  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) ODU and Siena are two pretty solid ooc wins. And no matter how you feel about the Valley, it's still the 9th ranked conference this year and they absolutely destroyed everyone in the regular season and won the conference tournament. They also have the 17th rpi and are 4 and 1 against the top 50. They deserved a 7 seed. That being said, they got a terrible matchup in the first round. The one thing that UNI doesn't have is athletic guards and that's exactly what UNLV does have. UNLV is absolutely fantastic guarding the perimeter and with their length and quickness, I think they're going to give UNI fits. UNI has the advantage in the post but overall I think UNLV is just going to be too tough, I do think it's going to be a fantastic game though. The best high major team they beat is BC, followed by Iowa State. Maybe if UNI didn't just suck at weird times (DePaul, Evansville) I'd say they deserve higher, but ya gotta beat someone better than those two teams (who I ironically both have going Sweet 16)
  3. UNI has very little in the way of quality wins. VERY little.
  4. The sad part is me hoping for a CBI bid that we may turn down.
  5. The South is gonna get dirty.
  6. Jay Bilas made a great point, it's not like any teams that missed is someone that you could call "deserving".
  7. NIT has to be excited about some of the bigger schools they can grab this year.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 05:39 PM) EVERYONE will pick Siena over Purdue. And maybe more people than that.
  9. For the biggest losers that will keep playing.
  10. For even bigger losers.
  11. The thread for all you losers.
  12. LOL, the talk here was Tubby to Oregon and Ben Jacobson to Minnesota.
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) And Kentucky acted like they had won the game. They remain the luckiest and least classy team in NCAA. I hope DeMarcus Cousins gets hit by a train.

  18. Nix has not made a good impression the last few days.
  19. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 14, 2010 -> 01:45 PM) That was kind of the point. If you need 3+ innings he's not going to be able to keep you in the game since you're probably already down big and he's likely to give up a run or 2 himself and if you need 2 innings for whatever reason Pena can give you that with a much greater success rate than Carlos Torres. You're going to have maybe 1 blowout a month where your bullpen has to give you 5+ innings, I'm not going to carry and awful pitcher in Torres and risk losing Santos just for that rare occurrence so he can maybe save Pena, Santos, Williams or Linebrink from having to give you a few innings in the same game. It's a 12 man pen; they can absorb the very rare blowout. And God willing, those blowouts won't happen as often this year. We've got 5 guys that we should be able to lean on in the rotation.
  20. Greg Aquino and Sergio Santos appear to be the early leaders.
  21. God knows that he'll play like this all year.
  22. I'd love for JFP and Alex to make Kenny look like a freakin genius. Alex looked like s*** last year, but at his peak, he's a capable 25-25 guy with great D.
  23. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 12, 2010 -> 05:29 PM) Brackins announced he'll go pro today and two more players (including the starting center) have announced they are leaving. Keep doing a bangup job, McDermott. Back to three open scholarships for next year. Find a f***ing center and a scorer. And now rumors surfacing that two more scholarship players could leave. That would be just super.
  24. I'll be tweeting throughout the game too, at http://www.twitter.com/SoxNet and http://www.twitter.com/FutureSox
