it's very unlikely Houston loses HFA in the first rd. The Sox are 2 games back in the loss column with 3 games left.
If the Sox sweep DET it would put them at 94-68 and only need OAK to take 3 of 4. If the Sox take 2 of 3, it puts them at 93-69 and need OAK to sweep.
If Houston takes the first two games vs Oakland, TLR should just play the scrubs and rest everyone else
still waiting for somebody, anybody, to find me a road gray Robert jersey with the numbers on the front and back, for sub $160 that isn't a cheap Chinese knockoff, I can't afford the $350+ official MLB.com prices
This was probably posted and I missed it, but the reds announcers saying Rodon didn't look good in his BP session and that TLR didn't like what he saw (something to that effect)
I'm going to make a prediction: Rodon will sign a new deal with the Sox in the offseason and it will not be a very lucrative deal for Carlos because it will have a lot of performance incentives baked in on every year that the deal is for. I don't think any team is gonna throw money at him after his recent set backs
that 2-0 slider was sick, the fact that he threw a pin point lazer on the outside corner for a strike on 2-1 was just unbelievable, he's like a totally different pitcher
funny thing is the tigers announcers are all over Manning with the 5 walks, but the scouting report on the Sox since the end of August has probably been that they've been getting themselves out on garbage, so don't give them any good pitches to hit. but the Sox seem to have finally made the adjustment and took their walks. that Vaughn AB was pretty awesome minus that foul ball 6 inches above the zone
