  1. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) I just hope we lives up to the hype. Just ask Jon Garland and Willie Harris what happens when you don't live up to Sox fans expectations right away. Hopefully he has some thick skin. Exactly I hope Willie out performs Iguchi in Spring Training and shuts some people up
  2. Not too impressed with the choices so I had to go with not another poll
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) Well if you're going to include a team like Georgetown.. I guess I should mention that Oral Roberts is (14-4) What do you mean "a team like Georgetown" they are 5 - 2 in the Big East.. who does Oral Roberst play?? Centenary?? Northern Colorado?? please
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) It has a lot to do with the bad teams they play too. That nuetralizes the really good teams. Yeah I know but my main point was that most of the teams we played BEAT the teams that they played..
  5. EA games f***in PWN and if you dont agree with me I will fight you..
  6. I also dont see why TY insists that IU played such a more difficult schedule than Illinois this year.. Illinois Wake Forrest (16 - 2) Gonzaga (14 - 4) Cincinatti (15 - 3) Arkansas (14 - 5) Oregon (11 - 5) Missouri (10 - 9) Georgetown (13 - 5) Indiana UNC (16 - 2) UConn (12 - 4) Notre Dame (12 - 5) Kentucky (15 - 2) Charlotte (14 - 3) Missouri (10 - 9) Based on that IU may have played a SLIGHTLY more difficult schedule, but Wake Forrest beat UNC and Cincy hammered Charlotte, Georgetown also beat ND.. so technically we played the better of the teams as of right now.. Just want to throw this out there because I am sick of hearing He Gawn make excuse after excuse about IU.. but I can understand why, its his favorite team
  7. OK well you may not "suck" but 9-8 is nothing special..
  8. I hope Willie beats him out in Spring Training
  9. Does anyone know anywhere to SELL cards?? I have a s*** load of cards from players and stuff and really no place for them.. I have an Ozzie Guillen autographed card and a Dan Marino autographed card (that one wont ever be sold) and an Aaron Glenn autographed Texans jersey and a few Bobby Taylor autographed things like 2 hats and a card plus like 20 Ken Griffey JR cards and a few Frank Thomas Im sure they are worth at least a dollar, but yet I know nowhere where they can be sold..
  10. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) I go to IU and love Indiana basketball, so just be careful.... Hey theres nothing wrong with me making fun of IU, especially since they suck this year.. Ive had to take crap about the Phins all season, its just He Gawn that we seem to have the trouble with
  11. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 11:39 AM) I'm sorry...I had to.... haha but thats not the same.. He Gawn doesnt do anything but b**** about Indiana being so good and all this and when we call him out on it he starts bringing up stuff from the 70's when everyone was b****ing at me when I tried to defend the Dolphins I didnt say "1972 baby, Undefeated Season" you asked why I like the Dolphins I gave you my reason
  12. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) How did all you guys get into the Dolphins? besides the fact that they are the all time win % franchise in sports history in ALL sports (im no sure if they are right now but they were recently) and Dan Marino, the greatest QB of all time.. I played QB when I was younger and Dan Marino was the man, I have been a die hard Dolphins fan my whole life... The Dolphins are light years ahead of the Sox on my favorite teams but the Sox are light years ahead of all my others too... since I didnt answer my list completely I shall redo it.. Dolphins - - - - - - - - - White Sox - - - - Illini (Football/Basketball) - - Kansas State (Football) - Avalanche - - Astros/Texans - - Rockets/Bears/Bulls - - Ohio State/Texas/Florida/Minnestoa/Florida State/Wisconsin (College Football) - Packers/Vikes - Panthers/Ravens NOTE: I listed some teams that I like but the MAIN ones are Dolphins,White Sox, Illini, Bears/Bulls, Avalanche, Kansas State, and the Houston Teams
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 07:23 PM) In terms of seeding I think you have to go Illinois, Duke, BC, and then Wake over NC because they won head to head. 1. Illinois 2. Duke 3. KU 4. Wake that would be my 4
  14. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 07:19 PM) I don't think it was ever down really, if everyone got their head out of the ACC's ass, they'd realize that perhaps the best ball in the land is played in the Big 10. I think its clear the ACC owns the Big 10 but I do agree the Big 10 doesnt get enough credit
  15. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) Thought so. We'll see what the spread is first. 16 may be a stretch indeed, as I envision a close game, especially at the Bres. haha AT MSU 16 is a stretch... I only say that because my friend likes to IM with "MSU by 16" and sign off before I can respond... I imagine the spread will be Illinois by 4-7
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 07:06 PM) Okay, enough about that. You going to wager or not? Ehh... 16 may be a strecth because I only said that because of my friend, but if you wanna go spread with it im down
  17. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 07:00 PM) You don't care because they haven't done s*** in the past. That's fairly easy to determine. No, I dont care because the past is done... Were not gonna win any titles in the past, but we could this year, and thats all Im worried about..
  18. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 06:53 PM) I said the same thing when they talk s*** about IU. They say dont live in the past. because I dont care about what happened in the past, RIGHT NOW were #1 and we have passed all challenges so far... smashed Wake, beat Wiscy AT Wiscy Im not saying they are going undefeated... but everyone talking bout their teams "past" accomplishments are usually the teams that are sorry right now 20 - 0 #1 (Carl brushes off Illinois' shoulder)
  19. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) By the way, care to lay some action on that game and give me the 16 or were you just talk? what did you have in mind
  20. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) Jeff Burton and Ricky Rudd in no particular order. NASCAR is not a sport
  21. hahahaha thats great Ive seen random planes crash before AND when I was doing the flight school I was flying through the rings and another plane hit me and I failed
  22. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) UW was leading by 8 with 10 to go just like Badgers said. The most UofI was down this whole season was 9 to my Boilermakers, but we totally suck. UW has major talent. You have your opponents down by one point less than a season high halfway through the second half on your home court....you have to put that game away. Your second sentence is almost fact. You're right about UW not dominating. But they were leading and did lose it in the final minutes. They should have won. Im sorry but 8 point lead with 10 minutes left is nothing that cant be over come.. UW does not have major talent, and have nowhere near the talent that Illinois has.. and Illinois was up one with 3:39 left, I wouldnt exactly call that the end of the game..
  24. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) Please just shutup already. Come out of the woodwork? Should have won? Don't buy the hype? Why don't you worry about your badgers. Sour grapes at this point. Just give it up. See Badger, im not the only one
  25. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 26, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) Man of steel, Yeah Id call it panic when people like Head are drinving the line throwing behind the back passes out of bounds. You want to live in your delusional world where Illinois was at all times in command, go ahead. nah didnt say they were at all times in command, but for most of the game, yes they were in command.. Whenever Wisconsin went on a little streak Illinois was right there to answer it, your little 8 point lead with 10 minutes left is just ridiculous... 8 points can be shaven down to 2 within LESS than a minute
