as you know ive supported thomas through all the bad times as well as the good and still thinks he is the greatest white sox player ever...probably should have used a different choice of words (especially after the attacks at the cell) but my frustration just came out that weay...sorry about that... i hope everyone on this site knows that and would never take that to heart with that said..im so pissed at him right now...ugh!!!!

jose leads off with a double...we are down 3-2..thomas swings at the first pitch and lines out to 3rd...GOD DAMMIT WTF is wrong with him !!!..how many years has he been in the league??/..you dont swing at the first pitch in that situation unless you can drive it to RF... god damn this team....winning baseball is a friggen mindset..if he had the right mindset of my job is to advance the runner he would have never swung at a pitch inside on the first pitch...why is it so hard to figure out you have to go to rf in that situation??..is being the hero more important than winning???...cant you let a teammate get the big hit..or in this case if jose was on 3rd it would have been a chopper off home plate to tie up the game and go extra innings... we did a real good job sunday of taking advantage of those opportunities..one day off and we are back to pulling everything...no one looking to play team baseball... if we lose we lose..but i hate it when an opportunity presents itself to tie up the game late and we dont even attempt to take advantage of it we deserved to lose that game..the baseball gods gave us a chance and we s*** on it..we didnt get another baserunner after that despite the fact foulke was off and throwing everything over the heart of the plate..thats what happens when you dont play the game the right way.. its only one at bat i know..but sometimes thats all you get...

tarp is still on the field and its still raining

who???

weather update...looking at weatherscan via comcast cable and the weather channel...its a narrow band of rain thats moving directly east but it satretches back to the mississippi..if it would move like 10 miles north it would be dry..or about 20 miles south...but it looks like its just gonna keep heading right through comiskey..looks like some heavier rain is headed towards comiskey if it keeps tracking like it is so it will get worse before it gets better...but im in the burbs about 5 miles north of comiskey and it stopped raining here..hopefully thats a good sign
-
its a narrow band of rain that streches is from the east end of lake mich all the way back to the mississippi river right now...its moving directly east at about 25 mph..its pretty steady all the way back west but it is narrow and a little shift to the north and it will clear up quick..so lets hope for a little wind shift

looking like alot of rain coming our way

thats because most of us dont have the talent these guys have..almost all of them are recognized early on they have a special talent and baseabll or any sport always came so easy to them...it makes it easy to lose perspective..those of us who dont have that talent and have to give it our all 100% of the time just to play understand that a little better

attendance is down due to a sluggish economy combined with the fact that the sox raised ticket prices coming of a mediocre and disappointing year.. not very good strategy at all chipper jones said that he thinks it because prices have gotten so high that a family man of 4 just cant afford to go to as many games as he used to...chipper nailed that one

im a white sox fan because they were one of the two teams loctaed in chicago..im a fan because the represent the are of chicago i was born in...now if they moved to like gary ind i would be a fan because they are still within that geographical area...but if the moved to like washington DC...no way..id probably become a drays fan just so i wouldnt be considered a bandwagon jumper and i did live in that area for awhile if the sox moved to portland i might consider staying a fan since i lived there too , a lot longer than i did in fla and i got a lot of family there... but more than likely my alligence would end...not only would i not root for them..it would probably become my most hated team

i dont know why the president didnt sell ths aspect of the benefits to removing saddam..the only reason we were in SA was because if we left saddam goes right back into kuwait...with saddam gone we essentially take the troops from saudi and put them in iraq until iraq is ready to roll on its own..the onl yway we were ever getting troops out of the middle east was getting rid of saddam..this war was a just war..but the president and his people sure did a s***ty job of selling it

In this case, if Gamboa had pressed the issue, I'm sure it would be more than probation. He didn't/isn't. Every case is different, but there is a guideline (as sad as it may be) to follow. And critic.. I wasn't calling you "perfect". It was a specific comment to clujer. it shouldnt be up to gamboa to decide what happens to these guys....the court has to take everything into consideration... 1. the supposed drug and alcohol abuse... 2. the blindside attack by 2 individuals younger and physically superior men on an elderly man... 3. the permanent injury gamboa suffered... 4. these two perps were supervisiong children at the time 5. the brazeness of the attack this wasnt like 2 guys in a bar getting drunk then going out in the street and getting it on...these two guys at a public sporting event knowing it would be captured on tv for the whole world to see ran onto a baseball field and attack a man in his 50's?? maybe 60's??...the age of those involved should be a factor...plus that looked like more like attempted murder to me than simple assault...if no one would have came to gamboa's aid (lets say it took place in a more private setting) they would have killed him..that im sure of....just looked at how viscous the attack was before it was broken up...the man suffered permanent injuries and the attack only last about 5 seconds...give those 2 animals one minute and gamboa was a dead man... if he gets off on probation what does that tell the next dumbass at a ballpark anywhere in the country???... im not for locking this guy up and throwing away the key..if he has shown signs of honestly repenting and working through his addictions and maybe fixing up his life thats great....and should be taken into account...but he is still responsible for his actions... id offer him this....5 years in prison or 1 year in a boot camp style drug rehab program...hes locked down in drug rehab for one year..one year of basic training type enviorment where he has no access to drugs..where he is in a controlled enviorment 24-7...not one of these one month rehabs where you stay clean that month then you get a pass where you can go out and get drugs....he is under constant supervision for one yeart where he can really dry out...there should also be phychiatric help for mr lique to deal with his past demons.. after completion of that...he still stays in the program..locked down for another year so we are all positive he cant get drugs but now the focus should move towards eduacation..i dont know what his education level is but from his history as it was portrayed by his sister he's probably lucky to have a high school diploma...so the 2nd year should be giving him a chance to develop skills that should benefit him and give him a better sense of self worth once he leaves prison.. after returning to society..one year of probation with monthly drug testing..he stays clean for the year the his debt is paid and he is done..if he tests positve his probation is revoked at that point and he serves out the rest of his 5 year probation (minus time served and time on probatio nwhere he stayed clean) in jail... that would be 2 long years of drug rehab and education for mr lique and one year probation where he must stay clean.....this would satisfy imo mr lique's debt to society , in the long run it helps him deal with his personal problems hopefully giving him the tools and skills needed to become a more peaceful and positive person , and it sends a message to other who might be thinking of doing the same thing that you will pay bigtime for your transgressions.. jmo

bottom line is they just dont have the talent..last year we way underachieved...if we can show the same heart this year that the twins showed last year we will blow them away..

please dont tell me we are thinking of moving jimenez to SS...i know he is off to a good start and that sometimes hides flaws but this guy is no SS..i know people think he has comeback 100% from his injuries but he has long term effects that does effect his abilities...he has lost speed and quickness...especiallly going to his left...which is going into the hole at SS...even before the injury his arm wa always marginal for a SS....he would be the bad version of the clayton - valentin hybrid SS...his penchant for errors would only be exceeded by his lack of range and weak arm you can get by with him on 2nd if he is hitting and getting on base..but please..not at SS.. my plan is to win the division ..then get jose to come back for 3 more years at SS..hopefully this gives andy gonzalez time to develop...or if he disappoints then it gives us time to find the right SS from another org...

did you know , loaiza's 5 wins tie him with maddux , pedro and RJ combined of course on the flip shea hillenbrand's 25 rbi 's is 8 more than the combined totals of konerko and thomas
