We F****** SUCK:part deux Game One in Cleveland
it's sad, but Buehrle is really the only one that I care about racking up W's anymore. BTW, glad to see wew've stuck with the concept of Fields batting second and Andy Gonzalez batting sixth.

I've lost five pounds since heading to college, to 130.5.

Official College Football Thread
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 30, 2007 -> 11:57 PM) Reggie Ball is the worst 4-year quarterback in the history of football. He had arguably the greatest WR in college history, and couldn't achieve anything. Not only that, he was just a massive cancer off the field. Managing to avoid throwing to Todd Blythe is quite the feat.

I had a beer and 3 shots of Hawkeye in a half hour before the game tonight and that left me pretty f***ed up for the game. I got thrown up in the air after the first touchdown and crowdsurfed, so we can cross that off the to-do list.

Bret Meyer sucks an immense amount of balls. I don't know if I've ever seen a four year starter get this much worse.

How is your room/dorm mate?
QUOTE(Beastly @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 02:31 PM) My roommate is alright. He watches a lot of the OC and he doesn't go out much. This is good because I am against underaged drinking and such and there's a lot of that on campus at EIU. Not to say if you go out it means underaged drinking but that is the usual thought of going out on a weekend evening, or so it seems. We hang out and play World of Warcraft and such. He does leave the room and work out so I'm not always around him, which is good. Overall, our floor has good guys and if there is a party, it's at a respectful hour and time. He and I are both going home this Labor Day weekend so he can see his friends and so I can see my girlfriend. Eh, that's every college. I didn't think I'd drink either, but just a couple weeks ago my roommate came back to find his beer gone and his roommate trying to pass out in the hallway.

How is your room/dorm mate?
I love my roommates (one female, one male) except for, as I already said, a crazy love for the band Brand New. Other than that, they are the bee's knees.

2007 Post ASB White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 27, 2007 -> 09:40 PM) On the way home from work, I was thinking of where I'd put that. I was going to say 2nd, with Pods walkoff homer 3rd. Like you mention, you might not make the playoffs without Crede. I'll just assume you forgot "Rally."

Six Farmhands Headed to AFL
I would think this means no Jack this year, as he's among the SL leaders in innings anyways. Gio's not headed to the AFL though, so that's something to keep an eye on.

College Help
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 26, 2007 -> 07:50 PM) Can you have George Foreman Grills in the dorms? You mean the one he burnt his foot on? I love Iowa State, but people think I'm silly for doing so.

Fields To Start In Left
QUOTE(spiderman @ Aug 26, 2007 -> 05:20 PM) Why does it matter at this point ? Gonzalez isn't a long-term answer there, he'd only be keeping the spot warm for Crede, and Fields appears to be our LF answer for next season. Because watching Andy Gonzalez play the sport of baseball is like using ketchup on a ham sandwich. Sure it tastes a little different, and it might not taste horrible that first time, but in the end, you never want to eat that sandwich again.

Gio Gonzalez...classiest player in the organization
QUOTE(JPN366 @ Aug 26, 2007 -> 05:09 PM) Really. Paul Kennedy is a great Media Relations guy. He actually interviewed Jack and Gio for us. He always replies to us as well. The Sox have some really good media guys in the system.

Fields To Start In Left
Wait.....if Fields is in LF the rest of the season, I better not see Andy f***ing Gonzalez at third every goddamn game.
-
Fields To Start In Left
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 26, 2007 -> 10:32 AM) What the hell is this bulls***? Gonzalez at third? Have we sunk this low, that a scrub who should be in AA will be playing third base for us so that we might get a look at him for next year? For what? As much as a hate AGon, I want Fields to get time in left, as I suggested happen two years ago.

Gio Gonzalez...classiest player in the organization
QUOTE(JPN366 @ Aug 26, 2007 -> 12:55 AM) Mr. Paul Kennedy is spot on. Paul does a hell of a job himself. He absolutely raves about both Gio and Jack. He's also been really helpful for us.
