White Sox Winner: feel better Bassit!
this is where I think playing in a weak division hurts the Sox. The Sox have the talent to hang with the playoff teams in the AL if the schedule allowed to play them on a regular basis. those additional ABs vs quality pitching (where adjustments could be made to prepare them for the playoffs) just aren't available in large enough sample sizes due to only facing the best teams twice a year HOU 6gms, NYY 6gms, BOS 7gms, TB 6gms, TOR 7gms That's 32 games out of 162, which breaks down to a mere 19.7% of the season to prepare for playoff teams, it's almost an unfair disadvantage to play in such a weak division. You lock up your seed easily but then get ice water poured on you once you see the more battle hardened teams in October

White Sox Winner: feel better Bassit!
so 7 out of the last 20 WS teams had .500 or worse records vs winning teams, not exactly a promising statistic. Maybe if it was 10/20.

White Sox Winner: feel better Bassit!
prone to more injuries? or just a personal opinion?

White Sox Winner: feel better Bassit!
if anybody was wondering about Chris Bassitt, the latest afaik is that his eye is fine and the ball seemed to hit him on the cheek bone, he got stitches but there isn't any news on whether there was a fracture or not

I think Seby is more of a stolen base threat than Moncada ?

08/16 Game Thread: Oakland Athletics at Sox 7:10 ESPN/CSN
Keuchel post game: "I told Seby, 'Look bro, don't let me throw ANY pitches' and he looked at me like I was crazy, but I was serious. But he kept putting down signs."
