God help you, Steve... I honestly didn't think you had a d***, jokes on me. You have no idea how your life is about to change, s*** I was 29 when my son was born and whoa! That was a shock to the system. Honestly though, BE INVOLVED! Don't be one of those chauvinist a$$holes who thinks the woman has to do everything or whatever. I doubt you are, but just sayin'. Guys, what else does he need to know? I'm so exhausted, I've had my son at home all day.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 8, 2014 -> 11:43 AM) i cant wait for Steve's first gamethread "i was watching and my kids diaper literally just exploded on me" post. Watching sports as a parent... What's that?

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 10:42 PM) Did the NFL move their 8 road games to Seattle? Last year they were 7-1 at home and 6-2 on the road. They lost by a combined 15 points in those three games. Without Percy Harvin. He would've been good for 16 points. Seattle can win on the road, it's not the past anymore. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 5, 2014 -> 12:24 AM) I didn't see every snap closely, but I feel like a lot of the time he wasn't on Nelson, or was I just imagining that? I feel like you'd lock him on him the entire game, no? That has to be an odd feeling. You know you are good and affected the outcome, but you didn't really do that much, so to speak. They don't flip their corners. Sherman's on the left, Maxwell's on the right. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 10:00 PM) It doesn't bother me morally or anything, just saying that their defense seemed to have more positive tests than anyone else. Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond, Adderall, both gone. Richard Sherman appealed and won. That's it. Don't exaggerate. -
They should just change the name to the Tribe or Braves or something that's not offensive.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 04:33 PM) You know what happens when you jump to conclusions based on the preseason...you typically end up looking foolish. I'll go with their overall track record and level of talent. Niners have a tough schedule and injuries to overcome but I expect by the 2nd half of the season, they will be one of the best performing teams in the league. I do think the Seahawks are right now the best team in the NFC. Unfortunately, people pick and choose which teams they base the season outlook on from preseason results. People assume the Browns, Bills and Giants will struggle because of the preseason showing, but ignore how poorly the first team offense and defense of the 49ers played in preseason. -

QUOTE (Boogua @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 12:19 PM) Their first team offense looks like hell? Don't they return nearly everyone from last year while having a full year of Crabtree and adding Johnson? But it's not working. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 12:05 PM) LOL, I wish. I like the Muscle too, but I think the Niners have a really good team, injuries and suspensions aside. I don't even think most 49ers fans are that optimistic. Their secondary is a joke and their first team offense looks like hell. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 11:16 AM) What I've figured is people are going to complain about every announcer. By and large I think the football crews are the best in the biz and Aikman / Buck is a really good crew. However, the moose crew is my personal favorite. Darryl Johnson is brutal and kind of a smug pr***. Tony Siragusa, well all I can think of with him is diapers for men. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 10:04 AM) They went 12-4 in the toughest division in football last year. They're going to be missing a few defenders, but they were missing like half of their offensive weapons last year and still started 6-4 (with two of those losses being a 10-9 loss to Carolina and 23-20 to New Orleans in New Orleans), and then they went out and added more weapons on offense again. I think you're nuts. I have the 49ers winning the division. Don't post when you're drunk, Blake. Russell Wilson's about to go HAM on the NFL. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 09:29 AM) Every once in a while though, Aikman will come up with some real gems of analysis that I had never heard of. He at least stays away from the platitudes of "toughness" and the like. He' shockingly not bad or annoying. I think the thing I like about him is he seems honest. He calls a football game honestly if that makes sense. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 07:59 AM) Even with the losses on their defense, if Kaep can take a step forward now that he has a full season under his belt that's a team that has a lot of weapons on both sides of the ball. But yeah, there's always a team that takes big steps backwards and they fit the bill for that as well. Typical for the NFL of course, you really don't know where teams are until they play. Yeah, but they look like a sub .500 team, that can't be ignored. I can see them going 7-9 this year. -
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 07:28 AM) Because the Cowboys defense is horrendous. I wouldn't be surprised if they put up close to 40 this week. Ahhh, the Cowboys defense. Nevermind. The 49ers defense may give up 30 points themselves.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 3, 2014 -> 06:56 AM) Need to convince Madden to come back, and if he won't come back, then hire Frank Caliendo to do games as Madden. And if that doesn't work, hire Dick Vitale. Madden's locked up in a box in all leather and a ball gag in Brett Favre's basement. -

And why in the hell is everyone still on the 49ers junk? Are they deaf, dumb and blind? That jackass who writes Shutdown Corner for Yahoo had them ranked number 1 in his power rankings. Even 49ers fans were giving him sh**. A bunch of people on ESPN for their NFL picks selected them as their Super Bowl winner. WTF? -

The worst announcers are Michaels/Collinsworth and Nance/Simms. Michaels and Nance are such massive snobs and Collinsworth and Simms are sycophants for the most despised people and teams in the NFL. If I have to hear Michaels say "dubious," make a joke about "central casting" or slurp "Ben" again, I'm going to open up a f***ing vein. -
I don't understand all the love for the 49ers and Kaepernick. They're basically a dumpster fire right now, yet I'm seeing Kaepernick rated as high as the 4th best QB this week.

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Sep 1, 2014 -> 04:07 PM) Understatement. He flirted with that crazy b**** Mendoza all year. Can't imagine he'll get a callup - he really shouldn't be a part of any future plans unless/until he completely destroys AAA pitching in a third go-around. Likely a AAAA player when all is said and done, sadly. Trey Michawzxkqiuywxz has a bright future.
