QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 11:39 AM) Of course there are racist people in the south, but we don't hold a monopoly on racism. Race relations are a problem everywhere, even in Palos Heights. I imagine being a black man is as difficult in Green Bay, Fargo, and Salt Lake City as it is in any southern town. Yeah I didnt mean it to sound like we are the most racist place in the world I was just saying that it came off that everyone was offended by what he said like racism in the south is unheard of.. My bad if i caused confusion

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) To single out the south as being more or less racist is ignorant at best and insulting at worst. The guy has just a good of chance getting a job in Boston or Chicago as Houston or Atlanta. Yes I agree with you on that part that it is unsulting to southerners, I was just saying that there are quite a few racist people in the south.. I wasnt trying to make what he said right, I was just saying that its there

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 12:43 AM) Guarantee this won't stop him from finding another position somewhere in the South. Although that wasnt the smartest of statements I dont think some of you should be bashing him.. because hes prolly right. While not everyone down here is racist to simply deny the fact that MANY are is pointless.. I have a ton of friends that are racists, and pretty much just because they are from the south. I dont agree with his comment but you have to realize that in a way he is right

I thought they wanted to move him

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) The top 16 runningbacks as of Janurary 12. This list, perhaps more than any other position ranking, will change drastically during and after combines. 1. Cedric Benson TEXAS- Cedric leads that group of what I consider one of the best runningback classes in the past 7 years. Benson has great size at 6'0 220, and gamebreaking capability. Although his character issues make him a bit of a draft-day risk, Benson's talent should outweigh all of those issues; far and away the best runningback of 2005. 4.5 40 Time. 2. Carnell Williams AUBURN- Carnell is quite possibly the best overall athlete in the 2005 draft class. Carnell is an extremely balanced runner that uses his speed and athletic ability to make big plays; some NFL scouts question is small size at 5'11, 205, as well as his hands, but very few question his potential impact in the NFL. 3. Ciatrick Fason FLORIDA- Declaring after a monstrous junior campaign, Ciatrick has passed Ronnie Brown in terms of this year's RB ranking. Ciatrick has fantastic speed (4.4 40 Time) and good size at 6'0, 215. Although I wish he remained in Gainesville for his senior year, Fason should produce very quickly in the NFL, despite his need to mature as a runner. 4. Frank Gore MIAMI- Here's my boy. Gore, one of the most unlucky players while at Miami, was considered the best RB at his age coming out of high school. This season, Gore battled back from serious injury to put up stunning numbers. If he didn't get hurt in 2001, Miami halfbacks Willis McGahee and Clinton Portis would never have gotten the opportunities they had. Had he stayed healthy, Gore could have been the number one RB in the draft. He will make a team very, very happy one day; Frank can be the steal of the draft, going somewhere in the second round. 5. Ronnie Brown AUBURN- Part of the two-headed monster, Brown was a large part of the Tiger's success in 2004. What makes Brown so dangerous is his abilty to play like a small back at 6'1, 225. Believe it or not, Brown is one of the fastest players in the draft. Brown can overpower you up the gut, then cut outside and become a first-class play maker. Playing behind Carnell may land Brown a later pick in the first round. 6. Vernand Morency OK ST 7. T.A. McLendon NC ST 8. J.J. Arrington CAL 9. Kay-Jay Harris WVU 10. Walter Reyes SYR 11. Ryan Moats LA TECH (*Sleeper*) 12. Anthony Davis WIS (Amazing Speed) 13. Darren Sproles (Little Darren, 5'7, 185) 14. Cedric Houston TEN 15. Marion Barber MIN 16. Maurice Clarett OHIO ST Thats a pretty good list, but Ronnie Brown will get picked up before Fason and possibly Cadillac unless something drastic happens at the combines.. Brown can not only run, but he can catch and block.. He is the most well rounded back in the draft at the RB posistion this year and if Cedric wasnt such a bruiser he could even go before him, but I doubt that.. Also, how dare you leave DeAngelo Williams off the list.. And Frank Gore may not be taken until the 3rd-4th round.. yes he has amazing potential, but I dont see too many teams taking a high pick on a guy who has had major surgery on both knees.. He would be a very ricky pick that high.. with that being said here is the official MAN OF STEEL LIST.. 1. Cedric Benson TEXAS 2. Ronnie Brown AUB 3. Cadillac Williams AUB 4. Ciatrick Fason FL 5. DeAngelo Williams MEMPHIS 6. Vernand Morency OK ST 7. J.J. Arrington CAL 8. T.A. McLendon NC ST 9. Marion Barber MIN 10. Anthony Davis WIS 11. Frank Gore THE U BABY 12. Kay-Jay Harris WVU 13. Cedric Houston TEN 14. Ryan Moats LA TECH 15. Walter Reyes SYR 16. Darren Sproles K ST Darren is my boy, but he is too small to be an every down NFL back IMO, he could be a very solid 3rd down back and kick returner tho..

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) i think the best qb out of the draft will be either jason cambell or alex smith. jason white isnt going to be good same with rodgers i like mike williams as one of the best receivers alongside edwards Leinart and Rodgers are the two best QB's in the draft followed by Alex Smith, Orlovski, Walter, and Orton in terms of Pro Quarterbacks Adrian McPherson and Jason Campbell might be 3rd round QB's.. McPherson has a ton of potential White and Greene are just those types of QB's who can dominate the college ranks but would not be NFL type Quarterbacks
-
QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 10:26 AM) heres my rankings: 1. matt leinart 2. Alex Smith 3. jason cambell 4. aaron rodgers 5. stefan leflors 6. jason white 7. david greene 8. charlie frye 9. andrew walter 10. kyle orton Frye, Walter, and Orton will all go before White and Greene

QUOTE(backman @ Jan 11, 2005 -> 06:19 PM) whats wrong with jason white, he may have a little trouble winning the big game, but so what, lots of season verterans in the nfl still have trouble winning when it matters. jason white has the numbers and the potential to be a top draft choice. oh wow.. you think White is gonna get DRAFTED!?!?! come on, the guy has 2 bum knees and plays in a wide open offense.. ever hear of Josh Huepel?.. He was another OU QB who had great numbers and was like second in the Heisman, he got drafted.... in the 7th round and then got cut.. Im sorry, but White will most likely not be drafted..

looks like I am the only one who voted yes, and not certain.. I love the ignore feature so I can ignore all the ass clowns I dont like on this board, but even when they are ignored it still tells me they are on the site and when they post it shows they posted and just says "you have chose to ignore this user" Why cant it just make them gone so I dont have to see anything? Thats the only problem I got with this thing..

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Please don't start a fight with me right now, not in the mood. I have the right to have my opinions. Can't help that they don't happen to agree with the majority of the board right now. um sure... wasnt starting a fight just simply stating he didnt do anything wrong so you haters need to get off him.. no props, didnt rip down signs, didnt even use anyone else...

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 06:18 PM) At this point I don't care, I just think Randy Moss as a human is a piece of trash. Im sure him and his millions of dollars care about that

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) I am sure you'd be saying the same thing if Green or any member of the Pack did something like that. :rolly I would, he didnt do anything wrong... get over it

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) I went to my girlfriends house and her sister was watching this god awful movie starring Hilary Duff. The girl just can't act a bit. I only saw like 5 mins of it and it made me want to kill himself. Hilary Duff SUCKS! I just had to vent that somewhere. HA I have a 17 yr old sister and a 7 year old sister and believe me I have been around that s*** for YEARS
