  1. i dont like that attitude either HSC.. but thats their right... that was funny about them hiding behind us old geezers..lmao..i was cracking up reading that hsc and i are ready to defend the western suburbs
  2. as always...saddam's insane saddam saying bush is guilty of crimes against humanity
  3. ive done my 7 years and since i just had surgery on my neck so if they ever needed me its definately then end of the US as we know it i have until august of this year until my eligability runs out..by then if im heathly(and my divorce would have had to go through) ill go...ill go through basic all over again at 41 and be willing to go where ever my country needed me... after being laid off now it would be a good career move...13 more years i could retire
  4. well , everyone seems to have their conspiracy theories...the official position at the white house as far as i understand it is two fold...first...the whitehouse believes saddam has WOMD in the form of bio and chemical weapons...they have not turned them over to weapons inspectors nor showed any proof they were destroyed...they whitehouse also says they have intelligence that says sadam has been training al-qaeda forces in the use of these type weapons as well as document forgery...this brings them under the war on terror because there is a belief that if they get the chance they will use these weapons through terrorist groups.. they also have to goal to remove saddam for massive human right violations against neighbors and his own people..with the idea of installing a more democratic form of government... the US is using UN resolutions 677,678 and 1441 as authority to prosecute this war...1441 being the big one which states if saddam doent fully disclose his weapon and destroy them immediately iraq will suffer severe consequences... thats how i interpet the white house's position..im sure others will disagree
  5. i notice jamie burke played some 3rd base...thats 3 positions he has played this spring...that last spot is really gonna be a dog fight..going into ST i think it was a given it would go to harris but both miles and burke have played their way into it while harris has played his way back to charlotte
  6. nice sig baggs. lol when i saw you were posting directly under me that was exactly what i thought you were going to say
  7. good move...there is plenty of time for rauch in the future
  8. whitehouse is saying that the bombing hasnt officially started but they said they got some "targets of opportunity" in the form of high ranking iraqi officials...they had to use stealth fighters and they only want to use those under the cover of darkness...they also fired cruise missiles (double digits is what the are saying as far as numbers) from more than one navel ship... for the last 3 1/2 weeks we have been tracking 5 high ranking iraqi leaders including saddam and his sons..whitehouse says the target was one of these 5..the opportunity came at the last minute so they decided to take the shot....no confirmation if the target was saddam..the whitehouse also said they would not rule out more of these types of attacks before the campaign of "shock and awe" start
  9. great job jim..so you said they giving miles a real shot...if you had to make a guess right now would he make the 25 man roster???

  12. That it is, i dont think we would be able to afford it if we signed tejada.... plus if we have any chance of signing colon long term we cant go after tejada too..JR is probably sweating already that god forbid this team is successful and he has to keep it together he is probably looking at a 70 million dollar payroll
  13. Korea, too. Although the UN doesn't officially recognize that as a war; it's still just a police action. Yes, Iraq in '91 and Korea in '50.... and neither war is resolved yet. Let's just keep the damn UN out of it and go do it right this time. And don't come back that Korea was not a war, but a police action... my father is a Korean War vet and it was, when you were on the battlefield, a war in every sense of the word. actually the UN mandate killed any chance of removing saddam..it only gaver authority to push the iraqi army back to its borders..had we gone after saddam other countries would have started pulling their armies out of there and it would haver been a logistical nightmare... the un does good things in regaurd to humanitarian efforts...but when war is needed stay the hell away from there
  14. can you guys give more info on this...has there been problems with drilling and removing the oil safely in the past???..seems like if your economy is suffering and you could do this w/o harming the enviorment it would be a good thing..so where am i wrong???
  15. youre out on an island on this one
  16. bud got this one right..well as the old saying goes , even a broken clock is right twice a day
  17. i think the threat of americans to boycott french products have them a little scared..people are canceling vacations to france this summer right and left..they are worried about it since there economy isnt exactly prospering right now.. this site gives a list of all french companies with products to boycott..you be surprised at how many american companies france has their hands in.. www.metrospy.com if that doesnt work try this www. frogweenies.com im not sure exactly how accurate this site is for other things..they seem pretty radical..but it does give the list for those interested..and you can get this neat sig there
  18. if you read this nuke..we are all behind you guys 100%..you guys are in our prayers...good luck also keep a special prayer for cwsox son and for a guy that used to post here but hasnt in a while..he has two sons and i believe both were headed to the middle east last i heard..sat 46
  19. the strongest source of support or fact on iraq's WOMD that i can find comes from indiana senator evan byah....senator byah is a democrat......he was on the oreilly factor last night...he sits o nthe committee that sees all the intel we have on iraq...bill asked him after seeing all that intel how sure was he that iraq had WOMD...he said he would "bet his life" on it...he also said he felt the president took all the proper steps diplomatically and he believes that france had ulterior motives and never int ended top let any resolution of war pass...orielly asked him if he was going to boycott french products and he said..well im not going out to buy an french wine anytime soon .. this is a democrat senator who ha seen intel o nthe situation there than none of us are privy to and has crossed over with 100% support of president bush...to me that carries alot weight because its not a republican saying that i commend you for going to the anti war protests and asking questions and forming your own answers...even if in the end you happen not to agree with me...youre trying to think on your own instead of just following the masses..in the end you might end up agreeing the masses are correct..but you are not blindly buying into it because some professor or your friends say its the right thing to do...good job
  20. i gotta feel sorry for the few frenchman tha have a backbone and disagree with chirac and his actions...it must suck to be the butt of all these jokes when you dont even agree with your country's position with that said...remember...i dont think there is a lady schick in the entire country...so that would unshowered hairy french women
