble now with Sizemore up there.
  7. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) 38-23 Bulls Crede just did something I was accusing BA of doing, lol.
  8. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:52 PM) Grinder boy at the plate I'M thinking Casey Blake Has to be Roberto Hernandez, just remembered.
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:50 PM) This is how the entire team hits. So singling out BA for a fault that everyone has on this team is silly. Does he have a problem with low and away, sure. But so does Crede, Konerko, Dye, and the rest of the no hit bunch. They are all swinging for the concourse right now. Its time for Papa Jack or someone outside of our organization to take our hitting instruction over. They need something from outside the system, someone who teaches line drive hitting and OBP. Not swinging at everything. Firing Greg and then promoting some other lift and pull specialist from the system isnt going to work. Dye, Crede and Konerko are all at their most dangerous when they're gong back up the middle and into RCF with line drives. Anderson almost NEVER does this...unless he overswings and cues it off the end of the bat to the right side accidentally.
  10. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:50 PM) lol pablo Did we draft Trot Nixon in 1989?
  11. QUOTE(beautox @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:41 PM) no worries, i wouldn't be supprised if they took a LHP because this draft is so deep, but they might also take Matt Wieters BA from April/May 2006 is back. Has he EVER taken an outside curveball, stayed with it and lined it over the 2B? Seriously. He tries to pull everything. You would think he would learn something from watching Rowand and Crede come through the system and have the same exact problems adjusting.
  12. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:39 PM) It is all lefthanders...Iguchi can't hit LHP. Uribe can't hit period. I'm starting to lean towards thinking Crede really isn't good hitter and just had 1 decent year. Dye looks old. Honestly, I think this is an old team and it's time to blow up significant portions of it. If they move Dye, Crede, and Buehrle for something decent and are willing to sign some FA position players the Sox could be good in 2008.... I agree. I started a long thread about it at SoxTalk last night..."what is KW planning to do"
  13. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:39 PM) f***ing sick play by Juan. Is Nixon slower than Dye, Molina and Konerko? WOW.
  14. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:36 PM) Thanks I forgot the Royals rotation besides Meche, what the F**K why is Erstad here I hated the signing when it happened and I really hate it now F**k F**K F************K Because Ozzie and Hawk wanted....and KW tried to trade Garland for him. Thanks Disney.
  15. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:32 PM) WHAT Sabathia, Lee Sowers, Santana, Rogers, Maroth, when he gets healthy again Liriano, I'm sure the royals have a lefty who will dominate us With our luck, it will be Tyler Lumsden, lol. Well, Jorge DeLaRosa, Scott Elarton (when back healthy) and Odalis Perez. We lost to the crafy Adam Bernero, Runelvys Hernandez and Luke Hudson, among others.
  16. QUOTE(zenryan @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:29 PM) I swear, why do I even bother watching this team against lefties? Well, with Konerko, Dye, Crede, Hall, Iguchi, Uribe, etc., we should be pretty decent. It's not all lefthanders...it's just that Sabathia and Santana are that good, especially against the Sox.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) Crede's swing there was the epitome of why we suck vs LHP. High outside pitch, and he gave himself no chance but to pull it in the air. Yes Welcome to Bataan Death March II: When the Sox Try to Pull Everything or Swing Out of Their A--es
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:23 PM) HE GAWN. Thank God. C'mon offense, 4 hit by pitches in a row? http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-e...p&type=lgns Brian Westbrook got paid his roster bonus TWICE. Reminds me of when KW trade for Berry and ended up with Barry accidentally in the Baldwin deal...not a highlight of his career.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:20 PM) Missed it, what happened? Crede had a double play ball he normally makes and it went off the tip of his glove into LCF as Uribe overran it going into the hole. Shortest double ever. Contreras looks like Charlie Hough out there right now.
  20. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:19 PM) NICE f***ING PLAY CREDE Man, the Sunday line-up hasn't even victimized us yet...and it's already close to being a turn off the tv and do something else afternoon.
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:16 PM) Had a bad feeling about Molina handling the forkball. It's almost like catching a knuckler. This team is just really bad right now. I agree with Hawk, I'm thrilled we have the record that we do. Contreras' fastball looks like Jermaine Dye's swing and speed in RF.
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:14 PM) Grady Sizemore bends us over again. These games are beyond depressing. Shouldn't we just walk him? I'm ALMOST being serious.
  23. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 12:11 PM) lol, CC f***ing knows he owns us. Anyone willing to wage their house on this one by taking the Sox? I'm not sure which is the most likely...an Erstad 4 for 4 with no pulls to 2B or a White Sox winner? Who has the most hits today, Donnie Garko or Sizemore?
  24. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 11:13 PM) Say, what happened the last time Freddy pitched in Houston? And to add to the fun, we have Brandon McCarthy also pitching today. Unfortunately, it's Sabathia for the Tribe. Well, everyone thought we would lose Monday in Oakland and look what happened... EDIT: Garcia's start (in Philly, not Houston) has been shelved...along with quite a few games today already
  25. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 08:08 AM) They hate good baseball in Oakland? The Marlins, A's and Twins are the biggest "negative" anomalies, the Cubs and Orioles the unexplainable. Of course, you could say the same for White Sox fans...I think Chicago show relocate to Missouri and call itself the 'Show Me' City in terms of getting out and supporting the White Sox. It took a World Series, and we'll see how long the honeymoon period lasts for JR and KW.
