this town would burn to the ground....winners and losers partying in the same city???...one where there hasnt been a winner in 86 years now...with todays sports climate where the losers seem to feel they can go out and destroy their own town with random acts of violence this would be the all time show stopper...it would make soccer hooliganism look ghandi - esque

suggestion for spring training games.. see if we can get someone who has MLB audio to run the chatroom during ST games...they can do live updates for the rest of us poor bastards...ST games start around 3pm chicago time ..right now there is quite the crowd on the message board posting away..that same group could all be in a chatroom getting live updates of chisox ST baseball thats of course if MLB is not charging for ST games...

are you setting me up ....lol i still dont like that jimenez trade...i think this fernendez will be the real deal...but time will tell...
-
Ha! You are already wrong! You would be doing that U. S. Cellular Field! This is 2003, get with the program!! The name "Comiskey" is so last millenium! ive been calling it comiskey since '69..i dont think im gonna change..thats why i dont care what name they call it now..ill always call it comiskey
-
cwsox..not that alex fernandez..the 21 year old CF we gave away for jimenez...he hit 299 at AAA last year chisoxfan..mario shattered his shoulder crashing into a wall..had to have surgery ..im not sure if its his throwing shoulder or not...i hope it wasnt because he had an arm that was 2nd only to borchard as far as chisox outfielders
-
the only predicting im doing is that ill be grillin some steaks at the big tailgating party on opening day at comiskey...other than that..im just gonna hopefully enjoy the season.... i love the cold weather but this winter sux..no snow at all...we are due a very warm april this year..thats what impredicting..nice april weather and sell out crowds

I disagree with you on Harris, but Harris has yet to show me anything either. I'm with you on the idea of a veteran catcher. Considering Olivo has no experience with any of these players and the fact that Paul isn't too hot at calling a game, there was a definate need to bring in someone familiar with this staff and good at calling a game. Alomar was the perfect choice. He was cheap and the staff raves about his abilities to call a game. He is also thought to be a future coach and is very willing to teach Olivo. By the way, welcome aboard. The only team that may claim Paul would be the Padres. They are weak when it comes to catching. maybe we could trade josh to san deigo and get alex fernandez back

i never seen those guys play but my understanding on lollar was he was a below average defensive player..is that true???
-
unfortunately "the gambler" is a client of scott boros...going to the highest bidder is all but a given
-
boston has moved fake giambi to first base now id wager to bet that josh paul has fallen so far off the radar screen that if we sent him to charlotte out of options there is a good chance no one would even bother to pick him up... when i asked jerry manuel about daubach at soxfest he almost gaurenteed him a roster spot...all daubach has to do is show up this spring and hit the ball hard...he's got a job
-
i just saw another i always thought was hilarious...caption ron...with kurt russell...i was laughing my ass off...another movie he did that was good was "the best of times" with robin williams...

2nd baseman we got from the angels..he is behind aaron miles in the depth chart...his career is looking over right now

How many did Nomar have though? I'm sure it wasn't anywhere near the 40 manos would put up over a full season at short. manos never made 40 errors in a season...he has had 2 seasons wehre he made 30 plus...out of how many in the league now....ill go on record and say if manos plays the entire year at SS..22 errors this year..we can live with that.. guess you wouldnt have been a fan of luis aparicio either..he was very similiar to manos...great range, great arm...prone to make errors...luis high for errors was 35..one less than manos...he also had another season where he made 30..his lowest total was 12..he averaged about 22 errors a season...very jose valentin-esque...his lifetime fldg pct was 972, jose 's is 956...thats only like 3 errors a season...yet aparicio is considered the best fldg SS in the game not named ozzie or honus....

i would agree with that 100% if we wernt in this situation with colon??...are we going to resign him or is this a one year deal???... if this is really this teams best shot at a world series then i wouldnt make the trade because i think we need valentin to win it this year..plus rauch might very well be the best 5th option...valentin's the only left handed power hitter in the line up and his intangables speak for themselves.. now if i knew we were going to resign colon to like a 4 year deal and we would have him and buehrle anchoring the staff for the next half decade then id really consider making the trade...i guess it comes down to what future tack this franchise decides to take

YAS..the difference is rollins is now a proven commodity...rauch is still a guy that has loads of potential but has accomplished nothing at the big league level....rollins has so much more worth then rauch right now I understand the Rollins has proven himself. But if the Phillies scouts are really high on Rauch, and you have to remember, they only have Millwood for one year, they just might do this. As the old saying goes... You can never have enough pitching. do you think its a good deal for either team...ive heard of win -win trades...this looks like a lose -break even trade at best to me...if we were still in rebuild mode id be more open to it..

hell no i dont want to spend that kind of cash, not for a k master anyhow..... screw that.. rowand will be fine in cf.. and if not then bring up borchard.. hell its about damn time he earned his keep anyhow.....hes good defensively and honestly i belive with a steady diet of major pitching ( i know i say this everytime) he will cut down those k's alot...........were stuck with the yard gnome out in lf for another year anyhow so may as well make the best of it...........im sick of hearing about how great these guys are.. let them show it for a change............ i hear ya on wilson...if we picked him up there is no way we could resign colon...it would put our over 75 million next year if wilson was thrown into the mix and we wanted to keep the team in tacked...screw that who would you rather..colon long term or wilson??? who the hell is wilson's agent???...he did a great job
-
why in the hell would philly want to trade rollins???..he's 24..they own his rights for 4 more seasons...he is in the same boat buehrle is with us..the last 2 season (his first two) he has hit in double digits in doubles ,triples and homers....has speed to burn..carries a 970 fldg pct with good range... this kid is to the phillies what mark buehrle is to us...would you trade mark buehrle for jose valentin and jon rauch ???... it would take crede and borchard to get rollins...no friggen way

sorry guys..still like my idea the best...work out a deal for trot nixon...t rot is a lifetime 270 hitter with a .360 OBP..hits ya 25 homers and about 35 doubles over a full season..thats alot of power for a guy that will be your CF....id move lee for nixon yesterday
-
danny wright..watching colon pitch day in and day out should help his game..very similiar pitchers
