listen closely to what bin laden had to say today...he is practically begging the fundementalist muslims inside iraq that hate saddam to realize that eventhough they want saddam out its more important to side with him now and defeat america....he said something about eventhough saddam is a socialist ,muslims according to the koran ,are not allowed to side with christians and jews and must back other muslims...us intelligence as come out and said different groups, sunni's, kurds are forming in both the north and south to take over...even bin laden knows this is an easy slam dunk for the US and is making one last ditch effort to rally muslim support against the US...put the pressure on now....its time....this is looking easier and easier everyday

do you remember the cal-stanford game in the early 80's(?) when cal ran back a kick off on the last play for the winning touchdown while the stanford band was on the field celebratiing..and the cal player ran over the tuba player???...god that was hilarious...the craziest play in NCAA history!!!

maggs is a good ballplayer,,very good..but your selling others short when you say maggs is the 2nd best outfielder... maggs 162 game averages...31 -116 ,305 , 362 obp ,885 ops ,avg RF defensively brian giles...34-106 304, 416 obp, 986 ops..plus he is a CF vlad...38 -113 322, 386 obp ,974 ops...best RF in baseball defensively chipper 33-108 - 309 , 404 obp , 948 ops...not sure how chipper is defensively ramirez 41-137 316, 411 obp, 1.010 ops..defensively he is below average walker 33-110 317 , 398 , 972 ops, excellent defensively..his problem is health and hes now 36... berkman 35-118 304 , 406 obp , 984 ops , not sure of his defense but he plays CF,cant be too bad williams 24-105 - 308 , 392 obp ,890 ops..above average CF all these guys carry a higher obp and ops than maggs...id say giles and vlad are better than maggs..its hard to ignore what ramirez is doing too...i put maggs ahead of walker and williams for sure..he is right there with berkman and chipper.....but any fan of any of these players could make a good case against maggs..as we could make one for him...there are some good ballplayers out there... and every year is gonna be a break out year for lee..heard that one for 3 years now

sad thing is he is better than miller or chandler...really i dont think stewart would work here because the bears never think outside the box and always try and force QB's into a set sytem....with a guy like stewart you have to totally redo your offense...he has to be on the perimeter..alot of roll out passes with run /pass option..qb draws and sweeps...alot of single wing type stuff...the bears would take stewart and force him into a drop back pocket passing offense..and he'd suck we would turn mike vick into a bust

You're a good and principled guy. I come here because I'm the only White Sox fan that I know of in Allegheny County Pennsylvania. I've never met you or anyone else on this board to my knowledge. If I was in a social gathering and we were playing Jeopardy or Trivial Pursuit I'd definitely want you on my team. If we ever do meet I'll tell you why I left the left 30 years ago or so. I'm not a "knee jerk" (and hopefully not a plain old jerk ) anything. My voters card says "non-partisan" . I know these times must be tough for you, not agreeing with the politics of the Executive Branch and having a kid in harms way. Hopefully it will all over soon with your kid, Nuke and everybody elses kid home safe and the White Sox in a pennant race. Now I offer my cyberhand to you in cyberspace. nice post..ive hungout with CWSOX a couple of times..he is a really good guy...his heart is in the right place...even if his politics arnt..j/k

..the best sox message board...must say jason and mario do a great job improving this board every chance they get..i got an old computer thats starting to die...on the other sites everything moves slow but i can always counton this one to never lose speed..whatever you guys are doing keep it up.. as for the fans..this group here, imo , is the most knowledgable..we get in alot of good discussions and except for a few occasion ( old roman - hsc..lol) its always done without attacking the poster.. even our politcal discussions...though lively and tend to get carried away are done passionately and present a wide range of views... this is a cool place..i hope we can keep this core group together for awhile...its really developed into a great site.. im done kissing everyones ass now

i hope portland does get a team...i thin kthey have orived with years and years of sell outs with the trailblazers that its a good sports town... and its the fastest growing city in america...they deserve a shot...is the commitment there to build a ML stadium???...im thinking a retractable roof because of the horrible weather in april in the PC WEST???. good luck you have no idea how bad the econ. is right now over here thats why i left oregon...they shut down the logging industry, the largest and really only industry in the state w/o anything to replace it with...then tried to go high tech and rode that boom out..whats next???

"isnt 85 years long enough"??
-
i will agree with that. i agree too....thinking back on all of KW's blunders...that one could very well top the list...how can he say that about a guy thats had 4 operations???...is it any wonder we lead the league in torn labrums??
-
i figure if a guy can play SS he can play 3rd or 2nd....gheez if he hits like dellareo he better..lol
-
you forget eddie collins at 2b...plus CW will crucify you for not having bobby knoop on that list 1b..joe kuhel had a great career with the sox and senators c..forgetable..ricky selhiemer...was gonna be the next johnny bench..came up at 19...left at 20 good outfielders ...mostil . wright , falk , berry starting pitchers..red faber , ted lyons relievers..wood , the two guys from the 59 team , thiggy dont know how those guys would fit in on your list but they are some quality players that spent a good amount of time with the sox...
-
are you talking about that zeringue guy???..the draft choice???...guess he went to college ...wasnt he also a football player???
-
id only take on person if he signed a brian daubach type contract...because he will probably need a year at triple A to get his stuff back
-
so i take it if graffy knee's doesnt heal or harris is a complete bust this guy is it???...is he better defensively then dellareo???....if we just want a defensive replacement he should be it..especially if we have harris on the bench as the speed guy...
-
why not porzio? Porzio is not part of the equation. The other guys in the pen are Koch and Marte. the only real shot porzio has is if we trade wunch, he just sux in ST and porzio take shis spot, or if a lefty gets hurt...even then porzio will have to o utpitch munoz who 's stock is rising bigtime... as a starter he's got loiaza , raunch and stewart ahead of him..maybe even glover...
-
guess the didnt get the news we are only taking 11 pitchers north....so it looks like diaz is now slated for the bullpen according to these guys??...i gues that makes sense since the big question on him was can his arm hold up to starting
-
padilla was pretty fair with that article...one thing i didnt know was carlos lee truniung down interviews because "he had too much stuff going on in his head"...great....heather..straighten out your husband

Wright. I really liked what I saw from him last season. He may be my favorite in terms of potential. He is a huge guy that can throw a ton of innings and I think he's going to turn into a serious workhorse. I also think he's got tremendous stuff. What I like about him and Wright is they have proven they can shut down the best teams in baseball. As long as you can do that, you know they got it, they just need to learn consistency and I think we started seeing that the 2nd half last year and they only got better as the season went on and that should continue for a while. i think rogers is better right now because of experience..but i agree with you on wright..i think he has the best upside of any of our pitchers..he could put up bartolo colon type number soon...look how far he has come from a 2-14 senior year in college..wasnt that just like 3 years ago???
