This thread seems to be slipping down, and I can't believe that nobody has mentioned that Northwestern has completed the SWEEP of Iowa with a 51-49 win. The Cats are 4th place in the Big Ten at 8-7!

Oklahoma State beats Texas 76-67. The fans rush the court. Does anybody else think that there has been way too much of rushing the court? It used to be a special occasion, now after every big win fans are rushing the court.

My friend, an Illinois fan (they grow on trees don't they?), is telling me that they aren't good because they lost to Northern Iowa. I tell him that upsets happen and it's hard to run the table in the MVC. I highly doubt that Illinois could go 18-0 in the MVC. It's just too damn hard to win that many games without either running into a hot team or having a bad game.

I've been watching. It's a very good game. Both teams are fighting hard, but Texas is struggling to keep up in the 2nd half.

I agree with the 1st part, but not the 2nd. Michigan St. will lose to the first good team they play, which will be in the 2nd round, if they even get past the first round. Wisconsin has been struggling lately and I doubt that they will do much in the tourney. Illinois looks the best of the 3, but they always find a way to lose in the tourney. None of these teams will make the elite 8, and maybe only 1 of them will even make the sweet 16.

The Big Ten hasn't been as good as the ACC is this year in a long time.

With Pickett gone after this year it's hard to see FSU being as good next season. Possibly after that they will continue to improve though.

Next year when they will have solid big men and depth they will be able to dominate a team like Illinois. I can't wait.

The thing I like about the 1st half for Northwestern is that Jitim Young didn't do much offensively, nor much of anything at all for that matter, and the 'Cats are in the game. If Jitim steps it up, look out Illinois.

Agreed. I was saying this before this game. This reassures what I was thinking. Of course it all depends on their draw, but I really don't see them doing much damage.

Meanwhile Roger Mason Jr. is playing well in Toronto with VC and Alvin Williams hurt. This is a perfect example of all the clutter on the Bulls. They have too many young guys that haven't been given a chance to show what they can do. When these guys go somewhere else they play well. Crawford is going to turn into a star when he leaves. He has been given a chance, but I think the coaching or the system is screwing with him. He needs a new setting.

I'm pumped up for this game. It should be a good one. I don't expect NU to pull it out and all the Illinois fans at school are saying NU has no chance....but that's what they said last time.

If Rivers is available, which is questionable depending on possible trades, he should go to Miami. Do I think they will take him? No.
