  1. Tigers offense... no bueno without Greene and the Miguel Farewell Tour just like the last days of Konerko.
  2. At least the uniforms look good, there's that.
  3. Maton .165 average as middle of the order hitter is perfectly on brand for the Central.
  4. Cub fan Jeff Vuckovich Family stories. Lovely.
  5. Apparently nobody pays attention to advance scouting reports or MiLB video or those were cut out of the budget for Burger's iPitch machine.
  6. Should we start a thread crediting Hahn with not signing Baez and Story? Javy would be in the HoF if he only played against the Sox.
  7. I was shocked the Reds almost had a home sellout versus the Brewers. Were only 3 games out of first place entering the game. We're basically the Rockies or Royals at this point.
  8. CLE DET CHW all without hits yet tonight. 0/9 innings.
  9. Might be no hitters from both pitchers tonight.
  10. Do we have a female poster or two back again...? What happened to Lillian and her LH swing obsession?
  11. Trade him while he looks good against Central and not hurt. See Grandal or Lynn lol.
  12. Tigers lost best player Greene to fibula fracture (should join Sox someday) but Skubal and Manning are not far off on the outching front. Hence the Marisnik move. Will probably ask for Reyes back next.
  13. Good stuff 95-97 and gas been really good his last two AAA starts. Got crushed in April... something like 17 ER in his first 10 IP.
  14. They should sincerely hope so for a 1-1 pick.
  15. And puts "Jackie Robinson" and Josh Donaldson together in the same clubhouse.
  16. Simple...his contract will be $24 million next year and $25 million with a buyout in 2025. JR will order him excommunicated to cut payroll. Sunk cost like Grandal Kelly Bummer and Lynn. Just get anything back in cash relief or Tier B/C prosoects or a combination thereof. 3B has a number of other possibilities like Romy, Sosa, Popeye, Brayan Ramos and Montgomery in the system. Arguably the deepest if Montgomery fails to stay at SS long term.
  17. It would probably be the Guardians or Tigers lol. Although a very similar player in Rooker will be put on the market by the A's. As one of the few players fans genuinely seem to like and want to cheer for...this seems like a bad idea just based on the fact that the only thing representing the "next wave" are Montgomery Colas and Romy, who is already quite old as a prospect as well. That said, there are always a million guys like Marisnik, Aaron Hicks, Victor Reyes, M.Carpenter, Nelson Cruz and Odor floating around almost for nothing. So that acquiring team would like have to be 100% buying into him raising his defense at third to pay anything remotely resembling a premium in trade. Undoubtedly Ron Washington involvement again...since we don't seem to have an OF coach and Getz is too busy future GMing to assist Burgatron.
  18. Jake Marisnik Revenge Series Already helped win one game for the Tigers this week. Would be classic Hahn if he goes on a hot streak to push the Sox further and further back in the AL Central.
  19. The exact opposite of what a rebuilding team should be doing. Unless they alteady know 100% for sure Montgomery is much more likely to end up at third base. Even then, Burger has a 1B/DH role as they move on from Moncada and Jimenez.
  20. Since then, Shannon Sharpe liked another tweet that contains a frontal assault on Skip Bayless. Sharpe has clicked the little heart on this tweet from Dan Clark, a baseball writer with more than 50,000 followers: “Shannon Sharpe has outgrown Skip Bayless. He is far superior. He has a wonderfully bright future ahead. Bayless, meanwhile, won’t find another partner. His career will nosedive because he is a piece of s%*#.”
  21. During the WBC playing for Team Cuba is the answer there to the smile question... or first week or two of the season before he got hurt yet again.
  22. Bump Honestly, should be pinned to the top of the board until/unless Sox at least reach 5 games under .500, unlikely as that currently seems.
