  1. Man, I f***ing hate that too. I was late to work yesturday by 3 minutes b/c I had to wait at a light to turn left for 6 minutes b/c two of they people at the front when they arrow turned green were slow as hell to get going.
  2. You may not be happy about what happened, but does that happen very often? From what I've heard and seen about Chicago drivers, they're very good. If you lived in Memphis, TN, like I do, then you'd probably deal with this type of thing every day. The drivers here are by far the worst I've ever seen. A perfect example of this will be told in the next couple of sentences. I got in an accident about a month ago. I was driving down a major road in Memphis that has 3 lanes on both sides of the middle dividing line, but there's no median or middle lane that seperates them. So, I was in the far left lane heading East, and wanted to turn left in Starbucks. So, I eventually get to a stop and am waiting to turn left, meanwhile holding up traffic in the left lane b/c it's rushhour and almost impossible to turn. Finally, there's an opening so I started to turn when I clipped some asshole that tried to pass me on the left (in a lane that belongs to oncoming traffic). So then, I pull in the Starbucks, and look at the front end of my car. It's fine except for a couple of dents. The guy I hit drives back, and his friend in the passenger seat gets out of the car and starts b****ing at me about how I hit his car, and how it's gonna cost so much money to fix his car, and all that s***. However, I was lucky b/c I had about 10 witnesses from either inside Starbucks that saw the crash or that were behind me in the left lane, so a couple stayed to talk to the cops for me when they came, so none of it was my fault. What really got me is how the guy that was b****ing at me about how I messed up his car and stuff started to say that the witnesses were coming to my side b/c he was black and I was white. Man, I hate it when people try to make race an issue like that. Also, the cops were saying how much they wish they could have been there when the guy got out of the car and started using profanities with little kids around (when the guy was asked by one mom w/ what was probably her 7 or 8 year old to please stop cussing, he said, "shut the f*** up b****, I'll say what I wanna say!") b/c they woulda charged them for disorderly conduct too. To top it off, the guys eventually left before the cops got there, so they when or if they were caught, they were gonna get a ticket and taken to Juvi b/c they "hit and ran". Anway, I just realized how long this is, and if it's hard to understand what exactly happened with my accident, then sorry, but I tried my best to explain it.
  3. That's what I was thinking. Our Sox have a much better chance to make the playoffs every year since we're always around or above .500. Plus, an added round of 3 games series would not take nearly as long as the NBA playoffs, which have 7 games series for every round. It would add maybe another week or so, which I could easily deal with.
  4. I'll guess that it gets up to 17 pages b/c after about 8 or 9 pages, the topic of conversation will be dramatically changed to something way off topic.
  5. Mark Wahlberg pitches for the Sox? Seriously, though, let's go Sox, and get Buehrle that 10th win!
  6. I hope that's what was said for Prior's sake. Btw, Dusty has got to be the most overated manager in baseball. He's gets so much credit for his teams doing well, but he overworks his pitching staffs, which f***s him and his team in the long run, and it looks like thats what's happening now.
  7. More on Swisher, from Baseball America: If he does turn out to be a Kotsay type, I'd definitely take that. Kotsay is a very solid player (career .285 avg.) and is a 7-year major leaguer that's only 28 years old, so if that what Oakland's gonna get from Swisher, I'd be pretty happy if I were them.

I don't get the whole "sliders" thing. I've always just played on how the computer has it set. Where exactly do I go to change the "sliders"? I have PS2, btw.
  9. That's who I thought about when I saw this. I really like his new song, "Welcome Back!"
  10. Cardinal is worth the money. It's really not that much considering what other guys are getting that didn't even have as good of years as Cardinal last year. He's a great team player, and with all the above average players on Memphis, they need a guy like him that's o.k. with coming off the bench, keeps you in games, and plays hard, which makes everyone else want to do the same.
  11. That really sucks about Prior. I hope it's not too serious.
  12. Man, this guy should just give it up. He's way too old for rookie league, and so far he's not really doing too well. Oh, and congrats to A-Gon on the call-up to AA even if it was b/c Reyes got injured. Hopefully, he tear it up and they won't have to send him down when Reyes is healthy.
  13. Yes, it is. I've tried many times to find pics of minor leaguers on the internet, but it's hard to. Most of the time, when you do find pics, they're not new ones, but from the year or two before, which is good, but not as good as if they're recent.
  14. Ian Stewart is one of my favorite prospects that doesn't play for the Sox. I remember the Sox being listed as a team interested in him before the draft, but he was taken about 5 spots before we drafted. He started out kinda slow this year, but since mid-May has been absolutely tearing it up.
  15. Hell ya, he has been! He's raised his BA like 30 points in just over the last month or so. I love Schnur; he's always been one of my favorite prospects since we drafted him. I was listening to the draft online when we drafted him, and my brother and I thought he had a cool last name, so we immediately both liked him.
  16. That'd be badass. Imo, its gotta have Anderson, Sweeney, and Bmac in it for sure. That is, if y'all could find good pictures of them that would fit w/ what you want the banner to look like.
  17. I love that the Sox really contribute to the community a lot! Props to the Sox!
  18. Could you make different boards have different colors? Like, the Palehose forum and maybe the Future Sox forum could be black and grey, w/ the others being like they used to be.
  19. Yeah, Houston really wants to keep Berkman. He's a huge fan favorite. It seems like every Houston fan loves Lance.
  20. yeah, it kind of is. I too like what we had before, but I'll go along w/ whatever so most everyone seems to like it.
  21. Once again, another great article, Dan! Keep up the good work... I love seeing Haigwood and Rodriguez on there! Hopefully, many more apperances from these guys will be on the "Top 10 Performances of the Week" list.
