New Skin Available
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 18, 2006 -> 02:56 PM) Soild Heads. I guess the one thing I would say is that with the default skin, I like how topics are sort of "boxed in" with the lines, where as this skin doesnt really have that. Does that make sense? Can you give me a screen shot of what you're referring to? The CSS stuff that's used is interchangable but a lot of the stuff is used for different things.

New Skin Available
I've designed a new skin that is much like the old silverish grey. Go down to the pulldown menu at the bottom of the page where the 2.1 skin is selected and choose HeadsCustom to see what it's like. Also, please post any bugs/problems here. I have to go fill a car with gas then I'll be back.

Get your Sox on!!!
Well, the White Sox had a ton of babies this past year, now it's the ST admins. Maybe Gage knocked someone up and we don't know yet....

Brian Anderson
Some splits for Brian, which are sort of interesting Away: .107 Home: .268 5/10 in "close and late situations" QUOTE(greg775 @ May 17, 2006 -> 11:36 PM) True, heads22, but at some point, if he expects to be a big league player contributing to the world champions' lineup, he needs a .350 or .400 month to make up for his s*** first month and a half. I don't see it that way. If he hits .250 the rest of the season, the marginal effect on his average will bring it up to, what, .210-.230? Aren't we asking him to hit .250 with great D? We've got (tied) for the best record in with him hitting in Julio Ramirez territory. If he can hit .300 the rest of the season, that's great, but a slow climb in his average will do. What we need to look for is steady improvement more than anything. If he regresses, that's when we need to worry.

Brian Anderson
People have to remember that with his craptacular start, his average isn't going to raise quickly if he hits .250, which is all most people are asking. He hit .161 in April and .200 in May. He's gonna need a .300 month to start yanking that average up.

KW
QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 17, 2006 -> 10:32 PM) If Fields is in left, and Sweeney in right, who is our leadoff hitter? Robert Valido if he gets his head out of his butt.

Detroit For Real
It's a trite phrase, but "to be the best, you have to beat the best". I'm not gonna consider them with us til they can beat us consistently.

Is singleton any better?
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 17, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) ^^^^ I'm starting to grow tired of Hawk too. He's too predictable, and it's the same thing every game. I won't miss him as much as I previously thought I would when he retires. I just hope DJ sticks around. :uhoh ^^

Math Question...Poker Related
After my AP Calc test I shunned math forever. I shall never go back. On a side note, though, in none of my math classes, ever, have we discussed probability. Not until I took Stat this spring have I done anything at all with it.

Around the Minors Podcast
This podcast is available on iTunes, but yesterday's version centered a lot around the Charlotte Knights. There was an interview with Chris Stewart, Razor Shines, and they discussed a new minor league blog for moms, which Ryan Rodriguez' mom appears to frequent. feed://mlb.mlb.com/feed/podcast/c1291376.xml Links are there, a couple days ago they also interviewed Alan York of the Warthogs, who is a great guy.

Farnsworth
He's been with the team since the beginning. I believe he's Kyle's brother. Pitched for Detroit in 02, 2nd round draft pick in 96. He's a converted starter. Not sure what he throws.

Wow....WhiteSox.com poll results on Cubs series
It’s still the biggest six games of the regular season 1300 votes (28%) Just six more games the team needs to win in pursuit of reaching the postseason 1572 votes (34%) If we lose all six, who cares - as long as we win the World Series 370 votes (8%) We won the World Series. Nothing really could compare ever again 1410 votes (30%) I voted option number 3, and I'm surprised more haven't.....
