  1. Beat the 1st place team this week! That was huge heading to the playoffs. The race is tight.
  2. That works out perfectly. Just don't be surprised if I try to draft Jameer Nelson or Jitim Young because I'm going to be watching a s***load of college basketball that weekend.
  3. I don't know how many holds top relievers get, but I am more than in favor of holds. That works out. Also adding Ks and IP is fine with me. I could live without Ks because I feel that it then becomes difficult to win both HRs and Ks, but their isn't an entirely direct relationship between the 2 so it's ok in my book. My big thing with categorical leagues is, esp. in basketball, when you have a category for minutes/games played/games started and have a category for fouls or turnovers. Obviously when you have a lot of guys playing you are going to get more fouls and turnovers. For example, in the Soxtalk bball league (or one of them at least) I am first in games played and started and last in fouls and turnovers. You can't tell me that's coincidence. Anyway, I just want us to avoid stuff like that. The categories seem good. In other words, I basically wanted to whine about the screw job I'm getting in that bball league and make sure it doesn't happen here.
  4. That's 2 people who have thought I'm out of college in the last couple days. I must be really mature or something. The thing about Livingston is that he is the tallest player on the court, as well as the best. It's a very similar comparison to Magic, and Magic pulled it off.
  5. If you put Jason Kidd against high school players he can play at the center spot without question. Besides Livingston has the height to go with the skills. Oh and I'm not an Illinois fan so why should I care where he goes? As a Northwestern fan I'm happy he didn't go to U of I.
  6. If Livingston is the best or 2nd best player in the country, it shouldn't matter who he's gaurding or what position he is playing. He should still be the best player on the court. I didn't see the game, so I can't tell if he was or not, but from the sounds of the article he wasn't.
  7. I'm an NU fan. Personally I think it's a legitimate reason because I've been in leagues where the teams with the best catchers always win. The season is less interesting once you realize the teams are less seperated. Majority should still rule, but I made my case.
  8. Yeah I know. I had the same reaction when Western Michigan beat College of Charleston. It's just weak sauce.
  9. I'm staying up to watch SIU vs. Hawai'i and I'm enjoying this game. Both teams are surprisingly good. I've seen SIU a couple times before this year and they looked good, but not great. Their D is so tough that they could be a major force against some top teams. On the other hand Hawai'i is a good team. They have come into SIU with a great atmosphere and have played with them every step of the way. This is quality basketball.

Yes. I can't wait to see it myself. I gotta find a way to get in the theatre to see it.
  11. From the trib's website: When I saw Livingston in the state championship game, he didn't stand out. He struggled tonight. Perhaps he is a choke.
  12. I'm 16. I haven't gone to any college yet.
  13. I'm a bit upset that it's not on tv. I would have liked to have gone, but oh well. Be sure to watch for Brandon Lee, the NU signee. He is supposed to really have improved his game.
  14. I hear that man. My biggest advantage is that I watch almost all of the conference tournament finals so I get a better feel of the possible upsets. I always do well in the 1st round, but falter after that. I'm overdue for a good year the whole way through.
  15. The M didn't work for some reason. I knew the answer and I typed it like 5 different ways, but it would give it to me. After that I gave up for fear of the thing not working.
  16. Their guards are still good, but they've had better, more consistent guards in recent years.
  17. That's not my point. My point is that the teams won't be as balanced.
  18. That's been the question mark with them in my mind. Their guard play hasn't been as it has been in previous years. To me that spells early round defeat in the tourney, but if they get hot, it spells final four. You gotta love the tourney baby!
  19. Yeah, we really don't need clues.
