here are both glaus and konerko's 162 game averages glaus...33D..35Homers...101rbi..10/14 in sb's...253 avg..359 obp..854 ops pauli....32D..27Homers.....99rbi..1/0 in sb's.......287 avg..348 obp..831 ops pretty similiar numbers...glaus hits more homers..konerko a lot more singles...glaus being a 3rd baseman helps in his status but the fact is if we traded paulie for him glaus would have to play first anyways...glaus' numbers are a little better but last year glaus tailed off while each of the last 3 years konerko has shown improvement... for those in favor of this trade the big thing is glaus has hit close to 50 homers before...they are banking on him doing that again...interesting idea..not sure what id do

franks seems to be a guy whose feelings run close to the surface...best thing we fans can do is cheer him all year and let him know he is really wanted here..combine that with a sucessful post seson and big numbers by frank and both sides will do what CW suggests and get something worked out...it would be so cool to see frank retire in a white sox uniform

whatever line up we use i really dont care as long as jose is on SS and batting 2nd....for whatever reason when thats the case this teams energy level seems to be taken up a notch..jose really sparks the team out of the 2 spot and SS....plus its not like jose is a poor number 2 hitter...he can bunt and situational hit with the best in baseball

You can't promise a guy something or even say you intend to do something specific like that. What if Rauch is 1-2 with a 4.95 ERA in AAA? Do they feel pressured to bring him up at a certain point because of a "promise made"? I agree. If nothing else, they need to be dependable. Valentin has those "harmless" errors people keep talking about, then you have 3 untested players. I guess if you're not a N.Y. team, you're always going to have some question marks though. The talent is there, though, and we'll have enough games against the mighty Royals, Tigers, and Indians that we should still be able to win plenty in spite of any poor execution due to inexperience. what makes valentin's errors 'harmless' is the fact that sometime during the game he will probably make a play or 2 that maybe only 3 or 4 other SS in the game will make to make up for it....his combination of range and arm strength are a huge asset and outwieghs his carelessness with errors..

we need balance in our line up...9 right handed bats against a left handed pitcher sounds great in theory but what tends to happen is the pitcher never has to pitch both sides of the plate..he gets locked in on one corner or the other and starts to hit those spots easily...you need 2 lefty bats in your line up that can handle left handed pitching....thats why a left -right - left -right line up is ideal..each at bat the pitcher has to switch sides and it tends to lead to mistakes

speaking of ST..why the hell are we in arizona??...our summer weather mimicks florida in march with both being at sea level and the humidity then pitching in arizona at a higher altitude adn in very dry air...if curve balls break alot ore here then they do in arizona doesnt it make it hard for the manager to tell who will be successful in chicago???
