QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) That's how I ended up in the Houston area for a few years as a kid. Damn I miss it down there.... If only they had Chicago's financial markets down there, I would move in a heartbeat. Well everything is cheaper down here.. Costs 5.50 to go to the movies.. compared to the $10 I had to pay when I was up visiting family

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 07:08 AM) Its basically a clearing company. You pay them, and then they send your payment to the other person. That way only paypal has to see your personal info. I love it personally. It makes for instant payments instead of worrying about sending stuff in the mail. OK I think paying by PayPal would be easiest for me

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) EDIT: Hey, MoS, what did Knuckle do to get banned? Come to think of it, it has been Knuckle-free lately hasn't it. Banning a 4 year old...shame on you. I dont know what he did but its my job to make fun of him

QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) Good thing I moved to Austin...I'm feel better amongst my people. Either just a smidge above average or people who don't apply ourselves enough for an A. haha yeah... I thought we moved from Chicago to Houston for my dads job.. Turned out they just needed to get me where I belonged

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 12:35 PM) That's the beauty of the internet. Plenty of real estate and plenty of sites for everyone. If a person can't find a site that reflects their views, they aren't trying too hard. This one is what it is and it seems to be working for most people. What do you miss most about College Station? What the? Who is in college station? I was just there the other night for a Par Tay

QUOTE(Confederate_48 @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) IGN Sports: One thing we're just finding about is Take Two's potential deal to get the exclusive MLB license. Does that mean the end to EA making baseball games? Frank Gibeau: We're going to have an announcement about this shortly. This is the way business works. It's a pretty exciting time in the sports category. It's interesting because it has flown under the radar for so long from the leagues and the partners, and the business has just gotten so big, games are bigger than box office now, that people are paying attention to it. The business is changing. That's just a simple fact and you have to adjust to it. The days of when this was a fun, cottage industry are pretty much gone, unfortunately. EA makes the best sports games.. If they lost out on making baseball games I would be very unhappy

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) They just need a running back and a little better system. Heck, AJ Feeley didn't even look too bad late in the season, although I still think they'll look for a QB as well. MOS, you think there is any truth to that rumor that Booker might get waived? Not a chance Jas.. If anyone is going to be waived/cut it will be David Boston.. Booker has a VERY friendly contract and is locked up for a while still.. You can bet that Miami is going to get one of Travis Henry, Edgerrin James, Shaun Alexander, Lamont Jordan, or Rudi Johnson.. All of those guys have expressed intrest in coming to Miami, all will be FA pending a franchise tag.. except Henry who wants a trade but in case anyone didnt see that he said he wants to go to Miami, but its up to the Bills where they send him, he has no control over that.. Feeley did look much improved at years end, and thats because they fired that goon "porn stache" wanny Now with Saban in the mix, and also in case you didnt know Miami is almost at a done deal with the Vikings Offensive Coordinator, they are going to be a much improved team.. No more of the traditional wanny RUN RUN PASS PUNT offense.. No more neglecting Chris Chambers and his ability to go deep (I think I saw them throw the deep ball maybe 3 times all year) HENCE AJ Feeleys season long completion of 38 yards Taking a RB at #2 just doesnt make sense to me since it rarely happens.. RB's just dont go that high in the draft, so I feel Miami is sitting in VERY good posistion for next year.. anyways.. no I do not think Booker will be waived.. sorry for the Dolphins rant, but I do love my Phins

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) And MoS...Garland is in my top 5 for sure. See I knew I wasnt the only one..
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 08:23 AM) I am also drinking some Garland Flavor-Aid and believing he's #3 by season end.
-
No love for Garland?
-
P.S. these rumors are NOT coming from the Vikings, they are from the sports writers in Minnesota SAYING they wouldnt be surprised if it happens.. So dont think Minnesota is looking into this, as of right now its just what sports writers are saying and NOT what the Vikings are saying.. I already read the article on this on the dolphins web page, its just sports writers finding something to write about..

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:06 PM) I also wouldn't doubt Miami taking a look at Moss... they need a big time reciever and have a solid defense thats getting older... they may be able to deal...JMO WTF!?! hello...... Chris Chambers, Marty Booker, David Boston.. Thats 3 #1's right there ide take 3 #1's over 1 superstar anyday

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) You are horrible. :headshake He gave up ten runs against the phillies on june 9th. that was more than 8 last time I looked, but I did fail Algebra and Contreras pitched a few good games, as did Jon, but Contreras was horrible for a while there, at least Jon was consistant..
-
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) But spring training is so far away! I just can't believe there are some people here who are willing to put Garland ahead of Contreras, or would be unwilling to trade Garland for Randy Johnson or Javier Vazquez. I cant believe there are some people that wanna put Contreras ahead of Garland... two can play this game suckah
