QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 1, 2014 -> 02:04 PM) My dad's hoping for s6 of SOA on Netflix soon. Don't think they can put it up until the DVDs have been out a month. I think Netflix has already announced all the new stuff for September and SOA season 6 isn't on the list.

Still working on Sons Of Anarchy. Almost done with season 4. Pissed that Netflix isn't getting season 6 before season 7 starts airing. Missed most of the re-airings of the season 6 episodes on FX. Got the last three set to record on my DVR along with the new season. Had to download Quicktime files for the first 10 episodes of season 6 and loaded them on my iPad.

(Callback) Shouldn't have drafted a douchey middle infielder named Gordon.

I'm looking forward to seeing Sin City 2. I was a big fan of the comics as a teenager and I still have them.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 18, 2014 -> 10:24 PM) 14 Chevy Cruze with 15k miles for 14.5. I'm pleased. I even got up to walk out and suddenly they met my number.\ My wife and I have ridiculous credit scores. It's annoying that they fight you on everything. Yeah, idiots, I'm going to take 2.99% when the wife and I have 850 and 828 credit scores respectively. GMAFB. 850 and 828?! Holy sh**!!

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 17, 2014 -> 03:47 PM) So, I've been reluctant to purchase a car, because the wife and I are quite frugal with our cash. That said, it's time. The 99 Cavalier (her car since college) has seen better days, and the 04 Impala (our car since grandma couldn't drive anymore) needs to be moved into a "backup role". Ok, so I've read that incredibly useful "Confessions of a Used Car Salesman" in the past, and will probably re-read tonight. That said, I'm diving into this, and had some ideas I wanted to know if they'd actually work. The Impala is currently at Jerry Haggerty receiving repairs that will likely excited $1,500. I want to leave there with a car they have on their lot when I pick up the Impala tomorrow night. Would something like "knock the price of that repair off x vehicle and I'll drive home with it today" work? I've been taking both of my cars to this dealership anytime something went wrong for the past 5 years - would they care at all about this? The vehicle I want to take off the Haggerty Chevrolet lot is a Toyota. Financing? I plan to drop about $5k on this bad boy. Would taking Haggerty's rate (2.6% as of a few hours ago according to signs on their lot) be smart? Is this something I should demand be down at 0%? I don't know if that's how things work in the used "previously loved" arena. EDIT: I've realized I can request financing from a lender of my choosing. I can't think of anything else. I'm analytic by nature. I hate giving up on a car before it stops running, but we are thinking it's about time a director level person stop showing up to work in a 99 Cavalier. Any input would be truly valued. Your underlings will never respect you if your name is Steve and you drive a '99 Cavalier. A Toyota may only garner you a +1 respect level. Now, if you want to truly maximize the complete submission of your minions, I suggest a FIAT.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 07:31 AM) I've actually grown to kind of like Caleb, especially recently. Derrick has this house on lockdown. I just can't see anyone being smart enough to make a play for him. He just so smartly turned the ire of the house for almost finding out he's everyone's ally directly at blowhard Zach. This season. This is a season. God damn, Rachel Reilly is still so f***ably ugly/trainreckably. I'd tear her ass up. She wouldn't sh** right for a week.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 07:29 AM) Hopefully they f*** like bunnies and somehow Nicole winds up topless on my tv screen. Dem legs though... As much as I'd like to have them wrapped around my head, I wouldn't want to hear her orgasm.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 15, 2014 -> 06:15 AM) The day Caleb is evicted, I'll dance. That dude reminds me of some ass at the gym that acts all tough for no reason. Caleb's 5'5" on a good day. He can't afford to be an ass.

QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 14, 2014 -> 01:51 PM) Eh, comcast it's in the plus package. feels like I'm paying a lot more than that, but my wife gets DIY network soooo It's part of the CHOICE package from DirecTV. But, it's smart of SEC Network to charge more for it in the south because people here WILL pay it. I'm just not thrilled that my bill will be going up $1.40 just for one channel, but hey, at least they're going to show a lot of games. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 14, 2014 -> 09:12 AM) SEC network launches tonight, wooo. Enjoy that, it's only costing you a quarter a month on your cable bill. Inside SEC territory, it's going to run each cable subscriber $1.40 a month. -
QUOTE (The Gooch @ Aug 9, 2014 -> 12:57 PM) Comparing shows to the Shield really isn't fair. Shield is one of the greatest shows of all time imo. Sons is what it is. It's entertaining and fun to watch most of the time, but its not the caliber of something like The Shield or Breaking Bad. Not comparing it, just was expecting better writing from a former Shield writer. I guess Sutter was responsible for all the extreme, f***ed up sh** on The Shield.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 8, 2014 -> 03:26 PM) Maggie Siff is hot as f***. SoA season 1 rocked. It's been up and down since. The season where Gemma's dad is involved is trash. Still worth it. Yeah, that's the one I'm on.

So I started watching Sons Of Anarchy on Netflix. I'm a few episodes into season 3. Curious what any of you guys who've watched think (no spoilers), but here are my thoughts so far... I'd have to describe the show in a nutshell as laughable and hard to swallow. Maggie Siff is the WORST. ACTRESS. EVER. She makes Hayden Christianson look like Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Totally wooden and stiff, in fact that should be her last name, STIFF. I just want to scream at her to emote. Yet, I cannot figure out if I find her attractive or not. Gemma as a whole is annoying and pointless and does nothing for the show except create distractions. The show grinds to a halt when she's on camera. She is in no way the most desirable woman on the show, yet she's made out to be. It was ridiculous that Opie wasn't mad enough at Clay and Tig for what they did and just got over it when he found out what really happened to his wife. The attempts at humor and levity fall flat and are at best groan worthy after a few episodes. Oh, there's Tig waking up with a hooker's vagina in his face again! Haha, that never stops being hilarious. The "Patch Over" episode from the first season was by far the most eye rolling thing I've ever seen. When Jax laid the vest on the table like it was some holy garment, I almost stopped right there and then. While it's entertaining, it can't even hold The Shield's jock. I really hope that Kurt Sutter did research before he created this show, but I doubt it.

Wake me up when we draft Jake Bearclaw.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 03:09 PM) Price, Scherzer, Sanchez, Verlander vs. Lester, Gray, Kazmir, Samardzija That could be a fun ALCS And the A's will still lose to the Tigers like always and the Tigers will lose to the Cardinals or the f**king Giants.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 31, 2014 -> 01:44 PM) After the show. He's clearly in the closet. Amber is so hot. I'll miss her. Too bad none of these people think for themselves. They'll just all be picked off one by one until Derrick is left standing. That closet door is wide the f**k open. Amber's got a nice butt and nice eyes, but... I guess that's enough, nevermind.

At least this deadline hasn't sucked like last year.
