after watching clayton the first month he was here..i was scratching my head going why the hell didnt we just go with delaero if we wanted a no hit - great glove SS??? jason hit a little better last year , right??...maybe he will finally get it this year..what nus if he hit like 290 at charlotte this year..with jose leaving next year he's got one more shot to get his chance...

basically we are calling up 5 prospects this year..plus we got rid of valentine for two guys that arnt nearly as rated as high as him....we have no catching propect at all in the sytem now..our SS and CF prospects arnt due until '06 at the earliest...overll our outfield prospects dont look to strong once joe arrives... pitching still looks pretty deep and is the strongest part of the system...but it is thinning as each year goes on... last year we were about 15 , right??...this year after losing alot of prospects to call ups and valentine to a trade dropping 7 spots is about right...time to reload the system with a good draft this year.... also KW shouldnt trade away players at the deadline (especially trades like durham for adkins)he thinks he cant resign..let them go and take the sandwich pick..thats how billy beane operates on a budget like our or less and still keeps oakland very competitive...he gets 2 or 3 first round or sandwich picks every year...that pays off after awhile...

I feel rather dumb here...but what is the Charlie Lau theory? charlie lau theory...biggest proponent ws george brett...his theory on hitting was to be way off the plate and dive into the ball...guys who hit this way usually held the bat parallel to the ground..alot of them actually rested it on their shoulder (remember in little league , "hey get that bat off your shoulder"..lol)...alot of opposite field hitting...his idea of a home run was it was a mistake...he created alot of doubles and triples hitters..good contact hitters..guys hitting the ball into the gap....if you look at george brett's stats they are perfect for the charlie lau theory of hitting...40 doubles . 10 triples about 15 to 20 homers.. if you go to baseball reference .com yopu can look at each teams stats from every year..you can see how all the royals hitters of that era were doubles and triples hitters..cant argue with the success the royals had i nthe mid to late 70's

You just have to handle them properly. I've been to France before and NEVER spoke a word of French. They tried to get me to speak French, but surrendered in the end, speaking English to appease me! he believes in the charlie lau theory of hitting...worked great in KC for charlie but i think it fell out of favor when big bucks for home run hitters took over free agency

I doubt it..... especially if the White Sox are contending this year. Couple that with the fact that KW has expressed his desire to make CLee the DH once he can get rid of Frank (make no mistake..... KW wants Frank OUT of Chicago's SS) and I just don't see the Sox getting rid of CLee anytime soon..... or as long as KW is the GM. Thomas is Reinsdorf boy.....Reinsdorf has a bit more power than Williams. From this, I have concluded that Lee will be out of the south side before Big Frank.....or so I hope. Exactly. I would much rather see Lee go than Thomas. Most people would pick Thomas over Lee in a battle for a DH spot. Also, the whole Reinsdorf situation, he would get rid of Lee before he got rid of Frank. DH isnt as easy as it seems..especially with carlos lee's umm lack of attention span ,for lack of a better term, i could see carlos being back in the clubhouse when he was suppose to be at the plate....there is no guarentee carlos will make a good DH...id almost bet against it...
