Would you have done things different?
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 7, 2015 -> 09:15 AM) Trevor Hoffman is one of the greatest closers of all time. In his last 9 years on the mound, his average fastball velocity was about 85 MPH. Velocity is good. It is not everything. I have absolutely no qualms with David Robertson. He's kinda short. I'm actually surprised that no one's brought up the fact that Robo has only really closed for one year.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 5, 2015 -> 08:06 PM) Not sure if anyone was watching the last minute of UNC/ND, but Roy Williams misused his timeouts worse than anyone I've ever seen. Ever seen Scott Drew at Baylor?

Should #13 be put back in circulation?
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 3, 2015 -> 03:47 PM) I don't think the White Sox will retire 13. Thanks, Dick. Ha. I don't either. I could see them keeping it out of circulation for a while still, though.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 3, 2015 -> 12:49 PM) Marcus Foster should have transferred from KSU to play for a real coach after his freshman year. He'd have to sit out an extra year to transfer to Iowa State

Hell of a game by the Buckeyes. It's a shame it took this long for a playoff and it's only four teams.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) It's your right to have a conspiracy theory. You really think that the committee isn't smart enough to sort out TCU/Baylor without the Big 12 naming one the champion? Or that it helped Ohio State more to have two Big Ten voices in the room (coaches) than the Big 12 only having one voice (WV AD)?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 05:28 PM) An extra win vs a good team and a consensus league champion is a pretty big deal. Of course if the Big 12 didn't have a moron running it they would have actually given Baylor a good chance at the playoff. I have zero belief that the Big 12 not presenting Baylor as "outright Big 12 champion" made any difference in whether or not they made the playoff. I think that the B1G having two former coaches that supposedly the committee leaned on made a bigger difference. If them not having one of the teams declared Big 12 champions made a difference in them picking teams, then this thing is a pretty big joke. I wouldn't mind seeing Mack Brown on the committee next year in place of Luck.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 05:11 PM) Nope because Baylor was the conference champion. But if Baylor did they would So then are you trying to say a 13th game wouldn't have mattered for Baylor? Big thing is, I see no way the Big 12 adds a title game. I don't think an extra game should matter, though apparently there's obviously disagreement on that.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 03:55 PM) Baylor was the conference champ and would have been in before TCU. But your non con comments are 100% false. So if TCU would have played Ohio State's non conference schedule (three of Navy, Kent State, Va Tech and Cinci) they would have been in? I'm not following what you're saying.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Dec 31, 2014 -> 01:14 PM) If they had played a team better than Minnesota in their non-conf, they wouldn't be playing today. If TCU would have had Ohio State's non conference schedule, they'd have still been left out. I also believe they wouldn't have been in with a 13th game, as I don't believe the committee values the Big 12 that highly, nor does TCU move ratings as much as Ohio State.

Too bad TCU's school name isn't just Texas. Still can't convince me that isn't one of the best four teams in the country.

Right after ISU almost beat Texas, it should have been obvious that Texas isn't any good. Much like the rest of the crap the Big 12 has trotted out there so far.
