Sox Cut Another Six By Alex Ernst March 17, 2004 FutureSox.com The Sox made six more cuts today during Spring Training, slimming their roster to 38. Pitcher Gary Majewski was optioned to Charlotte, while pitcher Josh Stewart, catchers Jonathan Aceves, Carlos Maldonado, infielder Mike Bell, and outfielder Mario Valenzuela were reassigned to the Sox minor league camp. The only one of these moves drawing real interest is the reassignment of Stewart. Stewart, the fifth starter at the beginning of 2002 has been hit by a string of injuries over the past year and never really caught on this spring. Valenzuela was looking to try and grab the last bench spot but with so many Sox prospects in front of him and the crowded outfield in Chicago, his chances were slim.

Sox Option Six by Alex Ernst March 15, 2004 FutureSox.com Earlier today, Sox management and manager Ozzie Guillen optioned six players in an attempt to pare the squad down before leaving Tucson. The Sox optioned former Rule V draft pick Francisco Campos to minor league camp, optioned pitchers Arnie Munoz and Enemencio Pacheco to Charlotte, and sent pitchers Ryan Meaux, Ryan Wing and infielder Ruddy Yan to Double-A Birmingham. These moves leave 44 on the big league roster. The option of Campos, who was considered as a contender for the fifth starter at one point, seemed to have come on the heels of a five run performance against Anaheim. Campos is now expected to pitch for Campeche of the Mexican League.

It's not like I have anything important to do...except my essay that I haven't started that is due tomorrow and studying for my Anatomy Semester Test and my Analysis homework....

Last year's Top 50 is up......The new one will be out sometime in the next couple of weeks, but, knowing Jason, switch weeks to month....

We were the worst team in the worst district....it was geographic...Waukon, the team we upset in the first round, ended 12-10...the only other team, West Delaware.....would've been 6-17......it was a crazy game though...cutting a 20+ point lead doen to 3 is nuts.

Didn't play. Coach put in the seniors at the end.

We're still working on getting old articles up....Jas is gone right now, so I'm gonna try and get the rest of the Top 50 up now.

ISU beats Kansas State 78-64 in the first round of Big XII action. Now, I'm waiting to see if Bye can beat Okie State. I hear they play hard....real hard.
