QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 19, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) 5 hours of interviewing makes for a long day. What the hell are you interviewing for anyway?

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 10:57 PM) Would anyone consider a well paying job in your field but going outside of continental USA, precisely to Afghanistan? (Hence why really well paying job) My father-in-law did that back in the fall of 2006 through the fall of 2007. Got paid over $100,000. He brought back video, crazy s**t. Bombs exploding on the road as they're driving down it. F**ked him up.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 13, 2012 -> 12:17 PM) Parks and Rec news - Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut) is Ben's dad! link That's fantastic news! A TV world without Jonathan Banks is a world I don't want to live in.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 09:40 AM) There you go. Way better than Lauren Shehadi, don't know what your love with her is! Lauren Shehadi is gorgeous. Rizzo's got the T, Shehadi has the A and the legs and the hair and the honey sweet voice and those eyes...

I was 20, living in Ogden, Utah and working for Simmons Media in Salt Lake City as a DJ on the modern rock station as well as other tasks. I'd usually leave the TV on in my studio apartment on MSNBC all night. I got a call from my Mom that woke me up. The first building had already fallen down. I was groggy, but I saw on the TV the shot of the remaining tower, just before the plane flew into it. Everybody knows the rest. I was called into work that day and spent the rest of the week watching and listening to CNN being simulcast on our radio stations. My girlfriend at the time was more upset that she wasn't going to get to go to Disney World instead of the 2,000 plus people who had died. I broke up with her immature ass a year later.

I mean, both of your handles start with an S, you have the same avatar and the same Flapship logo in your sig. It's like a message board Dutch Rudder up in here.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 11:18 PM) We definitely shouldnt post 4 times in a row that just makes it seem like I have multiple personalities. Exactly.

You two can't have the same f***ing avatar, it's confusing.

If you haven't seen "Luther," I recommend it highly.

Charlotte's problem has more to do with location. They always have attendance issues because they play 40 miles south of Charlotte in Fort Mill, SC. Which is in the middle of nowhere. Thus why they're trying to get a stadium built in downtown Charlotte.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 11:00 AM) I live in Orem, Utah just minutes from Utah Valley U. where the Orem Owlz (Angels affiliate) of the Pioneer League play. I really look forward to the Voyagers playing here every summer. Also, I'm not too far from Salt Lake where I can see Pacific Coast League games. This spring I saw Mike Trout play just before he got called up. Holy crap he was impressive! You still live in Utah, which sucks 97% of the time. The 3% that doesn't is the baseball games, all the blonde women and the mountains.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 11:55 PM) WhiteSox.com top 20 prospects I find it hard to agree with the list, but it's good for discussion and reading material. Molina's way too high. Petricka needs some refinement. Saladino needs to work on his fielding.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 10:53 PM) Seriously. Can anyone figure out what that ball is doing? Maybe the ball got caught in the flagpole rope.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 12:44 AM) One of the "big four", of which Slayer was/is the best and Metallica was/is the most succesful. Not too many bands around that find the grass greener (or even as green) on the other side of the fence following a change in lead singers- six times in their case. To be fair, they're pretty much divided into the Joey era and the John era. If you enjoy them though, check out S.O.D. - a side project Scott Ian's and Charlie Benante's. I stopped following that genre of music years ago (apart from Slayer, inexplicably), but they reunited with Joey Belladona- lead singer during their so called "classic era", and the album they released seems to be going over well with their fans. Yeah, "Worship Music" is awesome.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 07:14 AM) I've been a fan since I was younger and following games just before college (got a signed Jeremy Reed baseball when I was younger). I personally know a few guys who are in other affiliates playing and one currently in our system.. well.. acquaintance (Dan Black) and others I've watch on TV. It hasn't been the same for me in the prospect discussing world for quite some time since I have more of a life now () but every now and then, I'll check out an up and comming prospect before the draft and still regularly follow our affiliate. Guys like Ozzie Ball, scenario, danman, Rex Hudler (when he was around), Cerb, Jason, dasox, daa84, palehosefan etc. are some of the guys I've (or seen here with others) discussed prospects with over the years. Guys like fathom, JPN, DBAH0 and Heads are great too. (though DBAH0 hasn't been the same since his boy Micah Schnurstein sucked and Heads with his Jack Egbert love affair. ) Micah Schnurstein was cool as hell though. He gave me one of his fielding gloves after a game. Not a cheap one either, it is an Akadema infielder's glove. So my man crush probably far outweighs DBAH0's.

It makes me mad that I'm only now discovering how good Anthrax is thanks to Sirius XM. I never heard a single song of theirs until last year and that pisses me off.

I use to have season tickets to the Birmingham Barons. But having a kid took priority over going to the games and now the team is moving 15 miles north of where they are now and back into one of the most dangerous cities in America. Plus, I check out milb.com, check the team rosters and transactions constantly, follow all of the relevant Twitter feeds and so on. Baseball America minor league transactions is also useful. Following player Twitter feeds has also become handy.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 03:18 PM) God, women take so long to get ready. It's a sushi dinner for christ's sake. Taking a long time to get ready while wearing only a towel is fun to watch.
