White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
Brian woulda caught that. In the last pic he's tossing a hat. Word is the hat was thrown so hard it killed a man in Gary.

Lets take a stroll down memory lane...
I think if Brian made more Rowand or webgem catches people would think more of his D. Because the man gets good jumps so he can just camp under a ball of get it on a jog, people aren't thinking he's as good as Rowand. He catches stuff Rowand would've had to dive for and he makes throws Aaron couldn't have. Would people send down Aaron if he was hitting .160?

Center Field Candidate
Let's make a list of games that have been affected because BA wasn't in center.

Goddamit Uribe. If I was GM Pedro Lopez would be starting. Maybe.

Who sits out during Interleague play?
Leave Dye in right, move Crede to short and let Fields play left. Hell yeahs.

White Sox vs. Indians, 5/31/06
Everyone loves Joey Cora, but for every guy he sends home that makes it, another gets thrown out at third on a grounder. Was he signalling to stop?

Recruiting (Text Messages)
I assume you were in the same positon as me. The Heads of the 9 career basketball points was getting a letter from Knox College asking if I'd look at playing basketball there. The Heads of the #5 spot on a tennis team that went 1-6 was getting a letter from Central College requesting if I was interested in their tennis team. American colleges are wasting a lot of trees this way.

Its Time For The Josh Fields Era To Begin...........
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) Why? I expect better out of you than Hunter and Erstad. I really do.

Its Time For The Josh Fields Era To Begin...........
And those of us who are saying this shouldn't be done.....we aren't trying to say Fields will suck (well, some might) but we think this just wouldn't be in our best interest.

Bad Jason. If you were a woman I'd slug you.

Its Time For The Josh Fields Era To Begin...........
QUOTE(Thunderin @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:44 AM) I think the .329 average. the 9HRs, the 29RBI's, the .598 slugging %, the 1.021 OB% and the 98TB will translate alot better to the majors than Anderson's numbers. I hope he could be another Thome eventually, but he just doesn't fit right now. If they were to call him up and he succeeds, I'd love it, but I don't see him up at all.

Its Time For The Josh Fields Era To Begin...........
The worst LF in baseball backs up Pods. Believeit or not, I wouldn't mind a Timo-like player on the team this year instead of Gload. Not Timo, but Timo-ish, if you understand.

Its Time For The Josh Fields Era To Begin...........
QUOTE(Thunderin @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:38 AM) All I can say is Kenny is thinking about doing it. And he knows alot more about baseball than any of us. I was (and still am) a big supporter of Brian Anderson at the beginnning of the season, but I am just tired of watching him either swing and balls in the dirt and strike out or hit the first pitch and its an easy, weak two-chopper to the infield. Something is wrong with the guys swing/mecanics, so let him go to the minors and figure it out. I've thought about it too. This is what causes strokes.

QUOTE(Thunderin @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) I dont think it can be bad. He was a quarterback in college. So was Borchard.

Its Time For The Josh Fields Era To Begin...........
QUOTE(Thunderin @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:16 AM) I have seen highlights of Pods playing center with the Brewers. And he made some decent catches. I think you guys seriously undeerate him. In what way would he lead the league in strikeouts? Please explain. He's struck out 52 times in 45 AAA games. He's always been a high K rate guy. Plus he's never played the outfield.

Its Time For The Josh Fields Era To Begin...........
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ May 30, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) I severly doubt our organization rushes Fields. Especially when you consider he's only played a handful of games in LF. Another problem is expectations. Do you believe he'll hit immediately upon promotion? I doubt it. Hell, he may hit .230 with several HR's, but now how's his OF defense? Has he even played any out there yet?

Its Time For The Josh Fields Era To Begin...........
So, you're willing to start a guy in the majors who has never played in left and one who is shoddy defensively in left to shift to a much tougher task in center? Makes sense to me.

White Sox @ Indians
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 30, 2006 -> 08:10 AM) C.C. is due for a bad outing, and I think tonight will be it. The bad news about that is that if I'm right, we're gonna get the "22-3, 32-9, Heads22isanAssclown" bulls*** again . You'll take it. You love me.

2006 MLB Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 29, 2006 -> 10:08 PM) It can't be done. He is surronded with good protection. He seems to have no hole in his swing. I'd rather take my chances against anyone else. Walk him at any chance.
