one thing about daubach..ive folowed his career since july of '00...0-15 is pretty common with this guy...in boston he could wear the collar a whole week and then get a seeing eye single and all of a sudden go 11-15 and carry the team on his back...but when all is said and done his numbers over his 4 year career are as about as consistent as they come...he is very much like ray durham in that aspect...hot , cold , hot , cold, but in the end hes' always there i was thinking this might be his start..then he has to face santana in his next two at bats who is death on lefties...he still got some good swings off santana..i see him starting to lock in...the key is if he gets hot..will jerry play him enough to stay hot??...if a righty is going for the twins toorrow i hope dauber gets the nod

do they really have a plan??...they have been rebuilding since about '85..with no positives that i can see...

dear lord , please let it be true what HSC and CW are saying..havent soxc fans paid enough for the black cloud we brought over baseball 84 years ago???...isnt that long enough??...the jews only wandered in the desert for 40 years...we have more than doubled that ...please lord...please...let the powers to be make one good move here and replace KW with a qualified GM

god dammit dont say that!!!!!! ive been seeing cade mcnown all day long in this guy..ive just been afraid to say it

this happens with detroit every year..they start out april with , if they are lucky 5 wins..then towards the end of april -beginning of may teams cant even get motivated to play them and they start to sneek up on teams and put a winning streak together...then teams go hey these guys are playng good we betetr wake up against them..then t hey lose 10 ina row and are back in the cellar for good

garland standing up for maggs was big... still have stuff to improve on..in a 3 inning run we left 8 guys on base...only scoring one run...8 guys in 3 innings...we still are not situational hitting at all i would check our record in one run or tied games from the 7th inning on ..when we are winning 60% of those kinds of games then i would say this team has figured it out..

roman..no one is denying rowand sucks..but what you would doing is just like a parent who says if you do that one more im gonna ground you...and the kid does it and then you dont follow through....when a bunt sign is given the player asked to bunt has to do everything in his power to get the bunt down...no excuses..if he fails in giving a 100% effort he has to sit..im not saying forever but for maybe 2 games... tejada did a few things similiar in the early part of last season...wasnt hustling , wasnt listening...art howe benched him 4 games...he came back and won the AL MVP...see what a little motivation can do

but most of koch's pitchers were 86 -88..he had one real high fastball at 90..even garland was reaching 86...even if you add 5 mph koch is still at 91-93 , occasionally 95...this is a guy thay should bring it 98 anytime he needs it if we take a one run lead into the 9th tomorrow..can we really bring in koch to pitch??? baggio, I now consider that we need a four run lead at the end of 8 to be Koch Proof.™ thats about right..3 runs im still nervous
-
i give you rocky biddle, lorenzo barcelo , james baldwin , jim parque , mike sirotka , ect ect ect as examples of sox pitchers in the past few years that were run out there with sore arms ect...why stop now
-
neal cotts wont be helping us this year...so i could give a rats ass about koch...he's probably 2 years away..in the meantime if this team folds up this season and KW twhite flags the season and bartolo and maggs are moved if neil cotts became the next randy johnson it would still be a bad trade... the koch trade weakened the sox for the '03 season..so imo it cant be considered a good trade

you think so???..you might have a point...i sure dont agree with it.. i like country and i have a dixie chics cd...their cd , "wide open spaces" is excellent...but i sure wouldnt look to them for my politcial ideas reguardless of whether they supported my views or not...they are just singers..for every singer or group that makes it there are thousands that are just as good or better who just cant get the right break..be in the right place at the right time...but these guys that make it always begin to believe the hype around them..i guess its almost impossible not to...chances are everyone around you is feeding you lines of s*** about how great you are as they try and dig into your pockets

here's the bio on briggs...again another guy that looks like he has more negatives than positives...still no help for kordell and one of the NFL's worst offenses Notes: High school sprinter and weight man who played running back, linebacker and safety. Began college career as a fullback and started twice as a true freshman, carrying the ball 25 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns and catching one pass for 12 yards. Moved to defense at the end of the 1999 season and won All-Pacific-10 honors as an inside linebacker in 2000 and '01. Made 113 stops, including 11 for loss, one sack, seven passes broken up, two interceptions and one fumble recovery in 2000; 93-14-6½-1-0-0 in '01, when he played part of the season with a cast on his hand; and 98-10½-3-2-1 in '02, when he led the team in tackles despite missing one game. Didn't impress at the Combine. Positives: Productive three-year starter with good intangibles. Hustles and plays hard. Has good speed and range. Has some ability to take on blockers and is good at slipping off them. Stood out in the '02 Washington State game. Solid special-teams player. Plays hurt. Negatives: Aside from that Washington State game, he rarely made a huge impact. Lacks game-in, game-out consistency as well as great size, is a little stiff and has no exceptional traits. Pumped up from 230 pounds to 250 before the '02 season, and extra weight may have hurt him. Currently weighs about 240. Isn't physical enough. Summary: There are teams who like Briggs as high as the second round, but question his toughness because he seems unwilling to take on blocks. Good enough to make a team and contribute, but might never provide what teams are looking for in a starter.

hsc, steff..you gals wanna field this one???
-
i love the hawkaroo....he's so cool..he really loves the sox!! ! twins probably will retaliate..the way it works now first pitcher gets to hit someone..then the umps come out and warn both sides so there can be no retaliation by the aggrieved party...it sucks..it almost forces a team to hit someone so the other team's pitcher cant pitch inside
-
its "mankaybytch"!!!!
-
if you watgched rios at bat it was no accident he didnt get the bunt...he let a perfect pitch to bunt go by..then left the bat back so his next bunt went foul....also go ask the giant fans about rios...this wouldnt be the first time rios pulled something like this..he was known as a pretty good hitter there...decent in the field but had a bad attitude.. if you dopnt put a guy like that in check as soon as these thngs crop up then they become the norm..thats why rowand should have gotten the start...but if this org had any brains borchard would be out there in CF
-
billy botch on in a non save situation.. mankaybytch up...gun shows botch throwing 86 mph...koch strikes out bytch on a terrible breaking ball in the dirt..its so far away from olivo it goes to the sox dugout and bytch is safe at first on k dropped 3rd strike ..runner on first ..no outs koskie hits a slow two hopper to jose..goes to 2nd for the force..relay not in time...one out runner stuill at first.. aj up , k's on a 84 mph slider..koch did get one fastball up to 90mph..probably more like 94 from the swing by aj..but either way botch gets his 2nd k..2 outs cyddyer pinch hits...koch throwing alot of curves....decides to throw a 90 mph fastball belt high...can you guess what happened??? ...2 run homer for cyddyer..7-3 good guys jones up now hits a one hopper to koch out 1-3..SOX WINN!!!

santana still in dj k's on a 1-2 pitch val k's, thats 5 k's for santana thomas , after a check swing that was called safe by the first base ump where it really looked like he went draws a walk on a 3-2 pitch..well take it now maggs ...on an 0-2 tomohawks a high fastball right down the rf line..a line drive homer that just clears the fence..man did he crush that..great top hand action...maggs has seriouslty strong wrists and hands to hit a ball like that...so a run blast ...makes 7 to 2 good guuys..maggs has 5 homers and 18 rbi on the season daubber pops out to guzman sox score 2 on maggs homer..we go to the 9th up 7-2... and we sanatize the game from billy botch
-
