  1. If Grifol is fired this year: The Sox will have had (including interim) 6 managers since 2011, this includes whoever replaces Grifol assuming he's fired in 2024.
  2. Grifol's time is short. 8th shutout in 22 games 2003 Tigers vs 2024 White Sox 3-19 vs 3-19 43-112 (-69 RD) vs 45-123 (-78 RD) 6 Shut Outs vs 8 Shut Outs
  3. i think it's more that they're just not driven or prepared to win games. you can tell their heads are not 100% focused on the task at hand, whether it's on defense or in the box. the pitching has been a combination of lack of talent, and kids pitching with the fear of god scared into them
  4. I'm going to guess Grifol is canned if they hit 10 or 11 SHO in the next 3-4 wks.
  5. Ball just clicks off Sheets bat lately, the f*** is wrong with these fools
  6. Cannon isn't any better than a #5 on an average team, dude just throws slop and that's it,
  7. LOL at being so delusional that you think any team would walk your talentless ass
  8. doubt the 8th shutout of the year would shock anyone
  9. yeah i know about the cowley report, we don't know how true it is (we know he should've been fired, but we don't know if Jerry said it) it took a catastrophic season to get Hahn and KW fired, you don't think the same couldn't happen to a no-name manager with zero reputation? come on, anyone got venmo/cashapp? i'll put some money down on this s%*#, he's getting fired before the season is over
  10. 2024 draft is 5th 2025 draft is 10th
  11. For comparison, the 03 Tigers were 20-61 after 81 games
  12. 2003 Tigers vs 2024 White Sox (after 21 games) Tigers 2-19, Sox 3-18 Tigers Run Diff: -67, Sox Run Diff: -71 Tigers RS/RA: 41/108, Sox RS/RA: 45-116 Tigers SHO: 6 times, Sox SHO: 7 times
  13. there's no chance the Sox go with some internal dude who's never managed at the big league level. that's just too much of a risk, they're gonna try to find a veteran former manager who's willing to take on this dumpster fire. a rookie manager (if you've never managed at the MLB level, you'd be a rookie) might turn out almost exactly the same as Grifol, lights too bright, can't handle the media scrutiny, and end up being way over their head i've always been against bringing back Ozzie but as average/below average he was at X's and O's, his personality might be exactly what they need right now, if even just for a year
  14. forgive my ignorance but do minor league teams scout their opponents to get the advantage in games the same as major league clubs do?
  15. just checked the box score, never seen a team this bad in my entire 30 years of watching baseball my go to Sox YouTube channels have all pretty much stopped uploading content
  16. nah, they can't keep him on all season and then blame him for the shitty season. makes no sense. we knew 5 games in that he was over matched. people will wanna know why they didn't fire him much sooner there's been too much smoke to ignore the fact that his days are numbered, he won't make it to the ASB unless the team just collectively figures it out
  17. whole team has tuned out their manager 19 games into the season
  18. I see Crochet laid another egg, guess we jumped the gun a bit
  19. 7-1 Phillies is my prediction (yes I know Crochet is pitching)
