    Hey Baggio!

my answer to the question of the michigan admission policy, and you can look this up in our other conversation a few days ago..was to admit everyone under the same standard..then check to see how diverse it was..if it didnt meet the divisity standards then whatever number of minorities were needed to make it diverse enough would be added...im sure a school as big as michigan would be able to handle the extra students... now if michigan adopted my addmision policy do you think any of those men would disagree with it???.. i dont think so..why you seem to think im against diversity i dont know..because i didnt agree with how michigan ran their policies doesnt mean im against diversity...or in today's politcal climate maybe it does...seems like no one is allowed a dissenting opinion anymore w/o getting labled something or another... and if i did run into schwartzkopf and for some ungodly reason he was actually interested in my POV on this subject...id tell him that i disagree with his POV i think i have a better way of doing it where no one gets left out...tell him what i just told you and hopefully he would be open enouigh to see what im saying...
  2. that statement to me represents the quandry the democrats / liberals are in trying to oppose this war...if you are correct and saddam has the weapons hidden from inspectors then he is in violation of every UN mandate against him...and by the UN's own rules if iraq doesnt comply it will lead to him being forcefully removed....so the first bio/chem weapon launched by iraq vindicates bush and proves that if we waited any longer to take him out things would only be worse as he would have had more time develop more weapons and better ways to deliver them...first bio /chem weapon lauched brings every UN nation on board.. now if iraq doesnt have these weapons and they are as disorganized as they were the last time then the war ends in a week with the removal of saddam and nobody cares that iraq didnt have any weapons of mass destruction because the evil dictator that killed hundreds of thousands of his own people is now either dead or out of power... either way..its a win/win for the US..
  3. after you do..make sure you get your christmas present ok???..its still sitting here all wrapped up:)
  4. And you'll see thousands of civilians and U.S. military being slaughtered which will create a whole new generation of terrorists ripe for Osama's war against the West. ::hums:: It's beginning to look a lot like 1984. Endless, endless war. thousands of US militry being slaughtered???....oh come on...this is the same friggen army that was surrending to CNN a little over 10 years ago..under the same dictator..you think over the past 10 years these same soldiers have now fallen in love with saddam and will fight to the death for him??? and do you think we are just gonna walk into iraq with foot soldiers w/o bombing the bejesus out of them first???...why do you think we are droping millions of leaflets right now thats telling the iraqi people to stay away from any military installations or any civilian buildings housing military hardware???..by the time we are done bombing them you and i alone could walk into iraq and take over...give our military a little more credit will ya.. this war is a slam dunk..we already have all the logistics covered by having troops in saudi..this is something we didnt have the first time and had to set up....so we already ahead of the game..also iraq is a desert..perfect terrian for us to fight a war from the air...they cant hide like in a jungle...easy to cut off supplies to the iraqi front line troops...this was is gonna be so easy
  5. the reason hockey isnt popular is in 75% of the country it doesnt get cold enough for ice...even here in chicago...try signing your kid up for ice hockey...500 bucks later youre getting up at 3 in the moring to get to the rink because the only time your team can practice is from 330 to 430 AM...it doesnt work very well in the lower 48
  6. thats the same stuff we use on our own people to control crowds that are about to riot...lol..im sure the iraqi people will get over it once saddam is removed from power...youll see ameican flags being waved in the streets

    France

guys , trust me on this....the last thing you want is for france to jump on board and get involved with this operration and take the chance on them sending military to iraq and our american boys having to share a fox hole with them...id rather go to war w/o the UN resolution thanks to france then to have them screw everything up.. i spent 4 years in heidelburg germany at nato headquarters...i saw how the french operate..i even trained with them on two different occassions..w/o a doubt this is the most undicsiplined ,unmotivated army by far in NATO...they suck bigtime...if i had to share a fox hole with a french soldier id just save myself the time and aggrevation and shoot myself in the head... ive thrown the term pussy around alot when talking about this war..but believe me..im not exaggerating here..look up pussies in the dictionary and it shows a picture of the french army... didnt these dumbasses lose a war to greenpeace?? i remember watching letterman last week where he said the french are demanding for more proof more proof...the last time the french wanted more proof it showed up rolling down the streets of paris in the way of tanks draped in nazi flags thats the french..pussies till the end... btw..these are the same losers that were screaming for the US to come over and rid them of the evil dictator in their own back yard back in '99..both them and germany were leading the chant for the US to bomb the hell out of kosovo..again...bunch of pussies
  8. besides guys..the biggest white sox scapegoat will always be the Dibber
  9. gotta let us know what that knuckle curve looks like
  10. hmmmmm least prepared mentally...... so now we all reside inside of miguels head do we...........im tellin ya right now.. if miguel isnt doing fine by the all star game ill give you my seats for each days festivities......ok......now stop with the worry and dissing and leave my boy alone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is the least experienced of the 9 starters..no one shows up to play catcher and knows the strength and weaknesses of every major league batter he is gonna face...even buehrle questioned on ESPN radio how well he and miguel would work together...it takes time to develop a catcher..even if that catcher is the next johnny bench...just not a good year for miguel to be thrown to the wolves...why he wasnt brought up in july of last year when the season was toast is beyond my comprehension all star seats??..nah you keep um..your earned them
  11. hsc..if he pitches well at winston-salem he will be at birmingham when you go down there in august
  12. what are you guys looking at??? ..everyone is blur when i open it up
  13. danny wright has a better chance of developing into a cy young award winner...will he???. i doubt it...i mean any starting pitcher in the majors could develop into a cy young award winner...but how many actually do???..unles youre in pedro's class there are so many things that have to go right to win a cy young... but if i had to bet on which pitcher goes farther id take wright..cant go with the surfer boy
  14. i love it when we start a clayton debte you do?? uh huh! !
  15. he is back on 2nd in san fran id go with kent , vidro , alomar ,durham , soriano , not i nany particular order feel like im forgetting an obvious choice here..oh year junior spivey durham fits in that group somewhere...and of course if you talking to cub fans - bobby hill
  16. im not all familiar with your situation so please forgive me if this sounds ignorant but would it possible to look at a career change???..if youre having that much of a problem in your chosen field right now maybe its something to look at..it could be just a temporary change until things get better.. i remember reading in an employment magazine that to find the perfect job you should plan on it being a 2 year ordeal..along the way youll have to take maybe more than a few jobs you feel are beneath your skill level to survive...but in the long run when you find that job its well worth it..so dont give up... ill soon be joining you in the hunt for a new job...im laid off as of march 20th..im off work right recovering from neck surgery and i wont be able to go back to anything i did in the past..ill have to have some kind of job training or finally finish getting my degree...hopefully my settlement will cover the cost of either...kind of scary right now...should be an interesting year or two man reading your post i just thought of something..ill be in my 40's ,having to retrain so ill have no experience in my new field, coming off a workman's comp claim...maybe i should consider joining the clergy cause god's the only that can help me now well...you should feel better after reading my post.
  17. actually he was anything but solid in '01....4.80 era and 8 blown saves...if he pitches like that for us he will be out of a job faster than foulke was..
  18. If this stuff is as "deadly" as you're saying, then the people taking it have to be responsible and either stop taking it, or deal with the consequences of taking it. Early on, this was not possible because it wasn't as obvious that it's dangerous (and I don't know if it is or not, nor do we know if he was even taking the stuff, but I'm saying it is and that he did for the sake of this discussion). But now there is awareness, and people need to take notice of it. The person I feel bad for is his wife and yet-born child. He was a 23 year old guy -- plenty old to be able to make the right decision. It's unfortunate that he had to take something to make him lose weight -- a little discipline is all a person needs to stay in good shape (unless they "have a thyroid problem"). I take it usually an hour before hockey.......because It gives me an energy boost........but now I am seriously thinking about stopping... murc...cmon man..stop taking that crap now..i mean..are you even getting paid to play hockey???...if you are it cant be much, right??...is it worth the risk???..plus after reading this if you take it again youll probably be so worried about it on the ice that your game will suffer more then if you didnt take it
  19. He goes where ever he is going to go anyway after we don't resign him for the contract range that he will be in - I suggest we trade him now because after he makes 35-36 more errors at short and if he hits what he hit last year (less than Clayton and you can look it up) and given his age and contract range, he will have no trade value. We might get something for him now. ill put the over under on jose errors this year at 24...i bet you he doesnt make more than 24 errors this year from an earlier post in this thread...you would be screaming to trade ray durham now????...lofton yes but durham???...i rate ray as one of the top 5 2nd baseman in baseball right now...why trade him??
  20. the only problem with olivo is he is the least prepared mentally on the team at the most important position mentally..if we didnt have colon and were slated for another 500 season it would be a great opportunity to break in olivo and let him gain that knowledge through the mistakes he makes trading MJ could really haunt us..i would love a lefty -right combo of johnson -olivo...wtf was KW thinking trading away our only experienced catcher when the best he could do to replace him was a well over the hill sandy alomar???...was getting billy koch that important???..i dont think so... another thing trading MJ did was imcrease the pressure on olivo...dont think he doesnt realize that if he fails our catching hopes ride on a guy that for all practical purposes should have retired by now...with johnson behind olivo he would have alot less pressure on him
