4/27 - SOX vs. BAL, 1:05 CT, CSN
i'd rather see alexei at 2B everyday instead of uribe, the drop in defense probably wouldn't be that huge, and alexei actually shows patience at the plate, that's just me though. alexei needs regular at bats, either up here or in AAA, sitting on the bench is a waste.

i wouldn't mind seeing carlos hit 3rd for a while, even though he's a righty, move thome to #4 carlos sees a lot of pitches, hits for power obviously, and has a nice OBP edit: carlos single, lol, this kid is a god damn stud.

paulie hit that one on the screws, didn't miss a stitch ...as farmio would say. 1-0, and 0 outs. i can't remember the last time we scored a run with 0 outs before today.

bad at-bat for jim there, that pitch was way too close to just sit and take in a 2-2 count

Carlos Quentin
Imagine if the Dbacks had Quentin somewhere in the outfield on THAT team right now, not that they could really squeeze him in, though I'm not familiar with their other OF after Upton & Young

Carlos Quentin
After tonight's game, I had to start a thread about this kid and how well he's played so far this year. I was listening to the post-game and Rongey made a comment a few minutes ago about an at-bat CQ had earlier in the game (I wasn't home, wasn't able to see it myself) where Quentin recognized a pitch and changed his approach mid-swing and dumped the ball into left field. You never see guys do this in our lineup, this guy is going to be something special. Seriously special, he reached base 4 times tonight. He's not getting much mention locally or nationally really, beyond this board. He's going to surprise a lot of people. He's the kind of hitter IMO that, even when the book on him gets out, he's a very talented, intelligent baseball player and will make the necessary adjustments in order to have very many successful seasons, hopefully all in LF for the sox.

what i'd like to see is: Ehren come up, BA in CF for the next 2-3 games, Swish at 1st, Paulie and Thome alternating at DH (Jim, Jim, Paul), Dye in RF, Ozuna at 2B for the next 3 games i can dream can't i?
-
MacDougal optioned to Charlotte
Ehren's #'s so far this year in AAA: 7.2IP, 10K's, WHIP: 0.39, ERA: 0.00 lol

Thome’s in the 500 Club, but Maybe Not in THE Club
I'm glad the Sox are giving Thome his PA's, I wouldn't mind seeing him again next year in a Sox uniform
-
THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
konerko needs to sit for a game or two. not for a prolonged period of time, but give BA a couple more games to play after tonight's game to see if he can build off tonight

MacDougal optioned to Charlotte
Per the score, at 10:02pm during the post-game show.

this guy can probably go 3 innings or more with that nice 67mph slider, just enough time to let the O's strike first. uribe = instant out also, every time

4/26 Doubleheader Thread: Sox vs Orioles CSN, WGN
the similarities are unreal, even with it being early also, we seem to need about 6 outs per inning to score a run, even when we get the first TWO, let me repeat that... TWO, hitters on base with 0 outs. Pathetic seriously

This is seriously 2007 part II.

2-0 orioles, that's game. Hell will freeze over before we score 2 runs off this no-name lefty. Unreal.
