Why do you care about my parent's anniversary?

I believe there are a few Buckeyes on here... They just announced that the two would play on national TV this year at the new Wells Fargo Center in Des Moines on December 17. Should be a hell of a game.

It's awesome to play. Especially when you win, which was something new for our HS team this year. I liked playing doubles more, mainly because I got the chance to play a lot more at the net. Kinda hard not get emotional if things are going wrong though. Ask my doubles partner from sophomore year. Somehow my tennis racket ended up getting thrown at his leg and I had to forfeit the match.

Wow. First of all, I don't see Mike Morse staying at SS if he still doesn't use a glove. When comparing Uribe and Ozuna, Uribe is basically the same as Ozuna except better in nearly all facets.

Speaking of playing like an all-star....anyone looked at our RF? I know he doesn't deserve to go based on his horrid start, but he's be electric lately...

There's also a factor when you live in a state such as I do, where the closest thing to a pro team is the (ugh) Iowa Cubs. You'll find most people here are Iowa, Iowa State and UNI (and even Drake) fans here before anything else. You guys know I'm a Sox fan, but I would sure take an ISU football or basketball championship first.

The best week of sports is the first round of the NCAA Tourney. 1) College BBall 2) College FBall 3) MLB 4) NFL 5) Tennis 6) Golf 7) NBA 8) NHL I have a much easier time watching #5 and 6 than the NBA. It literally has to be an ISU player in the NBA to get me to watch.

Anyone watching this year? I was lucky enough to catch the final set of Roddick versus Grosjean. For the first four or so games, Roddick looked invincible. Managed to hold on for the win. IIRC, here are the semifinal matchups: #1 Federer (yea, go Switzerland) vs. #3 Lleyton Hewitt #2 Roddick vs. #12 Johannsen? Hopefully both top seeds hold. Federer vs. Roddick would be awesome.

Actually, i believe he's first on the team. You bet your sweet bippy he starts every day.

But I simulated his season in MVP (MVP Difficulty, even) and he is going to hit .320 with 17 homers and 84 RBI. Promote him now. On the other hand, Cotts has an ERA near nine. Demote him. Now. We can't blow a shot at another sim series. Oh, and did I mention that Joe Borchard leads the International League in homers AND average. That's right b****es.

I believe Timo has options left. Of course, the Sox have said Ross isn't coming back til he can play the outfield.

Part of the rationale behind gamethreads, I've found, is to ahve a place for those overreactions. Of course, some people don't use their brains..... I think you'll find that the longer people are here (possibly Nuke excluded) the less they feel the need to swear. Seems sometimes the kiddies want to get it out of their system. I can look for an optional vulgarity filter or possibly a skin that can do it.
