  1. Makes me wish the 2000 ISU team with Fizer and Tinsley would have happened 10 years later. I have no doubt that team would have ripped through this tournament.

    Day 9, plyo.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2010 -> 08:22 AM) He always hits like this in March. April is the month that kills him. I will say if he carries this approach north, he should be fine. He is thinking up the middle first, and turning on pitches when he gets a count. I love me some Paulie nubbers right up the middle into center.

Plyo tonight. I'll need a quad massage after.
  8. Heyman is also good at breaking trades involving Jake Peavy.
  9. Was considering going to see Mitt speak at ISU today but couldn't fit him into my schedule. Would have been interesting.

All four of mine were below the gums and required cutting into the gum and removing it in pieces. I had nitrous and Novocain. If you're on nitrous, you honestly don't give a s*** what is happening. The Novocain takes care of the rest. The most painful part is the next day, but it's more of a moderate ache. I did wake up the next morning with a mouth full of blood, though.

I was awake during surgery. Slav, hit me up on AIM tonight and I'll walk you through it. The surgery is a breeze, especially if they use nitrous, because, honestly, it's kind of a fun experience. Any pain or problems will likely occur afterward.

I'll probably only do it on Fridays thru the end of spring practice. The way it sets up now, on a Friday, my day is spoken for til about 7 PM. So instead of doing it after dinner, letting dinner sit and working out til 9 or 9:30 PM and miss some relaxation time with my friends, I'll see how knocking it out early goes. I like it so far, it is more than I have been sweating in quite a while. The little excel spreadsheet I downloaded for my version is really nice for keeping track. I didn't realize I should record ab ripper if I wasn't doing the full reps, but between Wednesday and this morning, I've already increased my reps on some of those. I don't know if I'm going 100% all the time, because I'm not trying to completely lean out, but I'm trying and I'd say I'm going about 90% this time thru. I might skip the last rep that they do. But I'm sore all over, so it's working (I think). It's weird, because you'd have thought plyo and yoga would be the easier ones, but they're the ones I've had to pause.

Went ahead and did legs and back this morning. Got up at 4 AM. I'll tell you by the end of the day if I do that again. This wasn't as difficult, as my legs and back are probably what I'm the best at. But, I wanted to go ahead and do it in the morning since I work after teaching today and I don't want to punish myself before I go out for the night....I'd rather just enjoy it.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 08:46 AM) He's talking about the protein. You really dont want to exceed your body weight in protein during the day. I generally only take one shake and maybe one bar during the day, so I keep my shakes to around30-40 grams of protein. If you are taking 2 a day, you may not want to have 100 of your protein cals coming from your shakes. Or maybe you do. Just keep an eye on it. And yes, I take it every day, because first of all it keeps you feeling full, and secondly it really helps your recovery so when you do resistance workouts you arent so sore you cant complete them. How are you liking it so far? If you keep it up, you will see results by the end of next week. So, if my shakes are accounting for 52 grams (two scoops), I essentially want to make sure I eat less than another 80 grams? I can't imagine I'd eat that much elsewhere. But have a shake on my rest day too? I'm liking it so far, even if it's kicking my ass. A different part of me feels sore each day. My conundrum tomorrow is to try and fit it into my day, but I'm gonna try.
