t was 10-1 when he went in the game..12-1 when he left the 6 million dollar mop up man...maybe lee majors can play him in the movie

rex come on..that was a rocket olered hit to valentin...he got and made a perfect feed to jimenez who was just getting to the bag...even if jose field it cleanly , which was damn near impossible he still would have had to wait for jimenez to get there...plus if you look at the replay the runner was out ny a good foot..it wasnt even a close call...the only to blame on that was the ump... cwsox...brian is a first baseman by trade...seems to do a little better in LF than RF...just doesnt have the arm to play RF...but in a perfect world he'd never step foot on the outfield grass... he did look bad outt here didnt he??..they showed a shot of him in about the 7th inning ...he looked extremely upset...it just doesnt work out for us does it??

the only team in know that is desperate for a closer and could afford koch is boston...and id take whover they wanted to give us for him... cwsox..notice that the mariner's two miscues in this series both came off the bat of harris on grounders??....speed makes guys hurry and causes mistakes..i think teams relax against us because we dont put pressure on them...

yeah i know..boston would probably want marte... boston has a SS thats coming up thats supposed to be pretty hot..he'll never unseat nomar...wonder if we picked up some of koch's contract if they would make that deal???...maybe hoping koch will regain his form this SS is 19 and is number 34 on the hot prospect list....what what else besides koch it would take to get this guy??...from BA "34. i thought that too..until marte came in the next inning...you could see a huge difference between damaso and botch...the gun had botch at 93-95 but it had marte at 95-97....they have been calabrating that thing for awhile at comiskey but whatever the case marte has about 2 mph more on his fastballs and martes pitches have much more movement than koch's... think boston would take koch??...they need a closer bad

he has kinda been buried because he is not a huge home run guy and other first baseman steal the spotlight with 50 home run seasons...but looking at some of his stats , he has had some 50 plus doubles seasons ..a few over 100 rbi seasons..300 career hitter and a hell of a defensive 1st baseman...he is probably the most underrated player in the game now that palmiero is getting recognition because he is approaching 500 homers...

i say its heart..this team just doesnt have any..and i dont if thats something that can found...its seems like either the collections of players you assemble as a team either have it or they dont...this group for 2 plus years now has shown us they dont have it

It's very easy to say a guy sucks after he leaves your team. 144 saves over a 4 year span doesn't suck. 6 blown saves in APRIL alone.....HE SUCKS 1 bad month doesn't erase what he's accomplished in the previous 4 years. If you think it does, you have lots to learn about professional sports. cluj..compare his stats to the other top closers...you'll be surprised how much he really does suck....his strikes outs per 9 innings , whip , BAA , walks , era , save pct...they are very average at best for a closer in '01 koch had a 4.80 era and 10 blown saves...thats the billy koch we got...an average closer having a bad year

rex..do you realize how important this season is??...if we white flag this season we will be trading colon and maggs and god knows who else...we cant suffer with a guy going through a 7-17 season..this isnt birmingham..if we dont win this year next season will be year 1 of the umpteenth 5 year plan that sox fans have lived through....patience might be a virtue but not on the south side... Patience may not be, but common sense is. As soon as a guy messes up you guys go directly into personal attacks or say something completely opposite that was said last week. The Sox are not playing well and I can understand your frustration, but let's relax a bit. Give the season time to develop rather then taking a "sky is falling" approach when we are still above .500. i havent attacked the guy personally..i defended him by saying he probably shouldnt be here so its not really his fault...but we cant wait for him to figure it out..somebody somewhere has to step up for this team...there are guys that come into the league and play good ball from day one...it does happen..just not here

every close call has gone against the sox..and alot that wernt even that close..like tonight's at 2nd..jose makes a great play on a rocket hit by olerud..gets the force at 2nd..replay shows the runner was out by a good FOOT..a good 12 inches....ump calls him safe... this kind of stuff didnt start happening until after the attack...im not one thats big on this conspircy theory stuff but man its gotta make you wonder...when is the last time a close play went our way???

in fairness to josh he shouldnt have been put in this spot..he wasnt ready to pitch in the majors yet..hopefully danny will be back in stewarts spot for the next start

well we are getting better..we went from giving cameron a 3 run homer down to a 3 run triple ...this team sux

yeah , he does suck..just ask A's or blue jay fans.. he is a power pitcher that cant strike hitters out and walks more batters than any top closer...his WHIP 1.33!!!..thats freakin horrible!!!..

for christ sakes mike cameron hit 239 last year!!!...everyone in the freaking league gets him out but us..look at some film on this guy..how are other teams getting him out???....whatever the hell we are doing for 3 years now its not working so change the pattern...this is a stupid baseball team we support

thats a key with a closer....when you blow a save dont blow the game...give your team a chance by not giving up the lead..oakland is becoming famous for bailing out its closers..whoever they are
