sat..im supposed to be with HSC and cwsox, hopefully meeting up with RPS cubkilla and a few others...im not sure what time but if you check the bars at any given time were bound to be there:)
-
like cwsox said..there isnt enough info to form a concrete opinion.. from the way the story reads...this guy ran on the field and the one player attacked him then another came by and hit him with a bat...if thats actually how it happened then those 2 should go to jail...now if that fan attacked one of the players then its a different story... fans dont belong on the field but we cant just go around beating them to death with a baseball bat either

everybody...its skippy from family ties!!!!!

i though i laid it out in my response...if you understood it maybe you could dumb it down for me...because i honestly cant understand what the hell he is trying to say... thats why i asked if this was a word for word transcript..because normally he doesnt come off this messed up

"I don't think I'd rate him in my organizational Top 10, mainly because he doesn't have the upside of other guys in the system." "Diaz, Honel, Wing, West, Wyatt Allen, Royce Ring, Edwin Almonte, Arnie Munoz, and Sanders all rank ahead of him in my book. " question...doesnt bullard have a higher upside then guys like ring, almonte, and munoz??...i dont know much about bullard other than he has put up good number everywhere he has pitched but when you talk about upside you are talking about as far as a guy can go...any starter in the minors should have a higher upside then a reliever because alot of starters become relievers but very few go the other way..and starting pitching is more of a premium... to look at it another way..if ring cant make in his role..game over..if bullard cant make it as a starter he can always make the move to the bullpen..eric gagne comes to mind in this respect...never had it as a starter..but now is closing for the dodgers...btw..thats another of KW's screw ups everyone forgets about....howry for gagne was a done deal..till williams said he wanted another prospect from the dodgers...

is this transcript word for word??...he sounds illiterate.. "We all have learned that the teams that are divided are the teamsthat generally find themselves that go home in October. "..huh??? ". I am not going to make any declarations, people take that to mean something it is not."...again , huh??? "I enjoy what I do. Please, let's get a grip and perspective of this. I generally manage a baseball team"...of this??...generally manage??? "That reputation is greatly exaggerated. I get in the locker room to have a conversation to see that we are on the same page. The same way with any of the coaches' needs and concerns. I may stay out to watch batting practiceand I may not. One thing people have to understand, I was player development director and most of the players on our team came up our system. No one else in the organization can say that. We draw upon what our experiences are to get them over the hurdle. It's hands-on to that degree."...this whole paragraph makes no sense at all... "I am not too busy to listen to some of the things that are written and said. That doesn't mean I pay attention to them."..if you are listening then you must be paying attention... kenny williams..the great communicator!!!

My favorite memories of HP go back to the 2000-2001 seasons. 1.After helping the Sox go an unbelievable 7-0 in Cleveland and NewYawk that June, He came up huge in the clutch as Kip Wells beat Bartolo Colon 7-1 at Comiskey. HP homered and tripled off Colon in the win. 2.His September performance on a hot Sunday afternoon that helped the Sox rally to defeat the Halos. 3.In June of 2001,he started a winning rally off (then) Tigers reliver Todd Jones by singling over the head of 2nd baseman Damion Easley in the 10th inning. This after he'd fouled off 8-10 Jones deliveries. The Tigers walked Ray Durham, one of the hottest hitters on the team at that time.Konerko ended it when he homered to left off reliever Matt Anderson. That ball landed just shy of the left field concourse. It was a blast!! number 3...the konerko homer game..i was at that game in the LF bleachers...my first and only walk off game...probably the most exciting sox game ive ever seen personally...we were down 6 runs going into the 7th inning...

Not really, I think he was giving a best case scenario. Opposition will slow down these changes and trust me there will be opposition. There is always fierce opposition when jobs are at stake. Here is a case where more jobs than ever will be at stake and things will get pretty sticky. good point..

Baggs....how about the team being led mentally and emotionally by Valentin, with Thomas's bat, with Ordonez's great, quiet numbers, and the guys who hustle their ass off....we don't have a vocal leader for our starting rotation...then again, not many teams do. The key to this season should not be to win....but rather to have fun and try to win a few ballgames here and there....make some miracle comebacks like we did in 2000....and act like kids....and I think we will, though that may just be personal bias....we got Crede, Jimenez, Olivo and Rowand/Borchard/Harris and then we have the forever young Jose Valentin....we have Koch in the pen and kids that should pitch better in the rotation....a better bullpen than last year's....I'm getting excited about this year...and I don't think it is just because I haven't had baseball in near 4 months now. there are so many keys to this season...but i think if i had to pick you have just hit the right one...jose valentin...not so much his numbers...he has to do his share and get big hits and make the great play at SS...but he has to be the emotional leader as you said...he has to play well to do that thought..if he hits 210 then it wont work...id like to see 25 - 80 - 260 out of jose in the 2 spot..numbers similiar to 2000...ill say this..if jose reaches those numbers..and manuel just leaves him alone at SS and in the 2 hole...we beat the twinkies !! thats my bold prediction...hahaha supernuke..thats why we got rick white..the former bouncer! !!

in wavin wallys case yes..thats because he has had so many thrown out at home its rediculous...with less than 2 outs which is a HUGE nono..never ever get a runner thrown out at the plate with less than 2 outs...but most of our baserunning blunders happen with the play in front of the baserunner..getting thrown out going from 1st to 3rd on a base hit from left field to center is not the base coaches problem...thats a play where the baserunner is looking where the ball is hit as he rounds 2nd..his call.. getting picked off any base...baserunners fault and not the coches...on any base the base runner once he gets his lead is looking right at the pitcher... those were the mistakes we made most.. what type of baserunning mistakes are the coaches fault...3rd base...anytime he waves a runner around to home...a runner going to 3rd base on a ball hit to RF...this play sparked a huge debate over josh paul being thrown out at 3rd for the first out in the 9th with the sox down a run...who's fault was it???...some say wally waved him over..other say josh went on his own after wally put up the stop sign..we dont know because we never got wally on camera on that play...but whenever a play is behind the runner going to 3rd or rounding 3rd..its the 3rd base coaches call.. 1st base coach..on a base hit to LF..if he sees the outfielder bobble it he can make that call..again this is a play thats kind of behind the runner and the 1st base coach will usually see it first...on an infield hit where the throw gets by the first baseman...or a grounder to 3rd or ss that goes through to the outfield for an error...plays to cf and rf should be the responsibility of the base runner because he can see those.. so heather, when we look at what and what isnt the responsibility of the base coaches...look for more of the same..these kinds of mistakes have to be rectified by the players..now with the veteran bench we have manuel can do something about if he has the stones...if the same guys keep screwing up ...bench them for a game or two...worked for miguel tejada in oakland...

The 1% doesn't work? How do you explain millionaires getting 42,000 dollars in tax cuts that were supposed to help the economy. Look, yesterday the Dow closed beneath 8000. George Bush just threw the National Surplus down the toilet, and you still refuse to recgonize it. did you read my post at all..my post you quote to rip bush says nothing about tax cuts...what i said is the democrats have to find a new strategy besides the 1% thing because it doesnt work...people dont buy it... one thing ive learned in my time on this earth is there is always more than one right way to do a job...just because you dont agree with bush's tax cut doesnt mean he is a f***ing moron and anyone who agrees with him too...christ how closed minded are you???..i thought you came from the party of tolerance??.... whether you agree with bush's tax plan or not there are 100's of economists that do..people with much more education in this area then probably anyone posting here...just as there are 100's that dont...and the only way we find out whether he is right or not is to give his plan a chance and see what happens...

yeah, on paper we are a better club..now we just need something to bring it all together (wasnt that a line from major league??)
-
donkeykonerko..i liked your response i just want to hit on one issue...the democrats need to get off this 1% or 5% thing when they are always talking about any republican in regurds to tax cut...there is a good reason why it doesnt work...CNN did a poll on the top 1%...while its only 1%, 20 % of americans think they are in that top 1%..and another 19% believe they will be there someday...now broaden it to 5% and ill bet more than 50% believe they ware or will be in the top 5% someday... i think the dems have to take a different tack when it comes to rebutting tax cuts..the 1% thing just doesnt work

So, this is why, when Dubya JUST entered the White House, he killed the Supercar project. The supercar project, which was a joint combination on the Clinton Administration and several car companies (Ford, Daimler-Chrylser, and another), was a project aimed at cutting down foreign dependence on Oil. The goal of the Supercar project was 80 MPG. In the first days when Dubya entered office, he killed the Supercar project, even though Daimler-Chrysler engineers had reached a car that sustained 82 MPG. So don't tell me this f***stick is looking for alternative sources of fuel. He's lying out of his ass. Also, the God part sickens me. Maybe Bush should read up on the Treaty of Tripoli where George Washington said, and I quote: Way to go, George, drill this country into the ground slower, I thoroughly enjoy it. maybe - just maybe - he didnt think that program was going to work..so he axed it and came up with one he likes better...it is his right as president

the giants were going to use neifi perez at 2nd if ray was in the outfield...so this is a great move for the giants..they are replacing perez with cruz..
-
lloked to me like bush said a few things the democrats wernt ready for...their response was like 10 minutes after his speech..so they have to write their response before the president speaks...they got caught off gaurd on that one...i didnt even expect bush to hit on the enviroment so much

Right on my brother! Jason, I'm sorry to disagree with you, you know I respect the hell out of you for so many reasons. Just like for Mormons, you give your two years of service but only for your country and when it is over, school will still be there. We havent has the draft since it officially ended on 30 June 1973 if I am correct on the date. For 30 years we have raised citizens in the midst of much material abundance as we all sit at our computers and it is time that we start reminding people again that there is a price for this freedom and this country. Let no one say it isn't fair, it isn't just, they didn't plan for it - the people who died on11 September didn't want their lives interrupted and the innocent civilians and the members of the rank and file military in Iraq who will be killed, the conscripts, not there by choice, and they don't their lives interrupted either. Or to be killed so students and drink and get trashed and do drugs and get wasted and have sex and prepare for lucrative careers without interruption. Whatever encourages people to consider the cost and how thsoe on the other side might feel, I am for - God Bless America and 2 year compulsory service for everyone - maybe especially for those who go to universities that we pay for with our taxes so that can earn big money later in ours system, time to say thank you with universal service. With me Baggio? (And Bags, am I getting all sarcastic tonight?) thats two things we now agree on ...militasry service and the death penalty!!..beofre you know we might even end up voting for the same candidates someday.....nah..we will just keep canceling each other out..lol

one of the parts that really struck me as something i didnt expect to here was hisn remamrks about hydrogen cars...also the money set aside for improving firefighting techniques..as an ex- wildland firefighter..i can tell you that is money that is long overdue.. the ey for his was against saddam will come from women...polls show that his support amongst men to go to war is stil las strong as ever...but its starting to drop off with women..so his speech about iraq should have been geared to the female audience...was he successful???...by that i mean do you think he did a good a job at speaking to the female audience??...not whether you agree or disagree with his stand on iraq...

1. Psycho, you can better than that. We all love our country. That is not at issue. What we think our country should do in this situation and in its total relationship to the world is at issue. By the way, I am one of those who definitely want the draft re-instated, for everyone, and f*** no, no student deferments anymore. I want every one there to have their ass on the line and that may begin to influence their thinking. And I want everyone to be involved in government service, no more f***ing free rides for those who are too busy scheming to get their first million and whine about being too busy or better than othrs - everyone serves. Everyone. Why should my son the Marine or the grads of West Point (so to speak) be the only ones with their asses on the line? Everyone serves. Write to your congressal representative and tell her/him to support Rep. Rangel's bill to reinstate the draft, a universal draft. 2. If you are referring to the post WW1 Palmer Raids, I am impressed. Our deportation of people then was one of the most shameful times in American history since the Alien and Sedation Act under John Adams. i agree with you 100% on the draft (go figure huh)...i also agree with alot of your reasonings (now that might really surprise you)...right now the military is a great ,great place for people who are economically disadvatange to get the resources they need to help themselves move up economically...but they shouldnt have to bargin with their lives will a lot of others who are well off reap the benefits.. everyone should do their part to serve this country...giving 2 years of your life to support this country is nothing compared to all the benifits we recieve living in a free society....
