  1. Just to clear a few things up, I know that the Iraq war would have no effect on us, but say something like a World War III, that could have some serious effects. If WWIII breaks out, I'll be ready to go to fight for my country. That's basically what I said. I nowhere mentioned agreeing to a draft for the current war, although I seemed to have misunderstood the original purpose of the topic, I took it as, "should there ever be a draft, ever again?", and said yes. Should there be a draft right now for the war in Iraq? No. But, if this does somehow break into something big scale, with lots of world powers becoming involved, then yes, start it up. Sorry for the misunderstanding, Flash, but in my whole posts I meant something more larger scale then the Iraqi War, something that could be a threat to our homeland.
  2. Nextel is by far the best. It is a bit more pricy, but FAR more worth it. The USA-wide walkie-talkie feature, which is extremely fast, and FREE, is awesome. I could talk to my friends in other states for nothing. Rarely do I even use the phone part of my Nextel, just the walkie talkie.
  3. Yeah I was just trying to think of a spur the moment country that always pretty much kept to themselves during wars. Switzerland came to mind first. But, as you said, since Switzerland has little involvement in wars, having to serve in their reserve should be no big deal.
  4. Do I need reasons? I didn't think so, but if you want them- fine. I consider it a privelage to live in the US. If the US needs fighters to keep the US as great as it is, take them!!! If it means I must put my life on the line to keep this country great, so be it! I don't want the lives of my family being tortured by anyone if we would lose a war. Since I consider it a privelage to live here, I think sometimes we need to give something back. If the US gets into trouble with another country, and need our help, they should be able to recieve it, in this case, a draft. People say they don't want their Freedom of Choice infiltrated, well, if you don't like the draft so much, move to Switzerland or something, where there are few wars. It's your choice to- you can. But I'd still rather live in this great country.
  5. Yes, yes it should. And remember, this is coming from a 16 year old.

Willie, I'm gonna be blatantly serious with you. If you had indeed asked her for an e-mail or an AIM address, all of your conversations over the internet would start out great. You'd learn more about her, and she'd learn more about you. Then, they would start diminishing, and sometimes, to replenish conversation, sometimes arguments or debates occur, over petty, stupid things. Eventually there would be times where you see her on your buddy list, and see if she says anything first, but nothing comes, so you IM her, thinking she's probably doing homework or something. You guys say "Hi" to each other, you might try to strike a conversation with some sort of topic, and a reply would come 3 minutes later. There is so much more I could add. I guess the bottomline is, it wouldn't have worked out. You both are too young. Now, if you guys meet again at the age of 21 or so, things could definately work out. You'd probably be more depressed in 2 months than you are now if you had kept in touch with her, if you still cling to her at that time. Now, about this quitting drinking business. I suppose you're going to have a lot of fun watching Times Square by yourself on New Years Eve in your 20s, while EVERYONE you know is drinking, partying, and having a good time. Rarely do you want to be the only sober one at the party, and being a designated driver must be a huge pain in the ass. What about your birthdays too? Your friends are gonna want to take you to a strip club and drink some booze, and you'll say no to them? What would they think of you then, as the biggest wimp they've ever known. Do what you want, but you may regret never drinking again. I'm sorry if I seemed a bit fierce in my post, but I had to say this to you.
  7. winningugly, do you think you could give us the report on Ponson? Thanks.

  9. I can zip the two I have up and send them to you over AIM or something. You can also keep this scheme as the primary one, and have the people change the scheme they prefer in My Controls.

I've just acquired some nifty skins for Invision Power Board, if any of you are interested in using a different skin than this one. I've tried them out on another board, and one is quite beautiful, imo. Jason, drop me an PM or something if you're interested.

  16. I don't want to go back to school, but I must. I enjoyed my week up in Wisconsin, getting completely trashed on New Years and hanging with tons of chicks, and just having some all around fun. Oh well. Finals, here I come. :finger
  17. Smooth, if anyone cares, with marshmallow fluff, of course.
  18. Going to the dentist is no big deal, just an hour/hour and a half of some guy poking in your mouth and cleaning while you lay there and snooze. The only part I really dislike is how if you keep your mouth open too long your jaws get sore and stuff. Pain in the ass, erm, jaw.
  19. Assuming that was me, I'm sorry for not replying at any time, I was on vacation with no technology. I would talk about it now, but everythings been threshed over and over in this thread already, but I'm just assuming it, since it is 45 pages long. I also don't want to read every page.
  20. Maybe later*. *As in 5 years maybe.
