Yeah, I'm can't wait to play w/ Ole Miss b/c my high school's star football player from last year plays DT for them. Also, one of my brothers good friends that he played football with played for Duke, and still would but sadly, he died in a car crash about 3 weeks ago; But, he's the starting DE for Duke in the game, so it's kinda wierd to see that, knowing that he's not here anymore.

Yeah, it's happened twice, why not a third time?

Hankins has really been raking it in Charlotte. He had a slow start to the season, but has now really turned it on. I hope he gets a realistic shot in spring training next year, after he'll have plenty of time to work on blocking balls, etc. He needs a little fine tuning on some aspect of the defensive side of the catcher position, so I doubt he'll get called up to catch this year.

I just got back from work, and saw that we made the trade. I think it's a good deal for the Sox. I think Maj will have a successful career in the majors as a reliever, however, to get something you have to give something. So, good trade, Sox!

I wish I could be optimistic about Este's start tomorrow, but I can't be until he shows me that he's not gonna give up 6 runs in 6 IP or something like that. I don't expect him to return to last year's form, most of us don't, but I do expect him to be a very good #3 starter, not a #5 starter like he's looked like at times. Go Sox, let's kick some ass tomorrow!

I don't want Carl, but Cattalanato (sp?) is a player I wouldn't mind in our #2 spot. He's a very solid hitter, and can play multiple positions.

Y'all can't f***in do this to me. I just went out and bought the game b/c how awesome all these people on here said it was, and now y'all are saying it's really not that great. I hope I didn't waste $49.99 on a game that's not that good. However, after playing it for the first time, I'm not sure what to think yet. For some reason, I don't feel that the graphics are as good as last years game, or maybe it's that the screen is further back from the play, which makes the players seem smaller, I'm not sure. I like the new features, I just wish they would have added them to the exact game from last year. All that being said, I still really like the game, however, I don't know if it was worth $50. Here's how I did in my first game, playing 3 minute quarters on JV difficulty. I was Illinois and beat Northwestern, 28-0. My offense had 211 total yards. Beutjer was 7-10 for 198 and 2 TD's, 0 Int's. It was my defense, though, that was awesome. The computer had (-2) yards of total offense. Their QB was 1-14 for 15 yards passing, with the only completion coming with 49 seconds left in the game. I played man-to-man coverage almost the whole game. My D also had 6 sacks. I didn't change any sliders; I just played it how it was.

It's great to see Haigwood gettin some exposure now that Bmac's not the main attraction in Winston-Salem!

LaMura has been just awesome on relief for Bham this year. He pitched another scoreless inning of relief tonight, lowering his era to 0.84. I guess he's found his role. Schnur had another hit, extending his hit streak. It sucks to see Bound go 0-4, dropping his avg. to 267 after being above .280 a couple weeks ago after a hot streak he had. Also, great game by Whisler! It's great to see him doing well. Hopefully, more starts like this are to come. Lopez continues to hit for W-S; his avg. is at .285 now. Way to go Bmac on the great start! And, Pollok got his Carolina league-leading 19th save of the year. Baj and/or Smith really need to get promoted to Charlotte so Pollok can become the closer for Bham. He's shown he can close a game in high-A, so why not give a chance at AA? Lastly, screw Becker/Sasser, and get Rogo called up to Birmingham pronto, or else I'll level Toronto.

Lets hope it's the former of those.
