  1. BTW, Oklahoma moves to 4-3 in games with AP.
  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:19 AM) I'm not arguing that point. But somebody giving them a tip of the cap, so to speak, is hardly douche baggery. That's the douchebag sportswriter in me talking. I just hope I don't have to hear about Boise State deserving #1 votes. They may get them, but they won't deserve them.
  3. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:15 AM) So what was better, BSU-OU or USC-Texas? 1992 Iowa State over Nebraska.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 2, 2007 -> 12:10 AM) What's wrong with somebody giving them a vote as a salute for a great season? Everone knows they won't win it. It depends if they want to use their ballot in such a manner. They held on against a team that while top 10, isn't close to being national championship caliber. I'd likely vote them 4th or 5th in the final poll depending on the results of other teams, but I fear that enough people might give them enough votes to leapfrog someone more deserving. I know it dosn't mean a whole lot, but that's how I feel. I think OSU, Florida, USC and LSU are teams that are better than them.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 10:05 PM) The Colts are gonna be a really interesting team to watch in the playoffs, because with that defense, Manning is now at the point where he realizes he needs to keep the defense off the field, which is the opposite of what other teams have been doing to them with the running game...keeping manning off the field. So, he's suddenly running a lot more draws and a lot more underneath passing. But the wierd thing about it is...I've thought for 3 years now that the thing Manning needed to do a lot better was focus a lot more on the short passing game. He's something ridiculous like 80% or better on completions on those short, under 10 yard passes to Harrison, Wayne, Clark, and the RB's. Almost every time they lost in 04 and 05, it seemed to be because the other team kicked up the Blitz and Manning still stuck with the slow-developing 5 and 7 step drops, but in the 2nd half he'd start checking off to the underneath routes and suddenly the Colts would start moving the ball. In other words, the Colts crappy defense is forcing Manning to play the exact type of game that Manning needs to play against the teams that have beaten the Colts. Nothing like those underneath passes to Addai. They're just plain sexy to watch develop.
  6. I hope some douchebag writers don't vote for Boise State to be #1 in the AP poll.
  7. No way I send Broadway/Anderson over there.
  8. QUOTE(NUKE @ Jan 1, 2007 -> 02:27 PM) I cant see KC losing to Indy. Not unless everyone on that defense gets some skills planted in there head like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix. The game will come down to T.O.P., IMHO.
  9. For as much as Brian did wrong last year, it seems like a lot of teams would still like to get their hands on him. It's almost like they think he won't continue to suck.....
  10. Well, I'm glad to see he'll start in the pen. I don't want him near the rotation right now.
  11. I hope Indy just destroys KC. I like Edwards, LJ and most of that team, but I feel a heck of a lot more comfortable in the Dome. Hopefully some guys get healthy.
  12. We can get started on this rather soon. I think Tex led this brigade in the past. We can see if he's up for it again.
  13. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) Big 12 was down this year yes, but it was clearly all Iowa State's fault. Clearly.
  14. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 04:52 PM) Jeff Bajenaru is about as far away from being a head case as is possible. Not sure where you get your material, but the act isn't very good. I believe he's looking for Bull and his protecting his glove in the pen. NO DIRT
  15. QUOTE(easyw @ Dec 31, 2006 -> 09:08 AM) Jesus told him to throw all those bad pitches. the guy is a head case. What the f*** are you talking about?
  16. Iowa State dispatches a North Dakota State team that has beatern Marquette and that's been pesky.
  17. It bothers me that the execution squad looks exactly like a bunch of terrorists.
  18. I'm 15-5 so far. f*** you Middle Tennessee.
  19. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) Now that I think about it -- isn't it against SoxTalk protocol to allow threads like this to go on? I don't mind, personally -- hell, if it were up to me, you'd be able to talk about whatever whenever and say whatever. But, I'm curious what makes Saddam's execution and entries about it different than Tookie's. We're pricks.
  20. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 30, 2006 -> 11:16 PM) Boooooo, for a guy who was slick enough to sneak a cell phone in, his camera work got s***tier and s***tier as the action got better and better. I want my money back. The Better Business Bureau is under speed dial as Fire.
  21. I still hate UNI and wish they would slip on some ice.
  22. There's now a video of it on LiveLeak.com.
  23. I'd much rather he continued to rot in NY.
  24. He played for Charlotte last year....
