If ISU hits their threes, they likely win. If they don't, they likely won't. Pretty simple for that game. It's better for Iowa State if Royce White ends with 10 points and 8 assists than 20 points and 2 assists.

Yay, people care! Last year we averaged over 53k fans a game. Maybe we can get it up over 55k and capacity and then finally bowl in the end zone. Factor in at least another 6k for student tickets that haven't been sold yet and sell out yearly and we're already at nearly 14,000. May not seem like a lot, but I'm sure NS can attest that it's a lot for a program that 15 years ago couldn't give away tickets.

Reports: Illini hire John Groce
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 13, 2012 -> 11:28 AM) It's historical. UCONN was nothing until the last 20 years. I don't understand why people can't read that list (and the summary of the list) and understand that. Illinois is a top 15 job. Anyone that thinks otherwise is out of their mind. From the recruiting base to the fans to the tradition. There are a select few powerhouse programs (UNC, Duke, Kentucky, etc), and then there's the level just underneath and Illinois is there. Funny that people point to the last 5-6 years to prove how average they've been, yet they ignore the decade before that, when they won 5 conference titles in an 8 year period. I concur that it's a top 15 job. The problem with the last part is that when recruiting, looking for a new coach, etc., you can't just ignore the last few years. Recruits may not remember 2005 for you guys.

That has UCONN 54th All-Time, so I'll take that ranking with a grain of salt as far as level of prestige.

Midwest Region
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 12, 2012 -> 02:03 PM) @sdsu, @wichita and lbsu aren't big time enough? I don't have much of a beef with the job the committee did but Creighton and Murray's seedds were odd to me. Idk, I just think they are appropriately seeded.

I'm guessing they thought that Creighton didn't have a whole lot of big time wins.

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Mar 11, 2012 -> 10:14 PM) Anyone know if these are brackets? Not sure how good Princeton is, but a home game for the Aces is good. It will be Tuesday night at 7:30. Pittsburgh would be an interesting 2nd game only because I have a good friend that is a Pitt grad. The only games I would want to avoid are Butler and Western Illinois since we've already played them. http://www.gazellegroup.com/events/cbi/201...cket_round1.pdf

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 11, 2012 -> 09:39 PM) That might hold weight, if Kansas was a 1. Missouri is the only 30 win team ever to not get a 1 seed. And if winning the conference outside the tournament is that important 1) Why have the tournament 2) Why isn't Washington in the bracket? How many #1 seeds have not won their conference in the regular season? Honest question.

Selection show is on ESPNU. I actually hope to see Iowa get a bid. They're so schizophrenic that they could make for some good matchups.

UConn-Iowa State will be a fun matchup. I can see Baylor beating Duke or losing to South Dakota State.
