  1. If we can't rest Jose with Paulie for a few days, then there's even less reason for Paul to be not the roster
  2. Yup, tagged the helmet, which I don't think counts.
  3. It's like he tries to make us hate him.
  4. Good start. Cosart is throwing garbage.
  5. Jose gets the run in. He's clearly hurt, so I'll take it.
  6. This game could easily have a final score of 15-13
  7. Close your eyes and swing hard, I guess.
  8. Getting back half the runs this inning would be a good start.
  9. I'll be happy with any of the top three. All of them have a chance to be a good major leaguer. I'm more worried about us going rogue.
  10. Gordon's even looking better on his flyouts recently.
  11. QUOTE (KevHead0881 @ May 15, 2014 -> 04:22 PM) Yesterday Bernsy (with info from whatever source he has, I presume) flat out said that Kep was hated in that clubhouse, and even went as far as to say that his personality, coupled with performance and the logjam at that position all contributed to JR's willingness to eat the remainder of his salary. FWIW. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. It's not like we're overloaded with major league talent on the roster - we could have given him one last run at being a bench player.
  12. Agree with both of ya. We don't win long term (this season) without him.
  13. Even though I don't think our record is that much different with him in or out of the lineup, it sure feels better with him in there.
  14. I hope that the same team that today was willing to eat $6 million on Jeff Keppinger is not afraid of spending in the draft.
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ May 9, 2014 -> 09:09 PM) Putnam is reminding me of 1999 Keith Foulke. Not a closer, but comes in for a couple innings and usually is quick about it. The best thing about Putnam is that his outings are nondescript.
  16. Rock - can Mewhort play center at all?
  17. I LIKE THE ALEXEI THAT HITS SLAMS
  18. Cubans! Give us all of them!
  19. Ha, I'll tip my cap to Hawk for that joke. "Good hitters are like doctors - they have patience"
  20. Beautiful, Jose
  21. I sort of hoped Huff was in the booth again. He was pretty good last night, and it's clear Stone is a better broadcaster without Hawk. Don't get me wrong - I love Hawk - and him calling a win is fantastic, but last night was kind of nice as well.
  22. Dear Lord, the Cubs suck
