these past 3 seasons have had Sox fans in a mood like no other.I've never seen so much negativity,arguments,death,carnage and a feeding frenzy of Sox fan vs Sox fan.Sox message boards are not for the weak or faint of heart.It has gotten old.But after following the Sox since '70,if I've learned one thing,it's the old Biblical quote that should serve all-"This too shall pass". We've survived numerous GM's,numerous bad managers,numerous busted phenoms,3 different owners,rumors of the team moving,2 stadiums,ballplayers coming and going,and numerous bragging of World Series tickets being printed by mentally challenged cub fans. But,all in all,I wouldn't trade our experiences for the world.We all just want to add that one more experience of being fans of a Championship team.It may or may not happen in our lifetime.The odds aren't looking to good right now. But remember this-being a pessimistic Sox fan beats all hell outta being an optimistic cub fan anyday.Remember-it can always be worse. I think (hope, wish, desire) that some persons came to respect me because (I think, hope, wish) they sensed I always tried - TRIED I say - to be fair and I was not afraid to admit that I had misjudged or to say that I was sorry for taking an undeserved action. And I tried to pay a lot of attention to what was going on. Some people liked that and some didn't. That's just how it shakes out. I did what I thought was right. actually-he explained the problems he had with the team and that they stemmed mostly from young kids who thought they were already MLB material,and who liked to show up 15 minutes before game time.He said that his old school ways didn't go over too well with some of the young "stars".Now,how he'd be able to handle MLB prima donnas at this level is uncertain-I just liked hearing a guy with some fire in his belly and who'd kick some butt.If we're looking for the antithesis of JM-he'd be one surefire candidate.My only hesitation would be his lack of experience at managing in the show. But just as Fisks' name comes up,for guys we'd love seeing kick some Sox butt into shape,you'd have to add Kittle's too.......... K-Y

While I agree that JM is an idiot-I don't think there was much he could do.In his postgame statement he stated that Colon in the 9th is better than anyone he could bring in-I happen to agree.Had he brought in Koch or Marte and had they blown the game-we woulda crucified Manuel for taking Colon out.It was a no-win situation.A good pitcher got beat by a better team.It happens. let me try and take both sides of the argument here.I've never viewed Frank as a whiner,though a lot of other people who are predispositioned to dislike him anyway,say he does.I don't think Frank deserves the title.But having seen the quote by Paulie-I don't think he's whining either.The guy is as frustrated as we are and can't fix it if he ain't playing. Both guys are competitors-much to their credit.I just think that the press is constantly looking for stories where there aren't necessarily any.I just take Paulie's response as it is and there's no reason to read anything into it.He said what he said-it's not a Frank vs Paulie thing.It's ok to like both guys.Let's hope they both can play up to their potential and forget either one ever struggled. That's always been my favorite.Somehow,it's always our fault.You'd almost get hte impression that JR doesn't like us. The new one is how getting out of town for a couple weeks will do the team good-get away from the media and the pressure. he wouldn't get suspended-it happens all the time.Just one of the tricks of the trade.How is the ump gonna know,if the ball tips his glove,that it wasn't an accident.Just one of the tools in a catchers arsenal. But that had to be the worst ball-strike umpiring I've seen in a long time.The call on Maggs was chest high,he was calling strikes at shoe top level by the eighth and ninth.The guy was all over the place.Some pitches were right there-and nothing.You could see it was driving Wright nuts........
